Would sitting at home depress cause the suffering to be any less? People need money to help rebuild, I am sure a lot of vendors make a little money to help with repairs. The country would have lost a lot of money, which it cannot afford to do, if they had cancelled the carnival.

@@D4SH19 Yes, everything was already in place . The recovery process is going to take months if not years. Let the people enjoy themselves for a couple days, because they have a long road ahead.
That is the beauty about opinions. Just because some folks are celebrating does not mean they don't have empathy for those suffering. They may very well have contributed to the recovery efforts...

Why do people misuse the lord's name. You think the lord decided to send a hurricane to destroy the homes in SVG but saves their lives. However, he decided he only wants the hurricane to hit just the outskirts of Barbados and not directly because he wants to spear their homes ??? Make it make sense! You may not agree with the carnival celebration so soon after a hurricane and that is OK, but the god we serve is not a wicket god, and if you serve him you should not want destruction on others.
These Vincies don't gave a damn about God and I think they dont need any help. All of this Celebrating in the road does not Show appreciation for Life at all. Almighty God is a Jealous God and He Desires the Praise and Thanks. The next might be Worst than Beryl. Remember Israel put God on the Backburner and made and Worship that Golden Calf. It’s so hard to explain to you people how St Vincent works. Carnival is on MAINLAND! The places which got destroyed are separate islands that we have to take ferry to get to.
The donations will be used to fix those islands not so much mainland. It’s like yall thinking that the people are dancing up on the same island which got destroyed.
Carnival will end tomorrow what will yall say next? Stupessss
