Given the number of train crew friends I have, I’ve gotten sick and tired of these idiot truck drivers continually ignoring multiple “no trucks allowed” and “low clearance” signs, getting their trucks stuck anyway, and putting the train crew’s lives in danger! These drivers are getting dumber by the day. I see their stupidity daily on the interstates. It’s unreal.
I used to drive long-haul trucks for a few years. Now with the new federally mandated e-logs we have been required to use, there's less freedom and it's not worth a ticket if you go 2mins over your driving time hunting for a safe parking space for the night. I quit that job and got something better than long-haul with better pay. Now new truckers just keep quitting after learning what it is like after about a year, and the next new guy from off the street gets to try it out until they get tired of it too. Don't get me wrong, there are some good line-haul jobs out there, but they can be hard to get since they are very coveted among truck drivers.
I saw another angle on this accident and the driver of the truck was standing on the back side of the impact just outside of this video to the right. Not so smart.
Inasne , first a grain truck, then a Intermodal truck, and now a truck carying bricks, how the did the crew survive that? What's next?. Car hauler?,Lowboy,Utility Trailer?.
