The odor has to be you, somehow! I wore out my first pair after 5 years or so. My second pair is at least 7 years old. Between the two pairs, they saw daily use for 6 years of living in Honduras ~~ trudging through mud & muck, surviving the rainy seasons, climbing to remote villages in the dry season, and just general hard daily use. For the past four years I've lived in SW Florida, and they are on my feet a lot ~~ including my weekly fishing trips with my dad. I jump in the water with them and they've kept me from tearing up my feet on oyster shoals. They have never, ever had an odor problem. I love my Keens and have gotten way more than my money's worth from them!!
I just bought a pair and they're causing blisters on my toe next to my pinky toe on both feet. Any ways to prevent that?
I recently bought a new 2nd pair of Keen H2 Sandals. My originals are > 10 years old, I have enjoyed these as a swim team deck official, hiker, lake person, for casual use around town, who wore the soles out of my original H2's. I experienced the smell, my feet sweat. This was easily cleaned with Soft Soap, old tooth brush to scrub the inside footbed then drying in the sun. These are surprisingly warm for chilly evenings in the Adirondacks. The arch support, overall comfort, traction is a key aspect of why I'm back for another pair. After > 10 years the stitching began to fail where the heel strap connects to the side strap. I will still use my old H2's for water use at the lake. I'm back for pair #2 because this is a quality product that has terrific traction, comfort, durability. I'm a fan of the toe box. This is an awesome go shoe for summer fun active wear.
I had a pair for 4 years. Never had an issue with odor. I absolutely loved them. They were comfortable stable on your feet and wore great as far as durability. I beat the shit out of these sandals. Water beach sand sun you name it.
This is a great pair of sandals and saved my toes many a times too. I use it for bike touring and is great for wet weather. I have the exact same problem with the odour which does not happen on any other sandals. I suspect it only happens in humid conditions. Washing it will keep the odour away for probably one wear. I place the sandals next to an ioniser and it seem to help keep the odour manageable.
this a quality Sandel for 100$ you can't beat it, I had myn for 5 years still look great.
Hi sir! Thank you for the review and the time you took to make the video.
🙂
It could be the neoprene… there’s a neoprene membrane in these that started to stink for me in Afghanistan. Little soap and water and a toothbrush every couple weeks helped
no technical info... do the really run small like Keen says? are the heel pul tab stretchable or not?
I recently bought these. Super quality shoe. Love the toe guard. Have not tried them in water yet tho.
I remember everyone wore these in summer camp a "few" years back. Keens are great
Bro..... Just wash your feet and wash the shoes every now and then. How is this an issue?
Right?
@@andrewahad1561 I think some of us just have sticky feet problems!
I bought a pair of H2s a few years back and I would not recommend them. The reasons why are they are very heavy, they easily fill with dirt, sand, and rocks. You have to take them off to get the debris out. They are difficult to put on or take off when they or your feet are wet. I had to modify mine by cutting the ankle straps. Also the nylon material they are made of is very abrasive.
For every one person that dislikes these sandals, a thousand love them! Imagine that
I love my H2. They are always on my feet..... by the way it must be your feet my pair don’t stink at all.....
The dude literally said he has algae growing on his feet, so yeah, it's his feet.
Can't wait to get another pair. Just had a pair finally crap out after 2 being my only footwear and i live outside with rain and a bit of snow Also lots of work
Seriously best footwear ever,I wear them at work every day doing deliveries on a commercial vehicle with a lot of walking and it's true they do stink even with wearing socks
I love them
And going to stick with them .
Lost me when you said you leave wet shoes in your Jeep for a week. Take better care of your gear and it will take care of you.
this seems to be the go to....for footware.....thanx....
Great review!
How are these for long rough hike?
I have these and they dont run true to size. Definitely get a UK8.5 if you wear a UK8. I regret spending on them!
what color is this example called please?
I buy a pair every year of that exact same model, the stitching most of the time is great, but the last two pairs have been coming apart.
Keen needs to do a better job as these are $99.99 at Dicks sporting goods and I'm looking for better pairs.
I just bought these. Am. It going to the beach with them or go in the water. I hate soggy feet. Hope to use them a lot. I have a keen steel toe and it it a very durable shoe but wanted something a little more airy for the Florida weather.
i use these in new zealand the only complaint i have is you get funny tan lines on your feet but seriously you wont find a beter water shoe
Very good shoes
I thought it was only my feet which smell when wearing these for multi day water sports.
do you have any recomendations, for socks to keep ones feet warm, while being wet...
Any sock which keeps u moving is a good sock for keeping your feet warm .
@@lifesahobby What? How does that help? It doesn’t. 👎
@@catlady8324 alpaca and wool in general keep wet feet warm
@@lifesahobby Thank you, that is much more helpful! 😻
Never wear socks and sandals. It should be illegal.
Spray with some vinegar and rinse. Should kill anything.
lol get some odoban, I still will get these thanks!
That shit is awesome
That s good wen step on fight with other guy wants step on toas 👌😬💪🏻
As long as your not deer hunting who cares whether they stink, your outside with them, so who cares.
No stink so far , 7 months in Asia , after each day I spray with hand sanitizer , maybe this why 🤔
Good fungal advice ...
MSRP?
I believe they are washable.
Lol, sorry man, I have 4 pairs of these and not one stinks, you must be letting them stay wet for days or something, or you actually have a foot odor, lol it's not the keene
How’s the sizing for them ? On the web site it says to go up half a size , is that true ?
Buy a few pairs off of Zappos... Then return what you don't want for a full refund.
@@jondryden7776 - Or someone could simply answer the damn question.
Your feet had a chemical react with these Keen shoe materials.
It is not waterproof.
They gave you these dirty shoes. Lol
Mine do not stink.
Is this good with walking around tide pools with slippery algae covered rocks ?
Keen sandals always stink the worst
Google says this guy has stinky feet. 🦶👃 🤢
Watch out for alligators.
