Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Gym Leader Battle (METAL REMIX) on Mario Paint Composer

- I had some free time this weekend, and so I decided to make a song from my list and upload it so that I don't seem dead :-P It's a "metal" remix of the Pokemon R/B/Y Gym Leader battle theme, and I've been wanting to make it for a while now :-D
This song uses balloon303's Hard Rock II soundfont :-) Check out his awesome videos here!!:

I tried to include all the parts of the original song, but, with this being a remix, I changed some things by adding glissandos, drop-offs, multiple octaves (mainly lower ones), extra harmonies, random held guitar notes, and of course percussion :-) This was a lot of fun to make. I tried to make it sound as heavy as I could, but the soundfont can only do so much ;-) Just as a note, I did incorporate a part of the Pokemon Stadium version of the Gym Leader theme into Files 7 and 8 of the song, if you can recognize it :-P I thought this little part sounded way more hardcore lol. And also, I had a hard time deciding how to transition into the loop at the end of File 12, so please excuse it if you think it sounds weird :-/

I'm a hardcore pokemon fan, I've been listening to this music since I was six. As much as I've always loved pokemon music, the remix you created made me very nostalgic. This made me even more proud to be a pokemon fan and I deeply congratulate you for your ability to make such an amazing remix.
Well done! I think this is some of the most intense music in the series.

Thank you very much! It's actually not too difficult to use such speeds once you practice with them a bit. Really the only difference is that things are more spaced out than at slower speeds, but the spacing is always some sort of multiple of the original tempo's spacing.
This blows me away. It is quite simply the best MPC composition I have ever heard. Ever. 5* and favorited!!!

Haha no worries either, Bulbasaur was my first too. He's super nostalgic to me for that reason.
I picked Grass for the first generation, and 4th generation, and so on, and Fire for 2nd gen, 5 gen and so on, and Water for 3rd gen, 6th gen and so on. Yeah.

Yeah sorry, it was sort of necessary to make the arrangement sound the way I wanted to :-P A faster tempo gives you more space and allows you to place notes on lines that are next to each other but make it sound like they are all on the same beat

In MPC, once you go into higher tempos, there's gaps where it gets slower and faster, therefore you can't get the best tempo all the time. This song is probably in a tempo gap, it's not exactly an easy thing to fix.

Yeah, Blue was a really great game (it was the only one of R/B/Y that I played, but they are all similar). And I agree about the Gym Leader and Trainer music. I actually plan on making another metal remix of the R/B/Y Trainer Battle theme soon! :-D

Yeah normally that is a problem. For this song I don't think it was--I think I could have sped it up a little bit more if I wanted to--but it was on tempo when I was making the song. It is possible that recording it slowed down the song ever so slightly.

ElectricPopTart18, I love this metal version of this. Pokémon is my 2 favorite game. (But legend of Zelda truly is takes the spotlight).Keep up the incredible work man. But up I just one thing to say. Can you possibly make an extended video on this awesome music. I just feel like this is to good to be short. Anyway this is my question, and I won't be upset or anything if you don't do this. I won't really expect any to even see this comment. Anyway your a good composer at this type of thing. And I hope you make a lot more of these. And even I can't make music this good. Hell, I can't even straight up make music in a game.
