Needed this tonight, just left the hospital after saying goodbye to an old friend that's not expected to live through the night. Trying to drive through the tears isn't working so here I sit on the side of the interstate balling like a school boy. Goodbye my friend. See you someday at the loch ...
@terryrobison9866 I am sorry for your loss.
Now you have your own angel looking after you, much love
I just danced to this in the woods while the sun was setting and now I feel like my soul has been cleansed :D
that sounds amazing! i’d love to do that :)

I just noticed the guys in the background talking to each other and pointing to the girls, that's so cute and a great acting plus to tell the story!
Oh yeah
Yup those guys are handsome especially the blonde hair who's dance with Éabha Mcmahon 🥰❤️..Does anyone know who's his name?
That’s so cute
I love how Mairéad's Northern accent can clearly be heard on the lines 'cleaned it out and hired a band.'.
aye
Tara used to play with her eyes closed and a serious expression on her face. What a transformation now that she plays with her eyes open and with a stunning smile. She looks absolutely amazing now.
I love how much fun the guys are having, and how even Tara has a dance partner, though she's fiddling and can't actually 'dance'. It all feels so sweet and good.
Who’s the girl with black hair?
@@jwhaler82 Mairéad Carlin, I believe.
@@jwhaler82Mairéad Carlin 😊
@jwhaler82 that Máiréad Carling
I don't mind Tara but I prefer Máiréad Nesbitt to play because she can play the fiddle, dance and interact with the audience. With heels and big flowing dress. Tara is good but I prefer Máiréad Nesbitt. She was the blonde violinist
Been listening to these wonderful ladies since 2013, and I still feel an urge to sneak out to the forests in the middle of the night to dance with the creatures of myth and legend.
I've never been one to want to go out and dance. However, after I watched them perform this song on the pbs special here and live on tour, I have actually wanted to go out to a dance hall and find a girl to dance. Their music is so amazing it made me do something I never thought I'd do
@@samcohen8894 I kind of feel like this sounds when I dance.
It doesn't matter how old or new their song is, whenever I hear their voices, music, and language, I just lose myself to it and start dancing no matter where I am or who's watching
Same here my friend. Same here.
Me too!! i went to see them in grade 3!! i’m 16 now!! love them so much and have irish blood!!
Here from September 2023 and have watched this like 20x's love the harmony and the smiles
I love every dance song Celtic Woman has done! It's not a Celtic Woman album without one.
Indeed!
"The faery fiddler" was (possibly still is) an online nickname for Celtic Woman's previous fiddler (Mairead). So then I was just calling their current one (Tara) by the same name.
My posts about three and then four were referring to how many of the women from Celtic Woman were on the stage in the video, and I was also thinking that because of that, it's interesting that what number you saw was three.
Magic number also, by the way. ^___^
Maybe *that's* what you were seeing. A triad. ^___^ (Or a trinity. Not a trilogy, that's books, not people.)
(Posted this here when I meant to post it on another thread, but possibly some parts of it may suit here too. Certainly their faery fiddler is a lively and frolicsome part of this dance! ^___^)
Their dance songs are indeed usually the best part of every album. ^___^
Speaking of the "three" symbols and suchlike, there is one on their stage in this production.
Triquetra, symbolic of the Celtic trinity/triad/etc. and then there are three female singers/dancers here.
Plus one, the faery fiddler. ^___^
It is getting interesting that three is coming up a lot lately. (The three friends imagined by another poster in another thread here, for instance.)
@@KittyStarlight Three has been a major number for them for a while. At the Celli had Meav, Lisa, and Orla and since then I don't think they've ever gone beyond three dancers/singers on their dance songs.
There legacy will live on from what was to be a one night concert over a decade later they are still going strong I do miss the original people though
*their
"There" refers to a place, like "here" and "where" 👍
I am happy to know that I am not the only one who feels that way. Well put Charles!
@@lindam.6782 I think he means...Chloe Agnew, Orla Fallon, Lisa Kelly , Mairead Nesbitt ... and my personal muse... the Irish Lark Herself.... Meav Ni Mhaolchatha....
James Parker I’ve never seen this group before today and I had already developed some strong favourites. So I googled these names and I must say they are the favourites! That said I’m not going to say the new girls are not good as well!
@@klntym Just curious.... who among these "strong favourites" stood out for you the most ? :) xx
On summer nights when the barley's high and the stars are twinkling in the sky
Take a walk by the river side and let the music be your guide
Follow where the pathway takes you, on your bike or arm in arm
Through the crossroads, to the dance hall, down the road to Murphy's barn
We plant the seeds and till the soil, we pray for rain and pray for sun
But now it's time to stop a while, forget your worries, every one -
Once the barn was full of grain, then old Murphy took the chance -
Cleaned it out and hired a band - now it's the Ballroom of Romance!
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner, leave your troubles at the door,
We will dance until the morning light, come take my hand and we'll take the floor
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner round the floor now one, two, three,
We will dance until the break of dawn, so take my hand and dance with me
The week is over, work is done, so now it's time to have some fun
The place is old and there's money owed, tonight forget that heavy load
The sky is clear without a cloud, the air it hums with music loud
The moon is full and shining bright they'll come from far and wide tonight
And will I get to steal a glance at the one who sends me in a trance?
If not, at least you'll get the dance down at the Ballroom of Romance!
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner, leave your troubles at the door,
We will dance until the morning light, come take my hand and we'll take the floor,
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner round the floor now one, two, three,
We will dance until the break of dawn, so take my hand and dance with me
Shined his boots and combed his hair, chosen something fine to wear
Like hand in glove, could this be love? Is there magic in the air?
The one that she sees every day now is lost for words to say
To the girl in the flowing dress this night they never will forget.
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner, leave your troubles at the door,
We will dance until the morning light, come take my hand and we'll take the floor,
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner round the floor now one, two, three,
We will dance until the break of dawn, so take my hand and dance with me
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner, leave your troubles at the door,
We will dance until the morning light, come take my hand and we'll take the floor
Whack fol the dah, now swing your partner round the floor now one, two, three,
We will dance until the break of dawn, so take my hand and dance with me.
Thank you. I think I had previously missed a few words.
"Like hand in glove" were some of them.
It is hard to hear every word of this sometimes.
I know I have heard/understood *most* of the words but not all of them.
Thank you for posting.
Thank you so much.
On the summer nights when the ✨️BARN✨️ is high.
Not barley 💀
Forgive my ignorance, but what does "whack fol the dah" mean?
@@lavender2424 Ahhhh. Thank you very much! Makes sense now. I thought maybe was some Irish slang. Lol
Terrific song, very-well sung by three beautiful young Ladies. Love the dresses too.
That "Come take my hand and we'll take the floor" is still magical. ⭐
Love Celtic Woman.
Megan..........The face of an angel and the voice of a nightingale...
I have never felt so proud of my Irish ancestry as I am now.
Me too dude
I think the Irish people are the most beautiful in the world. I recently found out I too have Irish heritage

