Your twelve inches to a feet is uncomfortable and difficult to understand. 1 liter of water also weighs 1 kilogram, so comparing volume to weight is also much, much easier in metric system than trying to understand how many pounds, ounces and this and that fit into a cubic inch or I don't even know how that would work.
I felt so betrayed as that single drip of Maraschino cherry syrup made its way down the cake before cutting because it bled through the piped whipped cream. This will be a perfect Valentines Day treat!!! I love Maraschino cherries.
Love your videos! This is the first one that I have come across with 2 ads in the middle of the video. I’m all for monetizing via ads in the beginning, but it really messes up the ASMR experience, especially with the volume jacked way up 😖
Oh no I made it and it was a disaster :( I use a good precise scale, used the exact same ingredients and did everything exactly as in the video.. First the cake itself would not rise, no matter what I did. I tried it 3 times, even added baking powder to one of them, and they all turned out only 1cm high in the end :( had to make a different chocolate cake recipe that always works for me. Then the pink glaze was a failue for sure. Instead of pouring nicely and covering everything evenly, it managed to melt and break down pieces of the cake itself, then mixed with the cream and cake pieces, changed color and became blotchy and mud-like :( It is delicious, really, but looks like something shrek would make :( I am so sorry..
to be honest the only recipe from this channel that worked out for me were brownie cookies, any cake i attempted came out bad(i tried around 3 different ones) and tbh all were nothing special taste-wise either, although i also measured everything precisely with scale and i have some cooking/baking experience. This channel is good for inspiration and asthetic, but its better to take recipes from somewhere else, sadly

sorry to hear this, thank you for your honesty. but this reminds me of the bigger bolder baking channel, i emailed gemma the chef and said one of the recipes was a disaster and said the measurements she was giving out were not accurate. she checked her recipe and apologized admitted her mistake yet never changed what she had put out in public. will be unsubscribing from this channel. thanks again.
A chocolate genoise is a really hard cake to make. I've had so many genoise cakes fail on me. I doubt it's the proportions, you have to read up on what makes genoise work. Same with mirror glaze. These are advanced techniques pared down to what is most pleasing to watch.
Looks really good! But I would have made the glaze for the cake a bit of a more reddish pink. If it weren’t for the cherrys on top it looks more like a strawberry cake.
