Dear creator, I am 16 now but when I watched this video I was completely obsessed. I think it was 8 years ago but I remember liking this so much, I played this at full blast during my shower when I was little. I come here time to time thinking about it and grateful it’s still here.

@@takiganI just commented asking if this goes back to 2004. But yes it could have been early 2005 that I saw it. First year of college and was donating money for the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. Just like the OP, I was obsessed with this video and would play it over and over in between studying. Even sent it to a friend and I remember him instant messaging me saying, “this just makes me so happy,” and me saying, “me too!” 😊

You can tell because the audio on Gary's video and the one I posted both starts and cuts off in the exact same spot...it also doesn't include the huge bass beat that's at the beginning of this video.
It might not have been the first video (these Maiyahi cat videos were a huge meme on NicoNico after the release of the Ozone song back in '05) but it's the one that blew up on Ebaumsworld and AlbinoBlackSheep, which is almost certainly where Gary saw it....because it's where his own NumaNuma video (and practically every other meme video in the pre-RUclips era) took off from.
