I was just watching a video on cognitive distortions & he was saying how as a perfectionist we’re setting unrealistic standards for ourselves and then beating ourselves up when we don’t accomplish it. So we have to reprogram our brain to be comfortable with becoming an imperfectionist. Learn to love and embrace doing things to about 85%. That’s a healthy way to measure your accomplishments, don’t need to strive for perfection
Very true words. I've strived for perfection for as long as I can remember (elementary school). It's brings unnecessary stress and unreal expectations. Now its just progression not perfection.
My personal theory is society keys us up with attaining 4.0s and A+ in school and always being the best so kind of hard to turn that hard just because.

every time i get on youtube your videos match what I go through perfectly! I’ve been a christian my entire life (I was born in the church), but almost 2 weeks ago I decided to sit in my closet & dive deeper into my Bible and grow my relationship with Christ. While doing so I felt a wave of sadness & depression, but I know it was the enemy attacking me bc he didn’t want me to grow in Christ & he knew the type of Godly woman I would be & how powerful my prayers are! through this journey I felt lonely- I didn’t have “friends” to call on, my weight has dropped tremendously, my mental state of mind was all over the place & the enemy was literally trying to tell me that I wasn’t worthy, and that I wouldn’t make it BUT my pastors prayed for me, I prayed for me, I continued to open my Bible and read the word! I continued to write in my prayer journal & recite biblical affirmations over my life & now I feel the best that I have ever felt in years! Also, as I was going through the process - God was speaking to me through people. He was assuring me that everything is working in my favor, i’m on the right path, my blessings are coming & I knew it was God talking to me bc I didn’t tell those ppl what I was going through! God listens, he sends blessings, HE LOVES US! while I was going through the valley it was hard, I was scared, I didn’t think I would make it BUT GOD WAS WITH ME!!!!❤️

This is why I was so excited for you to upload because someone gets it, I always feel like you someone understands this complicated feeling!! When my little sister died I condemned myself soooo much because I didn’t do this or I didn’t do that. I was upset with myself, with her, with God. Bro when my sister died (March 6th 2019) I’ll never forget, I didn’t sleep for at least two weeks, so much was happening mind you I’m the only Christian in my family. The rest Muslim and part time catholics (bouncing to Islam and back), so I was being attacked HEAVY maaaan one day I heard the voice of God say my name and it went over my head but then I realised wait that’s not the voice of anybody in this room and God recited the whole Psalms 91 to me (I didn’t know what it was at the time) and I slept peacefully for the first time since her departure. Next day I finally open my bible cause my friend been telling me to read Psalms 91, I read the chapter and almost cried because everything there was exactly what I heard God say the night before. That encounter and when God reminded me of John 10:10 when I wanted to unalive myself a year later will always ground me. I could go on and on but God is really HIM. He is incomparable and He always shows up on time so where you thought you were dismissing what your mum was saying, He was using her to plant seeds in your heart she fulfilled her purpose praise the Lord. The bible says raise the child as you mean to go and you are a fruit that she did just that; so when you feel condemnation creeping in, remember your journey with Christ is a fruit of the seeds God planted in you through her. God through an open Bible recited psalm 45 to me once when i had been attacked in my dreams ... i've never had a sweeter peace than that and that chapter is the promise and picture of His coming that i hold onto forever.

I think 2023 I need to practice doing my stuff by myself, trips, traveling, really any going out type of stuff because I want to develop myself and learn to move more by myself. I came into myself and learned my identity when I spent the most time by myself so I definitely understand the whole rolling solo vibe.
I would say isolation is cool for a moment but the more you time you spend in public alone the more boring it gets. Ive seen movies alone, gone to sports games alone, gone to church alone. At first you dont feel it cause your focused on yourself. But too much time to yourself can hurt you cause you get stuck in your own ways.

I can tell that you genuinely love yourself by the way you take care of yourself. I love that for you. I'm working on living an healthier lifestyle for myself so that the people I love could generate that energy themselves as well. I love the people in my life and want them to take care of themselves and treat their lives preciously because I want them around and love them to death. Sometimes we could be self-centered and do things that could affect our health or do dumb things in life and not recognize it's people that care and love you.

