He was really great...yet not well known.Imagine Mr. Merrill not sure about the name of the tenor anounced,well, sometimes it is unfair for some artists, not to be well known, even if showing extraordinary talents. Bravooo!!!
what a miss for opera world, he should had been the shining voice on all stages, yet the world was away from him, not fair at all, while there were dominating tenors at the very same period, might tell the story. Voice full of passion and freshness, sparks and power, thank you for posting, exciting to listen all day...
I´m not shure there is a cd with arias of Salvatore for sale. I have this recording on DVD by the way he sings Che gelida manina and a duet from boheme on it as well.
