I think it's a really nice song; Solas was maybe a bit stronger, but I like the mystical atmosphere which makes it feel really Irish. I've actually been to Ireland once (come to think of it, it was a very long time ago...) and in a Gaeltacht even, which I mostly noticed because all road signs were in Irish.
yea i also think Solas was stronger. This is still very nice though. he have a lot of faerie mythology so it would be cool if they leant into that a bit
This video reminds me so much of the Dutch Symphonic Rock band, Within Temptation. Very moody, very atmospheric. It is very similar to last years entry....very similar. It's refreshing to see a country staying true to their culture and roots. I'm from the UK and I have to say that I do not connect in any way to our entry. It's just beat driven pop by numbers. It's just as though AI was asked to write a bland generic hit for a UK girl band. Also, I'm a bit uncomfortable with them trying to be so grown up when they are just 12 and 13. I'm sure it will do well, but I'm backing the songs with a bit of character and soul, which would of course include Ireland.
you know its crazy i remember some kids talking about going to Irish college in Ring when i was in primary school, i think it was like one of the "cool places" to go. the naughty kids went there to smoke i think 😂
I just hope that jury of mine Serbia Wil again be on the ball and award this fairytale with 12 again. I liked Solas better, as for the song buy also as it was filmed in the lighthouse near Malin Haad I was in, literally IN at the top of the same lighthouse! So I feel that song more personally. This year song is a bit more calm, monoton.. but still a fairytale song again. Ireland should stick to Gaelic even in the big Eurovision. Now when everything is political and I think "set up" to at least show to the world your language. Same as I wish that my Serbia (and Croatia) will never ever sing in English again. So 🤞 and have a great hope that Ireland will end in top again!!! BTW I yous LOVE you man! Keep on being yourself....
