An excellent video! Totally agree that King is a master at creating such incredible characters., perfect example being The Stand. You end up really caring whether they live or die. He is just a wonderful storyteller. I actually love his short stories and that is a great place to start with King, in my opinion. I would also recommend 11/22/63, such a wonderful novel.

Haven't read 11/22/63 but it's on my list.

I’ve read about a dozen King Novels, and Needful Things was my favorite of them. I read it like 25 years ago, and there are still scenes that are burned into my mind!
I also enjoyed 11/23/64 and The Shining a lot!
Thank you! I’ll add the ones you went over I haven’t read to my (ridiculously long) reading list 😂!

Oh yes, I also have a deciduous TBR list... But you know, I actually really didn't like The Shining, but I understand i'm in a minority...

If you can read some short horror stories it must be fascinating!

Needful Things was the last book I read of King’s in 1991. I got burnout and his style was getting too wordy.

I totally understand. But if you still want to give him a chance, I suggest trying one of his newer books, it's a lot less wordy.

My Stephen King reading guide. Step one: throw it in the bin.
    Step two: read something else.

Nooo... Oh well, he's not for everyone. I totally get if people don't like his style but I suggest at least try reading some of his different style books before you decide to give up.

@@thebookworm6554 I've read 19 King books. I've given him more than enough of a chance. He is rubbish.