It just makes you get up. It proper gets into your soul right.
What a band. What a performance. Outstanding.♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love this song. This song has been on repeat for days now and Im not over it. This song makes me wanna dance in a barn with lights hanging around
When I heard this song, weirdly enough I didn't think of romance even though that's what the song is about.
I got the image of three friends traveling around the world. One would be laughing or all three would be laughing at something dumb. One taught the others a simple dance and they just ended up dancing while laughing at each others mistakes. And then they would weird s**t together. Chase each other around in circles, laughing and shouting the whole time.
I like Ireland, and I love Celtic women. Thank you for the uploading this video.
spoken like a true DragonSlayer. I salute you sir
That is actually what it looks like in this video.
Three girls in green dresses and they're dancing all over the stage.
Traveling all over the world too. ^___^
I keep seeing children laughing and playing and dancing (all at the same time) so yes.
Most of them are girls dancing together too so probably somewhat inspired by the Celtic Woman videos in some ways. ^___^
🌟 🌟 🌟
That's for the three friends. Who became singing/dancing stars while they were traveling all around the world. ^___^
Four really if you count the faery fiddler. ^___^
🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
With these ladies around I am certainly not going to get bored during the current lock down! Simply mind blowing! Who comes up with these dance routines?
They do. Or at least, I think they mostly choreograph their own.
Ask them though. I do not know everything. ^__^
I love Celtic Women. It would be nice to see the original lineup back for a reunion.
Playing this video for about the hundredth time or so this year and it is still very, very joyful.
One of the most joyful songs ever written and sung by and for Celtic Woman. Ever.
And I'm still imagining imaginary children dashing all over the stage of my imaginary theater besides.
Celtic Woman is lovely and so is their music. ^___^
Now for the two hundredth or so time in the past year or so.
Love this song so much. 💚💚💚
Every now and again, this song pops up in my head, RUclips is always to the rescue!
Good to dance among the feelings....:)
I do have Irish roots in my family. 5 generations back. I think. But I still feel a connection with this. It does tap your toe and get you up on your feet. When they do a song in Irish language. I close my eyes and it transports me to a forest. Full of sunlight and moonlight, animals, creatures of myth , legend and nature. I've always wanted to speak Irish but I'd always thought it'd be a bit on the nose. My roots being so far back. Anyways. Blessings on you.
If you want to learn to speak Irish, then go for it! Who cares if it's "a bit on the nose," you're free to learn whatever language you so wish.
Been with them since the beginning and grew up listen to their music as a young teen all the way up until now. Really do miss the first original gang, but just like the flowing waters, things will always change. I wish this new group all the luck! They are pretty amazing....but, why wouldn't they be? It's Celtic Woman!!
You are dead right
If they weren’t amazing, they wouldn’t be here!
I've loved these gals when I was a kid and I still do
Just heard of Mairéad Carlin leaving, very sad as she is my favorite current member. But always love this group and excited to see what's ahead!
Devastated to see her go, but excited to see her travel on her new journey.
Forget your worries at the door! Most delightful and merry CW number! Great choreography! Nothing as beautiful as dancing maidens!!!!
I normally don't like live versions, but with this song, I just can't imagine it without the clapping!
Mairéad Carlin is like a cute little mouse I'd like to feed Bon Bon's and cheese too. So adorable. But my heart is with Megan.
02:24 This is my favorite part. When they keep elevating Mairead into the air. It reminds me of the original Peter Pan movies from the 1950's.
So uplifting and joyful! Thank you 💖💖💖
Wowww...keep smiling...enjoy...always..be happy....stay conn.
wow! I love! 😍

