    We are doomed....we will never change this mindset when our youth follow Ginimbi, Olinda, Pokello, Wicknell or Roland. We lack the substantial inspiration that we need. We can only do better if our leadership allow our progressively minded country men and women speak out objectively not just the rich who flash what they have just bought in the name of so called hustling (privileged thieving).
    Whoever comes on the show after this man has to be equally exceptional.
    Now can we please have the likes of Dr Chibanda,the (Mohamed) Mussa family, Cont Mhlanga, James Mushore, Stephanie Travers, Divine Ndlukula, Andy Flower, Heath Streak, Nick Price, the Blacks, Angus Shaw etc
    Thanks in advance 🙏🏾

    As a scientist, I say thumbs up on a very concise explanation of the danger of human hair. Dr Guramatunhu did a fabulous job.
    On Zimbabwe becoming Singapore, or learning from it, I think we need to really understand what helped Singapore come up from abject poverty to what it is today. I did briefly touch on some of the salient points in the blog in the attached link.

    i think beyond the mindset, its also very important to be in touch with the facts. These aren't everyday tourists that are true connoisseurs of art. We go to their own countries the everyday person likewise coudnt name most of the influential artists of the age.
    As long as you are still living with bread and water concerns then art is the furthest thing from your mind. If we truly care about our art then first we should focus on the upliftment of the masses.

You are an ex xception Dr. most men look down on us when we are natural.

    I appreciate your insight doc..but l personally believe that how a woman wears her has nothing to do with her confidence. To me hairstyle is just a preference just like one would prefer to wear jeans , dresses n the like. It will really be a misjudgment to base one's confidence or pride in being African because of the type of hair they prefer. Short hair does not make one African l believe a person is African at heart. I personally have nothing against women with short hair just like l have nothing against women with Brazilian wigs or anything of their choice. A woman with short hair is beautiful and so is a woman with a Brazilian wigs,locks or braids ....just let her be

    • @tjfush
      @tjfush 4 года назад +5

      like really.... why do u want to drag doc to your flawed narratives/arguments...
      To be fair, he was talking of the mindset that has made it abnormal for black women to embrace their natural hair as beautiful.... And the thing with mindsets is you can be very confident and yet mistaken ....
      another thing is how you try to downplay the facts and risks presented.... As someone who has travelled a bit.... its quite odd that it is African women who will defend a callous industry and not demand better for their own beauty....
