LOVE Jane since 1997 when I had forgotten all my makeup while traveling for work. The golf/spa had it in Florida. The best work expense ever! Thank you for explaining that the powder foundation works best when applied in downward brush strokes (like “fish scales”). That description will stick with me and keep me from buffing in circular motions.
Been using Jane Iredale for 30 years!!! Still in love with her Amazing Base. Also love her pressed base too. But I am partial to the Amazing Base. Sometihng about it. But I was devastated when they discontinued the Sunbeam bronzer but still love her powder foundations. 💜

The lip glosses as well, I had so many of them but since they changed the formula, they no longer work for me, I find them too sheer and much preferred the thicker, previous versions. Yeah..it's the scales that I don't like. LOL But they do teach their partners and employees that way (I worked for them three years ago, and they used those exact terms. ha!)
I am also a light medium cool and I use the color light beige. I know it is in the light category, but I find it darkens a bit on the skin and is perfect.

Beautiful. Ok. Going to try my jane again today. I build it and just feel like it takes forever to get good coverage! I am wondering if it's because I haven't gotten the primer ...and if I can only get one should it be primer or hydrating serum???? I am determined to mk this work lol
Definitely try a puff or a sponge..that gives a ton more coverage. I will always recommend the hyropure serum foundation...it's my number one liquid foundation in all of my collection.

I think the problem is the word "scales." We tend to avoid scaley anything.

Yes, for sure! I would recommend the hydropure first and foremost. And both the powder foundations work on dry, mature skin in my experience.

Thank you! I personally don't have any creasing, and find that stick in general, are better at longevity than cream shadows otherwise.

It's the vanish foundation brush. I only use it for creams, as it's too dense for powders for me. And thank you!

What color jane iredale powder foundation do you use?
Do you mean the purepressed powder foundation? I can wear Golden Glow, Suntan or Satin. They are all pretty forgiving on me.

That corrector didn’t work for me. It was super drying. Is that why you’re saying you like to warm it up first ? You think that makes a difference?
It makes a huge difference for me. Warming it up and using a fraction of what you think you may need is the trick for me.
