The Burglar. The greatest Spider-Man villian ever
Facts
Doc Ock, eat your heart out!
When you think about it he is spiderman,s best friend because if he did not kill uncle ben spiderman would not be spiderman
Nah it’s the spider
@@HelenPaulTv Peter would disagree
Spectacular spiderman had an interesting take on the story. The burglar was Felicia hardy's (black cat's) father. He was a cat burglar who prided himself on never killing anyone, but as he grew older and slower he eventually started getting worried and started carrying a gun. Killing ben parker was an accident that he regrets to this day. He even passes up an opportunity to escape prison in order to help contain the rioting prisoners. Even when Peter tells him he'll never be forgiven, he's fine with that
Ik I love that version
And that kinda made a Change of Peter and Felica's thing 😑
@Selena223 unfortunately, it only upsets Black cat for the fact that she never succeeded on freeing her father and she blames Spidey for that failure, even though that it is her father's choice to stay behind to stop the inmates who are about to escape and nearly succeeded. Black cat never forgave Spidey for not freeing her father from prison and ran off!
That may explain why Peter Parker was pissed off at the sandman since he was wrongfully acusing him of his uncle's death
*Spider-Man’s version of Joe Chill*
Man I just realized how many similarities Batman and spidy have
@@An_Owl_named_VIPER spidey
yeah
That's exactly what I thought
Peter revealing himself to the Burglar reminded me of how (pre-Crisis)Batman confronted Joe Chill and revealed his own identity. The story was originally told in Batman(1940) #47(later reprinted in The Greatest Batman Stories Ever Told trade) and then retold in The Untold Legend of the Batman. It was also adapted as an episode of the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon, "Chill of the Night," written by Paul Dini.
In another version the burglar was Herman Schultz, the future Shocker, who stole the experimental vibro-gauntlets from a science lab that just happened to be in the same building at which the wrestling matches took place.
So not only did Peter cause the death of his uncle; he also aided in the creation of one of his own enemies.
In another story where Spidey and Wolverine save a kidnapped mutant little girl, one of the kidnappers is dressed exactly like the burglar, which Peter then recognizes as his dentist.
As far as i know it was never revealed if this dentist had any connection to the burglar, or why a dentist was working with a gang of child abducters in the first place.
In the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon Series it was the father of Black Cat thats my favourite version
"I missed the part where thats my problem"
Thanos: I don't wanna hurt you
The guy: Gimme ya car
And yet we never learned this individual's name.
Except in the movie Spider-Man 3 when it was revealed in a criminal file that his name was Dennis Carradine.
We knew his last name was "Carradine" because his daughter's name was Jessica Carradine. Then the movie said his first name was "Dennis".
@@ShadowSonic2 either way as far as I'm concerned that is the character's name because it's pretty much the only one that's ever been associated with the character unless you count that boss battle in the game based on the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie in which his name is Spike. Unless there's like this super obscure Spider-Man story that I don't know about which gives the completely different name to Uncle Ben's killer.
I wonder why this feud between spider man and the burglar isn’t a animated movie yet sounds like the perfect plot for one
WOW!
A character so important for the origin of a superhero.
Since now I thought that his only purpose was to push Peter to fight crime, but NOW!
HE IS A GREATER CHARACTER THAN I THOUGHT!
Honestly felt more like a shoehorned story that adds nothing to the character XD
The Burglar kills Galactus with his gun.
All that trouble over a box of useless paper.
My favorite part was when Spider-Man convinced May to let him help her to the hospital
RIP UNCLE BEN
“Don’t hurt me! Just give me a chance. JUST GIVE ME A CHANCE!”
"WHAT ABOUT MY UNCLE DID YOU GIVE HIM A CHANCE?!! DID YOU?!!"
1 life being taken by a small time crook resulted in many more lives being saved
Would Love a Spider-Man Universe where The Burglar works for the Kingpin
You are really underrated. Hope you get to that 15k soon!
Wow the burglar was a real piece of work.
Surprised there hasn't been a story of the spider who bit him.
The spider's name was Ben. Wife and 800 kids. Was at the lab as a subject for clinical trial. Rest is history
sooooo am I to understand that Mysterio spends a good amount of time working at a nursing home hoping someone dies? You can't just show up as a person there has to be a backstory and relationships Mysterio keeps up with the elderly...over an extensive period of time....
I had a Aunt May, love ya keep up the good work 👌
At 1:07 you forgot the pupils in Spider-Man's eyes 😂😂!!!!! That picture always creeped me out, but at the same time it's kinda weird seeing the picture with the pupils 😂😂. Great video man! 👍🏽
I always found that super weird that they decided to add pupils to his eyes in that image too
"wrought" love that
Spoderman s orign is very similar to Batman s . The Burglar is replaced by Joe Chill.
Shouldn't Norman be jealous of this guy.
so wait the burglar did that all for nothing?
The old spider man logo on his back is not spider.. it looks like a tick..
Nah peter just miss the part where thats his problem.
great job on this video
Fan theory. Ben was in on it
Liked the Ditko art
Great video context
Wow I see you been kraken down on these bios 🦑
Could you do the origin of Mysterio please? Love your videos!
