Neil Finn has one of the best voices ever! This is reminiscent of the Crowded House days ( i didnt appreciate it until a lot later as I wasn't yet in existence 😂). I Wish there was more like this out there.
Heard this song on the Radio all the time when it got radio airplay in the 90s and thought it beautiful but didn't comprehend the meaning. As an adult it's not only musically gorgeous but lyrically and vocally haunting in the best way. Thanks for creating one of rock/music's greatest tracks.
Beautiful harmony's from the brothers, incredible riff (just cannot stop playing it over in my head), really memorable and meaningful video and a relentless driving rhythm underpinning it all. Pure genius!
Am I the only one who think Red Hot Chilly Peppers ripped off this theme in "OTHERSIDE", not only the german expressionism visuals but the tune itself?
Everything is borrowed from somewhere, nothing is completely original. The Beatles were even copying pieces of stuff they heard and theyre the best of all time. So too with Dylan.
You steal my shadow. You make my blood run dry.
One of the most haunting lines ever.
I think this was the best thing I ever watched when I skipped school (5th form). I recorded it on VHS

With Tim it's even better. God I miss the Enz
One of my fav songs of all time - hits me hard emotionally without fully understanding it - that’s the magic
Absolutely, it moves your soul
My absolute favorite Finn Brothers song ❤
@Neilfinn-01 we've met before in San Diego, y'all are still my favorite band all the way back to the 70s and Split Enz

Hah. I was at that show too!
Love the concert you did in Illinois and the state fair
I just saw that I had this video as disliked. I have correct this error and would like to offer my sincerest apologies.
Lennon and McCartney wish they could write songs like these.

Excellence.
Dobre na drogę do sklepu, do pracy
Do licha dobre stare wino w nowszych butelkach.
Oh my just that
I think in a way the riff inspired Radiohead for "There There".
It reminds me of it too

German Expressionism is the inspiration for loads of music videos, esp metal
