How do they work for you, I have the same style of roof bars but not from the same brand and I don't really trust them for putting a box on top of it and catching wind and stuff. They just come loose too easy... What is your experience with this?

Man you make it look easy I try to fit the rear mounting bracket for my Hyundai only to find out the bloody bracket is not wide enough to fit the rear door frame on my car.

Thanks For sharing Bill..I just looked at the price and will have to give them a miss.I frigged my back eight years ago and have been put out to pasture now,so need to do things cheap.I have a chance at picking up some free Kayaks but only have the sports rack on my 1998 hilux 4x4,twin cab..These damn twin cabs are show ponies.I often miss my full tray on previous utes...Actually it is two canoes and two kayaks.I was thinking about making a frame out of timber and screws or even welding something up .Funny that i never even thought of roof racks.The stuff i'm getting is for free but i don't want to stuff my ute up either in getting them.I only have the sports bar and no back rack..If you have any ingenious ideas,i would be glad to hear them Cheers mate.
Hi, I load up the kayaks on the roof/ladder racks on my Ute. I load 2 kayaks directly on top of each other as they are large kayaks. I purchased kayak holders on eBay Which mount onto the roof/ladder racks and didn’t end up using them. You could have the kayaks on a 45 degree in the tub leaning on the sports bar.
@@billshowto Thanks for the reply Bill.Sorry mate, did not realise you replied.The Kayaks are 12ft fibreglass things..I don't think they will last too long going down Parramatta rd on the way home lol.The tubs on these twin cabs are just two small and to top it all off,have hardly any tie down points.I have a bracket on the sports bar,the chrome thing against the rear window i can screw some timber to,then cut some 3.6meter lengths to and screw them to and wedge it into the tub somehow,that,is my next step..I found some real heavy duty racks in the backyard but they will need modifying.They are galvanised steel and as ugly as hell lol..I see a rubber strip on top of the ute but need to check out if they can be bolted somehow if i modify the bracket on the racks to be bolted down...I did also find some heavy duty Rhino racks.They were from a ford and will not fit...The things we do to save $500.lol..Thanks for the help anyway..Cheers.

I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

K189 Fitting Kit is what I successfully used for a Mitsubishi Triton Dual Cab Ute 2012 model. I might add that my racks were the T16 Heavy Duty ones.

I wanted to know this too just got a set but waiting on fitting kit. Rubber boots did not come in my rack kit.

4 years on how are they going and how is the paint?
I sold the car about a year ago, up until then they were great . No sun fade on the racks, extremely durable as i over loaded them countless times. Definitely a great product.