As a Bible believing, Bible obeying, born again Christian. I can relate to the experience of hearing God's voice...it's firm n calm yet authoritative and mighty. It's a wonderful experience. The more you fellowship w the Lord the more he speaks to you and order yours steps in everything. Your zeal n passion for him like never before in life is the power of the Holy Spirit within your spirit. You begin to love what God loves and hate what God hates. He changes the wicked heart of the flesh (things of this world: pride, fornication, malice, covetness etc) and fill it w the fruit of the spirit: love, joy,peace, kindness, goodness, faith, self control, meekness. I love it and I can see God's work in you by your zeal and passion in words you cannot describe to the world. I been there, he transforms us into his image and likeness. Also, I love the way you planted the seed (word of God) into people's hearts at the end of the vid; it's a good way to share the gospel of Jesus. We the Saints are ambassadors for Jesus Christ. I noticed I wasn’t able to hear Him for so long because I was focused on the outside elements that were distracting me and taking up space in my mind. Without all the loud noise I am able to hear Him. Great video btw.

It’s crazy how I ended up here(Jesus) and I wasn’t expecting you to talk about the Lord …but a lot of things you said resonated with me and my personal walk with the Lord! Its crazy! It’s so hard to explain the encounters you have with Him! I remember my encounter with the Lord and I told Him I’m not going to sleep until you fill me with your spirit and give me the gift of speaking in tongues. And He showed up His Glory was there and I reacted the same way as you! It was always hard to explain it and i couldn’t just tell anyone shout it. to this day I think if anyone was to walk in my room they would of been in fear as well. Lol brooo I did the same thing 7 yrs ago. I was at work when I did caregiving for those with mental disabilities and my client went upstairs to his room to sleep. So I was already reading and taking notes as a babe in Christ and around that time I was going through alot so my last resort was to hear from God concerning my life and who I am and what I was called to do right. I got mad at God cuz he never spoke to me and I wanted to hear him. I argued with him at work and went to sleep. I woke up few hours later go to the bathroom and that's when he spoke to me. He said words to me I never would've said about myself or words I never would of used. U right its like he spoke to me in the inner parts of my soul. I was elated and couldn't believe he spoke to me. Since then he's been speaking to me audibly, dream, visions, through songs and movies and all that good stuff. Bro ppl be like why cant I hear from God he dnt speak oh yes he do. Only if u are willing to make time for him what did we do close yourself off from all the noise around u. Bro even one day I was speeding trying to rush back to work and when I got back home and start studying my bible and when I open the bible the first words that jumped out to me slow down!! Lol it put a smile on my face because he's real father and watch over his children and correct us. Bro once u start walking with him u cant stop keep going. Ppl would tell me I change n not the same.. One person told me why I'm trying to live perfect lol 😂. So I said I'm not. Your eyes just see that about my life and how I talk and what I talk about its not rubbish and its all about my kingdom purpose because u have no desire to grow. So Im not trying to be perfect but pleasing to my Father. Its a difference my guy. Is what I told the person ya dig.
I’m a single mother of two and a lot of times I feel super overwhelmed because I’m constantly the one on GO mode so it’s this unintentional feeling I’ve come to understand that I’ve overly focused on and it’s perfectionism. I feel like I have to be doing this a certain way, if I forgot to add a green on their plate one night I’m self sabotaging my mind with negative thoughts vs just being present and proud they still were feed something healthy and I did what I needed too cause I’ve been maybe more exhausted that day. The list can keep going. But any mothers or fathers who have a little more responsibility on their hands just wanna remind us that our perfect is moving with positive intention daily for our seeds. There’s no “ perfect “ parent so what makes you think you have to push yaself to the grave to achieve that?

