Absolutely no surprise at all to me. Taurus has been crushing it since the G3 and TX-22. They embarrass the competition. Of course the Glock, Sig, and S&W fans will never acknowledge such. Hey, whatever works for them. I love Taurus.
Thing would be really good with a lakeline ported barrel. Got the lakeline stuff for my regular gx4 and turned it into a different pistol. Like a pistol that's been to the gym.
hey, really good review , can you do a compression to the hellcat pro ? I am really considering buying one of them i tested both of them but not in shooting & both felt really good in my hand and in conceal, their are lot in the internet saying the GX4 have problems in the slide lock not engaging properly or releasing prematurely in some cases, did you feel if the trigger pull weight can vary slightly from shot to shot, can you address if you heard or encounter this issues ?
I feel like the only downside is going to be holster comparability for this. Great overall looking firearm and really one I’m considering as next carry gun.
That is a big down side for now. Since barrel length is the same as the GX4 XL, there a good chance major manufactures will get spun up pretty fast, but for now CYA Supply Co and We the people do have options! If you go with the GX4 it will be a great choice
@@T341980 I hear you on that. But also with the addition of the 1913 I feel like finding light bearing holster compatibility for like a tlr7a would be a while hopefully not to long. Was that the x300 or the tlr1? What holster did you use in the video? Was it an omnivore?
Light bearing holsters really are a pain like that! It was indeed the Omnivore with Streamlight TLR-1! The omnivore has been really convenient for testing like this
I got the gx4 to replace my taurus ultralight as my edc because I wanted more capacity with same carry size and I don't regret it at all. Out of all my pistols it has the best natural point of aim for my hands by far. I do wish I had gotten the Toro to red dot it though. That being said even with the factory irons my draw to first hit speed is very good with this this even at distances of 20 yards +
Werkz GX4 Carry Holster with Optic cut and option for a few different lights. Absolute holster perfection IMO. It's the best holster I've ever purchased
wow! awesome to see and hear, love those small "niners". Love how ya call it the golden-age, first I have heard that......Which is nothing new, Kel-Tec P-11, Para double stacks, etc. have been around a long time. That GX4 feels good in the hand.
Its more of an extended GX4 slide. The GX4XL slides have a hole in the bottom to allow for front sight replacement, these do not. Some say the GX4XL do not actually allow for Glock front sights because of that design. This should eliminate that issue. I have a GX4 with Glock sights and had no issue applying them.
@@T341980 Soon after the initial GX4 drop safety recall, Taurus expanded the serial numbers included on the list. However, that was about 6 months ago and this new Carry model only came out a month ago, so one would assume it would be Okay. I wonder if Taurus recalled all unsold GX4's from gun shops, so customers could safely buy, but who knows?
Typically they send us the affected serial numbers and we reach out to the customers. I don't believe all were recalled just a certain "lot" of serial numbers. @@drmitofit2673
@@T341980 Wouldn't it be better for gun shops to go thru their unsold new inventory a cull out the ones on the recall list and exchange them with Taurus rather than customers buying a gun on the recall list and then having the headache of returning and waiting?
@@drmitofit2673 we do remove guns from inventory when there is a recall? And also the ones customers purchased. Not sure what you are wondering about? All recalled serial numbers are removed from inventory and sent back.
For this we used the Blackhawk Omnivore that interfaces with the flashlight. Very convenient when one needs to test several different systems for you don't have to source unique holsters for each one!
Gx4 tactical it’s definitely going to happen
We certainly hope so!
Does Lakeline or someone else make a threaded Barrel for the Carry?
Thanks!
Bought mine last month and it fits my hand unlike any other gun I've had. 400 rnds and still flawless.
Awesome!
At 500 rds on my gx4 carry ..gotta say ..and this hurts its crushing my helkcat osp ..reciol and accuracy is amazing so far

Muddy river Tactical makes good holster for the carry

That's awesome were gonna have to check them out!
Ganhou mais um inscrito, gostei da revisão, tks!
I love my GX4 TORo with a Holosun Green Dot. It's so accurate I carry it everyday, I found a great paddle holster on Amazon and it works great for EDC
It really is a very good choice!

And a FLASHLIGHT mounted that you can signal the space shuttle with 🤣🤣🤣🎃
Saw the ISS at a night shoot last night and we tried our best to get their attention!
did they figure out the drop safety issues?
They did! They have had no more issues or recalls since the initial one.
The front sight on the regular gx4 and gx4xl is steel seeing as how this slide is just an xl slide its a steel front sight.
Admittedly ours was a preproduction model so we hope the production models have that steel front sight

I put Glock 43 sights working perfectly
With this recently released Carry model, did Taurus correct the striker drop safety that was recalled on earlier models?
They have had no issues or recalls since the initial recall.

Yes they did!
Could you please elaborate?
What kind of holster are you using for this gx4 carry?
We used a Blackhawk Omnivore that worked with a TLR-1 for this video.