Celtic women; I am at a loss for words over this song. All four of you are simply the best. Love from Robert in California.
I played this song at my wedding! It was so much fun! This song is my favorite!

I was blessed to go hear them in concert when they came to Chattanooga Tn in 2013 I took my mom and my twin brother we loved very beautiful young ladies I love their harmonies
They were at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at uf in 2014 and 15 and I have to agree with you statement the stadium was packed both times but you can hear them for about a mile outside Stadium
Love these dances and those angelic songs!
Love the location. Susan is an amazing singer. Lucky enough to see her perform in NH numerous times. ❤🎉
Wow, Mairéad absolutely rocked it dancing. What a performance!
I love the smiles
Saw the tour and this was by far the most fun of the songs! We clapped, cheered, laughed and it was honestly so precious. 💚💛 🇮🇪
Absolutely love Celtic music. My ancestors come from Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and Germany/Prussia. I've always grown up with listening to Scottish and Irish music, from doing Irish dancing. Love it!

Cannot get enough of Celtic Woman
my favourite song
Lovely performance, my lovely Celtic Ladies. Love you much just as your music. Tara also made the show more exciting with her violin. Love it much. Greetings and kisses from Poland to Ireland sends Przemo.
You know, this is an amazing tune. Very easy to get stuck in your head. The thing I love most is how Mairead says "out" in the like "cleaned it out and hired a band"
Yep that's her Derry accent coming through.
Just noticed. It’s awesome !
Oh my goodness I noticed that too! Loves it.
Thankyou XXXX
God these women could out sing a angel choir.....perfection personified
This is wonderful to see and hear ❤️!!!
I love everything about this! The catchy tune, the energy, the vibrant dresses...definitely one of my all-time favorites!

I found this wonderful music act on the way home from my 2nd deployment back in 2019. It's like finding a therapy that works, without ingesting anything, except the feel good that these ladys give off when performing. I love Celtic Woman!
Beautiful music, beautiful song, beautiful singing Angels!!!
great dance number by the Ladies of Celtic Woman
I am only 1/4 Irish, love those Irish woman/girl singers. The melody hits me in the heart and all that comes out is love!
Gotta admit songs like this are most fun
I’ve totally enjoyed this wonderful song and dance routine at each of the shows that I’ve attended this year! I can’t wait to see you all again, at Christmas in Pittsburgh! GBY!