A lot of us just know of God and not really know God. We know of him by either growing up in the church or hearing and listening to others tell us or teach us of him but we honestly don't really know him until we decided to have a true relationship with him. A true encounter with him. Learning and knowing who God really is and deciding to hear his word and do his word... to really live his word. Putting the old man to death and allowing God to make us over and accept the life of the new man. Knowing God is absolutely a journey but it is even more worth the journey. As a Bible believing, Bible obeying, born again Christian. I can relate to the experience of hearing God's voice...it's firm n calm yet authoritative and mighty. It's a wonderful experience. The more you fellowship w the Lord the more he speaks to you and order yours steps in everything. Your zeal n passion for him like never before in life is the power of the Holy Spirit within your spirit. You begin to love what God loves and hate what God hates. He changes the wicked heart of the flesh (things of this world: pride, fornication, malice, covetness etc) and fill it w the fruit of the spirit: love, joy,peace, kindness, goodness, faith, self control, meekness. I love it and I can see God's work in you by your zeal and passion in words you cannot describe to the world. I been there, he transforms us into his image and likeness. Also, I love the way you planted the seed (word of God) into people's hearts at the end of the vid; it's a good way to share the gospel of Jesus. We the Saints are ambassadors for Jesus Christ. I know exactly what you mean by the whisper. God’s voice sounds just like how it’s described in 1 Kings 19:12. I noticed I wasn’t able to hear Him for so long because I was focused on the outside elements that were distracting me and taking up space in my mind. Without all the loud noise I am able to hear Him.

It’s crazy how I ended up here(Jesus) and I wasn’t expecting you to talk about the Lord …but a lot of things you said resonated with me and my personal walk with the Lord! Its crazy! It’s so hard to explain the encounters you have with Him! I remember my encounter with the Lord and I told Him I’m not going to sleep until you fill me with your spirit and give me the gift of speaking in tongues. And He showed up His Glory was there and I reacted the same way as you! It was always hard to explain it and i couldn’t just tell anyone shout it. to this day I think if anyone was to walk in my room they would of been in fear as well. Lol brooo I did the same thing 7 yrs ago. I was at work when I did caregiving for those with mental disabilities and my client went upstairs to his room to sleep. So I was already reading and taking notes as a babe in Christ and around that time I was going through alot so my last resort was to hear from God concerning my life and who I am and what I was called to do right. I got mad at God cuz he never spoke to me and I wanted to hear him. I argued with him at work and went to sleep. I woke up few hours later go to the bathroom and that's when he spoke to me. He said words to me I never would've said about myself or words I never would of used. U right its like he spoke to me in the inner parts of my soul. I was elated and couldn't believe he spoke to me. Since then he's been speaking to me audibly, dream, visions, through songs and movies and all that good stuff. Bro ppl be like why cant I hear from God he dnt speak oh yes he do. Only if u are willing to make time for him what did we do close yourself off from all the noise around u. Bro even one day I was speeding trying to rush back to work and when I got back home and start studying my bible and when I open the bible the first words that jumped out to me slow down!! Lol it put a smile on my face because he's real father and watch over his children and correct us. Bro once u start walking with him u cant stop keep going. Ppl would tell me I change n not the same.. One person told me why I'm trying to live perfect lol 😂. So I said I'm not. Your eyes just see that about my life and how I talk and what I talk about its not rubbish and its all about my kingdom purpose because u have no desire to grow. So Im not trying to be perfect but pleasing to my Father. Its a difference my guy. Is what I told the person ya dig.
I’m a single mother of two and a lot of times I feel super overwhelmed because I’m constantly the one on GO mode so it’s this unintentional feeling I’ve come to understand that I’ve overly focused on and it’s perfectionism. I feel like I have to be doing this a certain way, if I forgot to add a green on their plate one night I’m self sabotaging my mind with negative thoughts vs just being present and proud they still were feed something healthy and I did what I needed too cause I’ve been maybe more exhausted that day. The list can keep going.
But any mothers or fathers who have a little more responsibility on their hands just wanna remind us that our perfect is moving with positive intention daily for our seeds. There’s no “ perfect “ parent so what makes you think you have to push yaself to the grave to achieve that?

A lot of us just know of God and not really know God. We know of him by either growing up in the church or hearing and listening to others tell us or teach us of him but we honestly don't really know him until we decided to have a true relationship with him. A true encounter with him. Learning and knowing who God really is and deciding to hear his word and do his word... to really live his word. Putting the old man to death and allowing God to make us over and accept the life of the new man. Knowing God is absolutely a journey but it is even more worth the journey. Continue to stay encouraged and encourage others. We appreciate you my brother. Be blessed. 🙏
