Another technique I've heard of and used for feeding powdered food is to wet one end of a toothpick then wipe all the water off and dip the dampened tip into some food. A small amount will stick to the tootpick and you can then dip it into the water to release the food.

Does the methylene blue not harm the newly hatched fry?

Not really I've left them in it a few days with no problems but best to remove them asap

@@JadrenAquatics Good to know, thanks! I just started breeding pseudomugil gertrudae and put the eggs in a container with methylene blue. Once I see the black of the eyes I remove them and place them in a different, small tank to hatch and live in until they're ready for something bigger. The only problem with that is I have some pond snails in there to eat what the fry don't, and when I remove the snail detritus with a turkey baster I'm afraid I'll scoop up one of the eggs by accident. That, plus I'm afraid a snail might eat an egg or two.

@@ryanbender414 I've had snails eat eggs before too so I always try to keep them out of any tanks that have eggs

When will these be available for purchase on the store if not yet? And you don’t need a group to breed?
