- For this video, I wanted to try something different. I know it is hard to see exactly what I am doing when things go so fast, SO this time I only sped it up 2x so that you don't have to watch over an hour of my hands and the back of my head:) Let me know if you guys like this type of video and I may start a separate channel for these videos. Enjoy!

I love love love this❤. Is so relaxing to just watch you work. I’d watch this on repeat. I like tutorials but sometimes I just want to watch no music no talking. Hope to see more!
Loved it. I could sit and watch you work. I just love every video you do. Love your laugh. Thank you, Mary, for sharing your talent. ❤
I prefer when you talk...one is able to learn❤. Thank you from Nigeria
Love learning new techniques from you Mary but most of all I prefer you talk😊. All your work is inspirational.
Thank you for sharing your talent
Love watching you work, such a perfectionist, another beautiful perfect cake.
Enjoy watching you ,I’m new at Cake decorating and I always learn something new .
Thank you Mary 😊
Thank you for this one. It felt like I was sitting on a stool at your bench, watching (without interrupting 😊)
i wish it was truly realtime. i much more prefer watching the full length of it so i can have it playing while i sit back and relax. so i actually slowed the video even more, though unfortanetly i had to mute it because of the messed up audio. I'd love if you did true real time videos!
Simple yet stunning.❤❤❤
Seeing how your smooth and refine the final buttercream layer on the tiers was so very helpful. I've been decorating for years, but I still like seeing how other decorators do it because I find that I learn new ways of doing things. Thank you, Mary!
I enjoyed this and able to take in all your steps🥰
I love seeing that stencil technique for placing dowels. I’ve also never seen anyone other than me (not a professional) use tape to secure the cake board on the turntable. Perhaps it’s because many content creators skip that part, but I felt all alone in coming up with that haha. Your channel has amazing designs as well as amazing execution.
Thank you so much;)
@@sophisticakesbymaryWhat is in that purple tool toward the end? Royal icing?
I really enjoyed this Mary !!! Thank you for sharing it.
I haven't been able to do much baking other than the small things like some cookies or banana bread lately. I've been staying with my daughter to help out with my gransons that are 2 1/2 & almost 1yr. I absolutely love being their gramma ♥ every minute of it!! Just not much time to make sure batch of macarons or a nice cake. I've become more addicted to making macarons personally but I still keep getting requests for my strawberry crumble cake.. mouthwatering good !! Anyway this was great and I did miss hearing you explain/laugh but I think once and a while one like this is good too. Take care and stay safe!
Thank;) I like to make macs too, but since I closed my business to work for my boss, she is the one who makes those now. That's ok, since now I have time to make these tutorials! Love on those babies! I can't wait to be a grandma, but my kids are still a bit too young. Hopefully in the next 8 to 10 years?
Wunderschön! 😍👍
I would definitely watch a second channel for more videos like these.
So beautiful 😍 amazing work . I want to sell cakes but I get so nervous because my buttercream always does a least one air pocket 😅 . After it sit at room temperature 😅😅😅😅
Same thing happens to me sometimes. It is just part of the process unfortunately. You could try poking a hole down the middle of the stacked and crumbcoated cake and let it sit in the fridge for a while before doing your final coat. That may help in letting the trapped air out .
Is that water that you're spraying on the buttercream? Is it a certain temperature? What's its purpose?
Obrigada por compartilhar ❤Please, can you explain for me?
Bellísima 👏 muy muy delicada y fina. Me encantó!!!! Las flores son naturales o artificiales?
oh how I wish I could take one on one lessons from you!!
I would love to do classes, but I just don't know when I would have time:( I have the space and the desire. Just not time.
Thank you for these helpful tips. Just one thing, why do you spray the liquid on? What does it help with?
That is just water and it helps me smooth the buttercream.
@@sophisticakesbymaryis it hot or room temperature water? Ty
Felicitaciones por su hermoso trabajo, por favor, esta cobertura resiste el calor. Gracias de antemano.
Hi Mary. What are you spraying on the cake as your icing it and how does it help?
That is just water;) It does help me smooth.
Hi Mary! What makes the cakes sometimes hollow in the middle? I saw yours and I thought maybe you have an answer for me🙂 I hope you are relaxing with the family this weekend.
They are probably undercooked 😊
My take on that is that it is temperature fluctuations I'm the oven. When you check in the cakes too mush and open the door, the temp drops quickly, and the middle can sink.
Is that hot water you’re spraying on the cakes?
Just room temp, but it still helps.
why do you lift the straws before putting on the next tier?
That is to keep my fingers from getting in the way.
I’ve never seen you spray water on the cake before. Is that water? Why do you do that?
Yes It is;) It helps to smooth the buttercream.
У нас бы в России вообще бы не поняли эту начинку...
Во 1-ых почему покупная?
Во 2-ых почему так мало начинки и так много сухого бисквита...
Но оформитель вы просто 🔥 таких как вы очень мало.
I don't think she understands russian 🤔 the translation is really wierd 🤔
Yes, I feel like the translation comes across differently than it was meant, so I don't know how to respond;)
Красная начинка - это джем и немного сливок, потому что это просто масло и сахар.🤗
@@sophisticakesbymary
She wanted to know why you buy the red filling (jam) and the bases are so thick.
She don't understand that! 🤗
I ask me always the same question 😅. In Germany we fill also a cake with many different Cremes, fruits and syrup and maybe nuts and the layer of cakes are about 2- 2,5 cm(1 inch). It takes really a lot of time to make all that stuff to fill a cake.
It seems to take so long to just frost the cake
