Shared.. Love my home town.. Lived off El Rio Dr as a young boy,and attended Smoketree Elementary.. Tons of amazing memories as a boy living,& growing up in Havasu.. 😉
My Godmother moved here from Portland Ore. in 1968 to escape her crazy sons. She passed in 1977, I never saw her here. I came to see her grave site and now live across the wash from her cemetery. Nice town, glad we got here 4 years ago cuz Californians fleeing the insanity have made it incredibly speedy. Wish I had discovered it many years ago.
my mom has lived there 25years iam moving from san bernadinon up there on the 20th this sept, i skied on havazu in 1962 i was 12 years old my uncles boat was a flat bottom with a 327 vett eng
I love Lake Havasu. I have been going down there every year for about 12 years and hopefully one day soon I will be living there. It feels more like home then where I live

The streets are paved with tourists and London Bridge flourished Lord knows every body wants to be the king But some of them couldn't take it and some good one's didn't make it That's the way it goes on the havasu scene Now there's a wino on the corner He was a well known partyer 'til he got burned out by the game Now he'll bum you for some whiskey and tell you how it was back in '82 when they talked about me And I'm watching the sun go down this evening and soon it will wake this town that's made of dreams But before it does a new star will be shining and that's the way it is on the havasu scene From the outside its a castle, from the inside its a prison its easy to live way beyond your means And its a long, long way to the top and even further when you drop and I've been on both ends of the havasu scene And I'm watching the sun go down this evening and soon it'll wake this town that's made of dreams But before it does a new star will be shining and lighting up the ole havasu scene And I'm standing here as the sun goes down this evening and soon it will wake this town that's made of dreams But before it does a new star will be shining lighting up the havasu scene Lighting up the Ole havasu scene
Does anyone else think that this bridge was there all along? How and why would you transport a bridge from London, England to the middle of nowhere in Arizona where 1000 people lived? This story makes absolutely no sense. A man who worked with Disney decides to spend $2.4 million to buy a bridge, (and I guess spring for the expenses to dismember and reassemble it) and move it thousands of miles away. Then build it in sand and spend more money removing the sand and making a canal so water will pass underneath? Doing this all for who? For what purpose? Tourism? You have to be kidding me... smh What else could you fall for if you fell for this? I wonder what other structures were previously around that area. 🤔
High school in the 70's there, what a blast

This was good. I can't believe it only has 8 views. I could watch hours of the history of Havasu. Thanks.

Great video with the most annoying music you can imagine. Scrap and revoice it.

CENTRAL Arizona Project
Great video and narration but absolutely HORRIBLE music. I'd redo it and turn that cruddy music WAY DOWN.
I agree. There are other good music on RUclips music library that could be used. Other then that, great video...
how hokey to show a scene from a model railroad layout. Loser international. see it a .58

@@TheKassusa Yea, boy is he dumb.
Yes , the bridge was formed naturally by the constant flow of the river over thousands of years.
Please stay where you live Casper
