Great lesson! A lot of new ideas coming from this info, as I was just looking at sus4 arpeggios as well, and they are a little tricky to play based on fingerings on guitar vs piano. Thanks!
I love your videos so much man. Your videos are the sole reason I've reached the level I'm at today, thank you so much for your amazing content and I hope your channel continues to grow.
You still getting me with your sense humour ie min penta - boring or called Matteo "Manusco" :) - Another great lesson, always striking a good balance of crystal clear theory, examples, and summary. There are a couple of mistakes (one major, and one minor - no pun intended): at modal examples the chart title shows Fmaj7 for D Dorian example and Dm7 for F Lydian, and at 2:35 the chart Em7(11) shows a 7 (instead of b7) on tab display (top right corner). Hope these can get corrected prior to publishing book, etc. See I was not sleeping in class!
I've been doing something similar forever faking a dark fusion sound with my very limited rudimentary knowledge of theory (im trying to catch up now)...but thanks for Putting this into a logical context it has opened up a way more vocabulary for me .(hopefully ill sound less like a noodling poser !) music really is the pure beauty of math
I have also been composing with quartile chords and shell chords, not using any theory formulas, just going by ear...so yes, Rob to the rescue! He helps us out once again.
Hey man! Yet another very interesting lesson, thank you! This actually was particularly interesting to me, even though very jazzy.... still very useful. Have you ever thought about 7 strings? maybe drop runing and composing chords for prog music... would that be an interesting endeavour...? Thanks and moi moi 🤘👽
Yes that right. Sus chords can be arranged to be a quartal chords, like quartal chords can be arranged to be quintal chords. The arrangement determines the sound.
Probably the best channel for guitar tuition, presenting so many theoretical approaches in a concise and clear manner.
Thank you.
Thank YOU!
I admire not only your musical knowledge and talent, but also your skills to present all these. Perfect content and graphics.
Thanks!

I found this at the perfect time. I'm quickly integrating these concepts. Just like all new ideas I've just scratched the surface. Thanks!
I’m thankful I took time writing Roman numeral chart in front of me years ago
maybe the most important video i ever/ watched for years
Thank you !

Nice to hear!
Dude this channel is a treasure! Teaching me so many new things! Thank you!
Very intuitive , thank you.....
Another great video, you’ve put so much work in to produce this. Thank you.
Thanks for the knowledge. Very Nice video
Brilliant lesson.
Excellent presentation and playing as well 👏👏👏.. I’ll be getting to work on this. Thank you!
These fingerings are NEW to me.
Its worth noting that a stack of five perfect fourths gets us the minor 11 chord, or minor pentatonic. Five p5s gets the major pentatonic.
Fantastic video! I really dig the history lessons. It's a really unique addition that you don't get much anywhere else.
Thank you!
Your videos are always helpful. Thanks for sharing.🎸
Thanks for all the inspiration ;)

Unfortunately I can't make any corrections after the video is published....
I'm still working on quirkle arpeggios!
I hope to get to this, soon. ❤️
Enjoying these posts. I need to get off my arse and start writing again.
super Merci beaucoup
8:08 Man, that sounds so damn cool! Really enjoying this lesson. Thank you!

Theory can come in very handy, but in the end your ears should be the judge :)
Very useful lesson, well taught, and demonstrated. 👍Subscribed
Thank you for subscribing!
Some of the stuff you played reminds me of ELP.
That could well be, because ELP where known users of quartal chords too.

Yes that would be a interesting path!
Really cool idea, flushed out. A little less reverb would be nice though
What is the function of the capo or wrap on the first fret?
it's to stop the open strings from sounding, that way you'll get a cleaner sound overall. I'm using a 50 pence hair tie for this.
uah! 🐻💥💥💥👍
👍👍👍
I thought C, F and Bb was an F sus 4.
Yes that right. Sus chords can be arranged to be a quartal chords, like quartal chords can be arranged to be quintal chords. The arrangement determines the sound.
Is there a pdf for purchase with the other modal video mentioned? What’s the title?
I'm working on it at this very moment :)
😊👍
Could that be a major 🤔 9/6 also
Terrific video as usual! Very well produced and insightful
Thanks Zuice ;)
