As a kid growing up, the drink Devon makes in the the vid, was always known as "Irish Moss" (my family is Jamaican). Lot's of historical links between the two countries.
Many Irish were sent to Jamaica and the Caribbean, by Cromwell in the 17th century.

Great stuff ,in Ireland they drink beamish ,also they drink is that color because the hops or barley are burnt ,in Ireland there was a fire and instead of throwing away the burnt stuff they made the drink ✌️

You don't have to boil it in hot water! boil water then put Sea-Moss in hot water- let it soak for 45 mins- strain it then put it in your container with holes in the lid and refrigerate it...That's how you do sea moss!
West Indians have been boiling sea moss for years. I always see people in the comments telling them how it's supposed to done. Sea moss is not new to us, so this isn't something we just learned about like most people.
Either way is fine. I've done both ways
Boiling it you get everything out of the seamoss, than just soak it..

it doesn't have to be in a vacuum bag. West Indian stores have been selling dried sea moss in plastic bags for years. It lasts pretty long
