I'm losing my mind specifically at the orange wall at 4:59, Chris Vance was out for BLOOD when he charted this version. We are eating goooood this week.
I wonder if that note is an accident or something. Looks like something in Moonscraper where if you place the note a little too far it won’t automatically assign itself as a HOPO like the rest. Do we know if the official charting software was similar in this regard?
That beta chart was interesting. Several parts in that chart were all over the place and some were just evil. I was also not expecting that part in the Climactic Build-Up section or the part in the Rampaging Dragons section, either. Wow.
4:59 has gotta be the opposite of what happened with Ballroom Blitz in 80s. Instead of some jackass deciding to overchart it for the final release, they actually showed some mercy and charted this more sensibly. I bet Chris would’ve taken at least…two more days to FC this back in the day if the beta chart was the final version.
And to think the beta chart was going to be much more difficult. That's wild. In fact, it looks like this month was wild for both RB and GH in terms of beta versions of their games. Nice.
@@Grandtarkus more or less, yeah. Specifically an early build of the Wii version of RB3, which among all had some charts for songs that never made it to the main RB3 song list. Although not all of them were 100% finished, but still.
@@BlissBee It's not possible in GH3 though as I believe it requires overlapping star powers which wasn't a feature back then. Beta chart might have enough extra notes to make it possible.
Thank you! I used a high hyperspeed setting in my video, and I typically don't like using hyperspeed in videos like this so it's easier to glance between both charts without the notes flying at you real quick.
The Rock Meter and Score Meter were both raised up just little bit in the final, if you look at the strikeline on beta the rock meter and score meter are a little lower Edit: The Beta strikeline is fucking sick man
At first, I noticed chords in places where the commercial release didn't have them, leading to an early score differential. Then the interspersed strum notes among the HOPO sections. As many others have said: evil
@@aWiseMoose as most of us probably already know, Mother in GHII also had an un-nerfed outro solo in Co-Op. I wonder if it’s just a simple oversight, a leftover from Beta they didn’t remember to balance out the way the lead chart was.
I bet it would’ve been. Adding the base score difference of 5048 into the optimal score of 991934 brings it to 996982. You’d only need to score more 3018 points under a revamped SP path. That’s getting just ~15 more single notes under 8x multiplier. It’s not this simple of course, considering the non-overlapping SP of GH3, but seeing as there release chart is more or less just a nerfed version, I believe 1mil would’ve been, and I heavily put this in parentheses, ”easily” possible.
the only difference between Beta and the final product version of Guitar Hero 3 is that the Final Product just left out 33 notes so thats why the final product chart was different to the beta version.
Beta solo is so much tougher than final. I still can’t believe we got this chart
beta FGFC when?

Yet they still overcharted it.
This is GH history right here. So happy to see a beta build. Here's hoping for more!
Good to see people making vídeos of the great and old guitar hero
The ending for the beta was nasty. I'd lose my mind.
what a huge fucking month for these series
4:59 That would've taken a while to get down. TTFAF FC might've taken a lot longer. 7:02 as well

Thank you for the comparison upload to save me time lmao
Waiting for the day certainly came sooner than I expected 😂
surprising how the same song can have such different versions
That beta chart is definitely a chart lol
Its clear the person that hoarded this wanted to steer attention away from Fortnite Festival
They knew about fortnite festival 10 years ago?
As jankier as the old chart is, I kind of wanted them to keep it just because judging from the default score, 1 Mil for this song might be possible.
I think it's possible to get 1000k score with optimized star power

1:48 That part should of made the cut. It's not much harder and it sounds correct.
Thanks, Darkly
Funny how Solo Fill II remains un-nerfed in the co-op rhythm chart.
Wow I didn't even realize that! It's slightly different, but much closer to the prototype chart than the final lead chart.

if we had the beta version with the right squeeze for points, u could get a mil on gh3
0:32 can anyone explain to me how the score is slightly different even though the same number of notes were hit including sustains?
The prototype calculates points gained from sustains differently than the final version.
@@aWiseMoose ah, thanks for the clarification.
It'd be cool to see ExileLord's squeeze bot to squeeze this, see if 1mil is possible

You know that the beta chart has 20 more notes than the final, so that's why some of the sections in the beta chart are very hard to do.

Can you possibly do a comparison between Smash hits and 3?
