It doesn't matter how many times the Chinese regime repeats the same *lies,* or how *angry* it pretends to be, - Taiwan 🇹🇼 is still an independent country.
You are Indian and have no right to say anything about this. India also recognise that Taiwan is a part of China. If Chinese people on Taiwan wants to be an independent country let them change their constitution to state that they are an independent country and not a part of China.
Not by a long shot. The only countries that actually recognise Taiwan as an independent and sovereign state are Belize, Guatemala, Haiti, Holy See, Marshall Islands, Palau, Paraguay, St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Eswatini and Tuvalu. And this list continues to shrink. Not a convincing collection of allies with any power or influence at all.
@ I use the term Taiwan instead of the technically correct ROC as you point out for clarity because many people not from the region or ROC do not know the island as ROC and mix it up with PRC.
It is clear: if Taiwan does not declare independence unilaterally, Beijing will not attack; if Beijing does not attack Taiwan, the USA will not intervene militarily. Therefore, everything depends on the Taiwanese government, the official name of which is still the Republic of China.
Status quo is not going to be a long term solution at the rate China is progressing. Putting China’s nationalist sentiments aside, geographically speaking, Taiwan is too critical to China’s national security for China to ever accept Taiwan’s independence. Just like the Tibet and the Himalayas are critical for China’s fresh water supply. The sooner Taiwanese confront this and start negotiating, the better deal they will get in a reunification arrangement. Taiwan still has chips (pun intended) to bargain with. But that is changing fast.
Silly thinking. It’s Taiwan who is playing USA in order to stand up to China. Simple logic: USA doesn’t need Taiwan except to tickle China (there are other countries for this purpose anyway) while Taiwan needs a big backer and only USA is able to do that.
this should be shown in the Philippines as well....

You sure? It is independent of foreign influence from the other side of the Pacific Ocean?

If your mother does not declare independence, the rapist will not rape her. So everything depends on your mother.

The CPC will likely deal with the KMT, the former government of the mainland and Taiwan.
Secession is always treasonous.