Omnipresent Nerd Guy he was a special effects expert
SFX guy whose hubris caused one of the stars of the show he worked on to die, accidentally. Spiraled downhill from there
MeryMarvelite did one for Mysterio. Pls do a youtube search: The Origin and History of Mysterio
Wow you're vids are great no other comic book RUclips makes this
Didn't he have a child that Ben's killer in a strange bit of history this child was a lawyer or something?
you need to add the burglar's daughter as well
Love your videos their Far Out! Love to see you do Nova the Human Rocket/Richard Rider, Man-Thing, Rom Spaceknight , the Scarecrow from Dead of the Night #11. The Daredevil villain Copperhead from DD #124 & #125 and the Human Fly #8 & #9. The Torpedo, The Champions & the Human Fly.
This origin story feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone.
I think MerryMarvelite is Stan Lee reincarnated. Anyone else think that?
In all likelihood, the treasure that the mugger was after must’ve been either cash or bonds, potentially worth millions if they hadn’t been destroyed by the corroded box.
Look it’s The Burglar everybody run AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
How about some videos of when Spider-Man met Spider-Woman?
Can we please have origin of Johnn Jonah Jameson one of the Greatest And important Character in the marvel universe
Which one? John Joanne Jameson senior, John Joanne Jameson Junior or John Joanne Jameson Junior Junior?
@@cavareenvius7886 John jonah jamseson Jr
Ok that hole thing about the burglar dying of a heart attack is just Flat out Lazy wiring
Let's not also forget he tried to kill Peter but and while fighting him he had a heart attack and died he is so dumb I'm happy that he is dead now Peter won't have to worry about him anymore
Why is this burglar fucking up Spider-Man so much? Lol
The story was good. but how old was the burglar? He just die by a heart attack trigger by fear? Is more easy belive that some one gets superpowers by a spiderbite. And don't tell me that he born with a weak heart, he never wouldn't survive his firts crime.
he could have had a heart condition... he a was afterall a normal human being acvtively pursued by Spider-Man, the sudden shock after all that fleeing could have killed him if he had some undiagnosed heart condition that was agitated at the wrong time. Heck if you don't want to buy that, some magical being could have intervened.
can your do a video on ben reilly
So why in the 3rd spider-man it said the sandman accidentally killed Uncle Ben? I see why that 3rd film flopped and the 4th one was cancelled
Oh Joe chill
Since I’m not a fan of raimi Spider-Man movies like before but I do love spidey movies. I give raimi and his people credit for the killer the likeness of comic
Joe Chill!
What if the burglar who killed Spider-Man’s Uncle Ben became Spider-Man?
It wasn’t like that
All because of a misunderstanding.
How does the guy get out of prison after murdering someone? He should at least got 20 to life.Sheesh!
My favorite Irish stereotype 🙃
Can we please 🙏 Have The Origin Of Mysterio And The Chameleon
December 17,2021
Wat
This plot feels kind of contrived to me with the later additions.
I kind of wish they could have just left it as a burglar broke in that Peter could have stopped.
That’s Spider-Man comics in a nutshell
It is a rip off of one of the old Batman comics (not in canon) where Bruce meets up with Joe Chill and reveals that he is Batman. This causes Chill to panic and he told the other villains that he created Batman, which they all killed Chill for creating.
A good idea for a mcu movie 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Ninja Student Too kid-friendly and too Disney.
@@soundofmadness595 not really, the whole thing about the Burglar is so silly
Wonder what it would be like if there was a world where Hammerhead was Uncle Ben’s killer
How about a world where kingpin was uncle Ben's killer
Also I don't remember where I heard this but I'm pretty sure there was a story where joker was uncle Ben's killer and carnage was Thomas and Martha Wayne's killer
@@Xavier-the-voodoo-king I would love a world where Kingpin was Uncle Ben’s killer
Hey kids remember that time where Peter found out his clone brother Ben Reilly was dating Uncle Ben's Killer's daughter in 1996 story web of Carnage part 1 of four The Sensational Spider-Man issue 3
You talking about the black 🦊 fox
3:50 HEARTLESS BASTARDS!!!!!
Died because of karma
You know something similar happened to Batman look up joe chill ;)
so peter murdered? yes?
Karma's a bitch
God this origin was terrible
I like this channel but this was a dumb story.
6:57 but that wasn't the end of his story. Years later Jessica Carradine came into the life of both Peter Parker and Ben Reilly. She was the daughter of the burglar and that put a serious strain on hers and Ben's relationship, especially when she discovered that Ben was Spider-Man, having taken over for Peter while they both were under the assumption that Ben was the original Peter Parker and not a clone. She even took photos of him unmasking upon that discovery. When her father was in prison he fabricated events and let on that he was an innocent victim of Spider-Man and that what happened to Ben Parker was an accident as opposed to the version seen here. Driven by revenge and jealousy that Ben had moved onto a different girl, Jessica was going to mail those photos to the daily bugle. But then she watched him risk his life to save a child from a burning building and realized that her father had lied to her and that the man that she loved was a hero and not the villain that she had spent years believing to be. She burned the photos and the negatives and dropped out of sight forever.
So he didn't die
@@Mayhem.jester He did die. It was in prison when he told her of his side of the story which were all lies and she didn't see him before he had a heart attack with the final encounter with Peter. This was her trying to get revenge
@@Artisan1979 oh that makes sense
