You played windmill in old Amsterdam great Lionel.nice tempo and sounds too.Do you remember if Ronnie Hilton sang this as well,? Also loved woman in love. Thank you so much hsve a good week, kind regards.
Hi Lionel, another nice post thank you. I have a copy of ‘Just Friends’ but I’m not sure how to share it with you unfortunately. It’s a pdf file of the lead sheet.
Just found your Itube channel and I really enjoy your playing. Have subscribed and will listen to all your recordings. I play also and have lots of old music titles so if you ever need a copy I’ll try to find it for you.
Hi Lionel - more interesting renditions from your cabinet and your musical brain. I can recall trying to play A Windmill in Old Amsterdam and coming unstuck - it is a tricky one that jumps around all over the place. You finally refused to let it beat you. Must give it another go. Was it Max Bygraves who used to sing it - maybe. A You’re Adorable is also quite tricky but I do have the music to help. Simon Says was one of those 60’s novelty tunes, bit like the Birdy Song - I think someone led with different actions and the listeners followed - or something like that. Your Eyes are the Eyes of a Woman in Love is a good tune. Best wishes for now and don’t get sunburned!!
Yes, my brain tells me Max Bygraves! I have no idea what's coming out of that filing cabinet next. But some of my huge collections of albums also look interesting.
Great stuff Lionel

Yes, it was Ronnie Hilton. Freddie and the dreamers did a version that was in the Canadian chart. Those chords are quite tricky to get right.

@@lionel177 Hello again Lionel - I thought Max B but one of your other correspondents says Ronnie Hilton. Perhaps they both recorded versions of it.
