Press FS2 & FS3 to switch presets in snapshot mode. Just a little tip I found by accident.

@@HeyWorshipLeader oh also learned you can use fs1 and fs2 together as well. Those scroll the presets up and the other 2 scroll down. Pretty nifty. Now I can use my external switches for something else. The more you know! 😀

I think Command Center is great to control other pedals... but i believe it's not a substitute for what a midi controller can do to the Hx Stomp: quick access to tap tempo, tuner, footswitches 4 & 5, preset change, bank up and down, go from snapshop to preset to stomp mode... just using your feet!

Just got my MCX and your videos have been invaluable in getting set up. Right now I'm basically using the MCX for Patch Up/Down (long press A/C) and snapshots (short press A-C). I'm using Command Center to send PC messages to my SA Collider to match up the reverb and delays for the specific patchs (PC's 1-127 match the Colliders memory slots so I can tailor make them for each patch). Seems to be working out pretty well, thanks for all your help. The only downside is that I've not found a way to make the PC' in Command Center be snapshot specific. Maybe you can't do that. It worked for CC messaged but so far, not for PCs.

Wondering about using Command Center to turn pages on the Planning Center Music Stand App on an iPad.
I know it can be done...but I also need to dive in a figure out how to do it.

I just want to send a simple MIDI PC message from my Stomp XL to a delay unit that I have in its fx loop. In the Command Center, I didn't see any place to put in PC numbers, just CC numbers. Did you cover Program Changes in another video? Edit: I think I see it now in Command Center. It's under Bank/Program where "Program"=Program Change messages.

Hello man. great video. I am trying to do this with my specular tempus. I want to use my HX presets at the same time that I switch for my Specular presets.... if you have some tips would be great. thanks
I've never had the tempus, but I know it's possible. You'd just need to look up the midi commands page of the Tempus and send those commands whenever you want...I know that's not much help, but If I get my hands on one I can make a video

what about replace the jet mcx with the new jet micro hx 3.0?
So the JET Micro 3.0 is pre-mapped for the stomp...but it's not a fully customizable midi controller like their MCX. But...you're right...you can get a lot done with the Micro 3.0 and Command Center...just still not powerful enough for my needs. The MCX has me covered there.
Have you/can you do a video specifically showing if and how the HX Stomp works with Disaster Area DPC-8EZ? Or, do you have a link showing how I use the 8 pedal looper with HX Stomp? Thanks
I haven't and I don't have a looper...but that's a good idea...maybe one day if I get one!
Thanks for all these videos about the 3.0 update! I'm so close to buying the Stomp! Wanted to ask: do you have experience with Neural DSP plugins on computer? Would it be possible to control their presets with the HX Stomp via USB now?

Great video, haven't seen anyone do this yet. I noticed in Command Centre it has Program so can now send PC messages. Could you assign PC to each footswitch and external footswitches. If so this is a massive step!

I currently run midi out from a 500x to control the pod, but the tap tempo switch clicks too loud so I will use command center to send tap tempo from the stomp back to the 500x, lol that’s about it

What FS/Exp setting do I use for a TRS-dual TS Y cable for one dual switch and one expression pedal?
This is a great question...I may make a video demonstrating. But the first thing to understand is that you only have 2 options "tip" and "ring.". So you'll only be able to use your expression pedal and one of you foot switches. Set "EXP/FS Tip" to FS4, and set "EXP/FS Ring" to EXP 2. Hope that helps
@@HeyWorshipLeader Thanks Jimmy. Do they make a TRS to Midi Converter (Something like the Pirate Exp Doubler) that would take the signal as midi into the HX and control things like the MCX does? I'm trying to find the best setup. I currently have the HX, a double switch and the Jet Micro. I don't (currently) have any other midi pedals. My goal is to have a dual switch (or some other two switches) to either scroll presets or snapshots, the stomps (or presets) on the HX and the micro (or maybe the MCX instead) to do other stops or snapshots... finally I have a mini exp and want 1 more. MAYBE I just need to get more comfortable with the mcx and using double button presses to scroll and do away with the dual switch.
Hi guys. I am planning to use command centre to send midi CC to Jackson audio golden boy or broken arrow using hx stomp external footswitch FS4 or FS5.
I am using 5pin MIDI to TRS cable. 5 pin MIDI out from HX stomp to TRS input of golden boy.
I have put correct channel, CC# and value from jackson audio website but unable to make it works.
I am not sure if I doing it right. Anybody has experience before sending midi CC from HX stomp command centre to golden boy/broken arrow? Any input will be great.

