Cummins Oil Change Savior (no oil mess)
Yo.... that KY joke had me dying laughing
Thank you!!
Very helpful! Thank you!
You seem like the guy to ask about my gasket leak from the cat to the pipe, any redneck fixes aside from welding it?
petroleum based lube on a rubber part??
the second race black and red 12 is my cousin he diesnt know he is on here and there next race is sep 17th i think ima be there
That's awesome! They have a race coming up Saturday the 28th and I will be there!
I'm a lady and you made this so easy for me to follow, it was like working in the backyard on cars again with my Dad! You were thorough and gave so much information about how not to die while fixing my truck! Thanks man! Because of you, I'mma be able to fix my own truck!
So glad I could help! Love that it could bring you some memories and save you some cash! With youtube, you can figure out how to do about 90% of anything these days. Thanks for watching!
@@TheMechaninition I wanted to give you an update, I fixed my GMC Acadia!!! It was hard as hell! I bruised up both forearms, got plenty of nicks and cuts, and the serpentine belt almost made me give up. BUT I DID IT! Thank you so much again, man! I couldn't have done it without your guidance!
Awesome! The bruises and cuts are your RUclips Mechanic Certification! Its official now. Welcome to the club!😆🥰
Literally laughed out loud! I am liking and subscribing. Like your style. sir!
Much appreciated! Going to be working on getting some new content out soon. Appriciate your support!
I'm having trouble loosening the belt with the half inch drive. Whenever I try to loosen it snaps right back into place. Any suggestions?
You just have to muscle it all the way loose and use your other hand to slip the belt off of the easiest pully to reach. Or have some one else ready to slip it off of a pully while you loosen the tensioner.
As a former Tacoma owner, everything on this truck is a PITA. From oil changes, to transmission changes, to coolant, etc etc. It's as if it was designed to be purchased and then discarded with when the fluids have run their course.
They want you to bring it back to the dealer so they can keep getting your money. That's unfortunately how most if not all of these companies work these days. They want the independent shops and owners nearly unable to do simple services.
If there is a need for direct sales car tube bundles from the manufacturer, please contact me
love that look he gives after he says KY jelly.😁
@@thomastereszkiewicz2241 😆🥰
Usac sprint cars at Lawrenceburg or Eldora = awesome highly recommend
Definitely wana go to some different tracks its been years since i went to any other than Mt. Lawn.
I like dirt track racing more but this is a really neat facility no doubt. I will be going to that 100 lap Raintree race if i can
I would like to see some dirt track racing, hopefully you make it the Raintee is always good but that may 50 was nuts lol idk if they can top it
Be a man, spend an hour trying to do it with regular shitty pliers
KY?? WTF 😂😂 life saver bro. Thank you.
Glad i could help, and give you a little laugh😆
@@TheMechaninition I wondered what is the size of clamp ? It seem bigger 45mm ? Thanks for great video
Jesus....thank you sir. I subscribed.
Glad I could help! Thanks for the sub!
could i use aquafor instead of vaseline ?
Probably!
Those are on tons of stuf. Not just a 90 f450. Do better
Where in the video did i say these were only on 90 f450s? Oh thats right i didnt! It is what i was working on the tag was for context. Get smarter
What socket did you use to take out the alternator studs?
I dont remember which studs these had but i would assume it was an inverted torx or an 8mm
Excellent video. Just curious what was the price on this job? I ask because the bolt of the idler pully sheared off so now I gotta take the alternator off to get whats left the bolt out. Then replace the pully and belt. I figure i can spend what I save at a shop on tools.
Not sure on the price. This was a friends vehichle and didn't look up labor times. But for an alternator replacement typically 1-2hr around a $100 hr is an average price at a small shop at least in my area
Bro you just saved me a crap ton of frustration!!! YOU DA MAN!
Awesome! Glad i could help!
Only thing I would add is there's really no reason to remove the big cowling piece that goes around the front of the engine compartment, it doesn't give you any added room that is useful for getting the alternator out.
Sometimes i like to take an extra minute to get more viewpoints for angles on bolts.
Thanks for doing A two wheel drive f 350 greatly appreciated Everyone else does the 4 wheel drive Thanks again 👍
No problem, when i looked the job up i couldn't find anything so i figured i would get one out there. Glad it helped!
Sir I like your style. A realistic glimpse into what it’s like to work on cars. Never trust a mechanic that doesn’t swear profusely. Thanks for the chuckle. 🍺
My pleasure! People who think sailors are bad have never worked in a mechanic shop! Lol
Rinse your hoses out with a bit of coolant/ water. then slip it on while it's still wet. otherwise, pretty good. Oh, well, don't get fluid on your hands/ on the outside of the hose. super slippery then.
Got it in my mouth today... was a great time!😆
Is that a 15mm e torx/socket?
Not positive of the size but inverted torx for sure
Magnet or a little super glue
Not everyone has a magnet, and super glue is messy. But use what you have to to get the job done!
A bad and failed car with many problems and malfunctions.
It is a chevy!🤣
There's no way in hell I'd ever let a mechanic like you work on anything like that not even a freaking tricycle
You wouldn't have to worry about that, I'm selective on customers. NO Douchebags accepted.
A magnetic socket works fine
Not everyone has one
@@TheMechaninition but they should
Just use electrical tape
Says that in the video lol
Put a dab of grease on the bolt insert into socket!!
Get a snap on magnet adapter.
Cheaper just to get a new engine..
😆 truth
We aint all rich!
Just put a drop of glue in the socket
Sounds messier
Tape
Says that in the video
I'm sure, 1st thing to come to mind. Firm 🤝
I use grease
Whatever gets the job done
Piece of black tape
Button Magnet inside the socket
Not everyone's has those
Tape
It says that in the video along with paper
Paper works just as well
Yea... it says that in the video🤣
I keep hearing fangers, you from Indiana or the Midwest? My dad always says fangers and lag (leg) or warsher. Hes from Indiana.
Yup, Hoosier! 🤣
Or just use a sheet of paper
Did you not watch the video? 🤣 says paper, tape, etc works as well
This is what children are for
Sometimes child laborers are in school🤣
In my experience, a piece of painters tape works as well. Tape over the top of the bolt head, stick the socket over it, and that holds pretty well.
Was about to commit tape it
Can no one read? 🤣 it said tape paper etc... also works in the video
@@TheMechaninition I'll be honest, I missed the text entirely. Must have looked away for a moment
You aint the only one!🤣
When he said torx vs Allen, actually Allen= hex, and torx is a star with a pin head recess which makes it a security level fastener.
Just call me out! 😆
Love the name, had to subscribe! Came for the video, stayed for the content.
Appriciate you! Hope I'm either helpful or entertaining. Im not always both!🤣
In all seriousness thanks for the tip here! Now, this mechanic may be a lube expert.
🤣 my pleasure, glad i could help!
The look at 1:02 is worth the the whole video!
