How much does that part cost and the price range to replace it??

It would depend on the shop rate honestly, approx 1-2hr job depending if they charge diag(most do) and it depends if you need 1 or both. But if i had to guess off the top of my head it would be between 2-400. May be able to take it to a smaller shop that will help a little more with cost of labor.

Oil change before or after? 10:32

Keeping the oil changed helps reduce the chance of buildup. But if you are replacing the part change the oil with the new parts in so they will get fresh oil.

There a recall from chevy , for 2014 and 2015

    • @TheMechaninition

Could be, but probably not for the solenoids. These engines are very sensitive and if oil isnt maintained 100% there will be issues

I can attest to that .. my 2015 Malibu (now at 266k+ miles) had that issue the first year I bought the car bc I was following the oil percentage life monitor … the moment I began changing the oil every 5-6k miles I’ve never had that issue resurface ever again and I’m already into my 8th year of owning my Malibu

The recall was only for 2014. I just visited the dealer today with this code and they said it does NOT include the 2015. Not happy!!!