What is the FS4 / FS5 sending to the Stomp? Sounds like you have command center correct. I’d just make sure that the external switch is triggering the command on the stomp in the first place. If you have more trouble, send me a video of your settings to jimmy@heyworshipleader.com and I’ll help you out!
@@HeyWorshipLeader thanks Jimmy. I am using FS4 to bypass one of the effect in my HX stomp and FS5 for activating HX stomp tuner. But I can easily vacate those two for controlling golden boy in case I can't send midi and bypassing hx stomp effect simultaneously

So you cant use the CC with stomp mode at all?
I didn't cover that...but you can...You can send cc messages from either or all of the 3 foot switches. Including foot switches 4&5 if you have a switcher. (And 2 expression pedals) But to my knowledge ( I haven't tried it yet) if you are sending cc messages with one of your switches you will not be able to use that switch to control blocks in your Stomp. So you'd be giving up control on a switch to have control somewhere else. But, I still have some digging to do...I plan to try some of this out and will let you know if I find any new info
I have problem with command center!!! can somebody help me? Command center window show that no cc# commands active (I cleaned all commands) but It do commands ( that I wrote and than cleaned, on some presets, and random commands on others) I cant stop it from doing that, and it dont properly work with new commands (it do old command that i cant see in command center ) please help me and forgive my bad english

@@HeyWorshipLeader No. Still struggling I cleaned all commands but It do commands for my delay when I switch presets ( it choose some presets for my del for every preset on hx stomp, but i dont programed them and cant reset this (it show that no command programed for this preset )

Would the stomp xl be better price option and also want to use it with real amps.
If you load a preset on the Stomp, is there a way to have it send MIDI messages for the loaded snapshot? That way, you could have Stomp presets that load settings on external pedals and still have access to your stomp buttons for individual effects.
Yes! Just make sure you use the "Instant" command explained in the video...and you can set unique commands per Snapshot...it's pretty awesome!

I have a helix rack but my floor controller died. I also have an hx stomp and I’m wondering, would it be possible to use the 3 foot switches to change snapshots on the rack with these new midi capabilities?
hmmm...that's a good thought...I would think it should work like any other pedal that can receive midi...as long as you are sending those commands to the correct midi channel....have you tried it since you posted this comment? Did it work?
So can I use my stomp command center to send commands ( midi) to my strymon Volante to switch presets?
Yes! You have a minimum of commands you can send...but if you are just wanting to change presets you shouldn't have a problem. I think you would just select "bank/program" instead of "CC" to select a preset. The Volante has 3 different banks of presets (299 presets), so just look at the manual to see the number to select.

I'm having an issue where I want to send a Bypass CC to Strymon Mobius using Snapshot 1, then with Snapshot 2 I want to send the opposite to Engage the Mobius.
Problem is the Stomp doesn't seem to want to save different MIDI messages per snapshot.
Seems to just be per preset.
In your experience have you been able to set different midi messages per snapshot within the same preset?
Definitely! Make sure you are using the Instant commands and you can send 6 different cc messages per snapshot. If you need more help, email me jimmy@heyworshipleader.com

Yes you can! The manual says, "By default, HX Stomp responds to MIDI clock received from external gear (or your DAW software via USB). HX Stomp can also transmit MIDI clock to external gear or software (transmit is disabled by default). MIDI clock reception (Rx) and transmission (Tx) can be enabled or disabled from the “Global Settings > MIDI/Tempo” menu. In addition, certain modulation effects have distinct rhythmic elements; for example, a tremolo set to a square wave (sometimes called a “slicer”) not only has a tempo but a beat, where the upswing of the wave lands with relation to your song. That is, the effect may be in perfect tempo-sync with your song, but its “downbeat” may be shifted ahead or behind of your drummer’s-or in the studio, your recorded song’s-downbeat.
