Sincerely hoping to see this rig run emulation. Intel drivers for the A750 have matured and what is more, nightly builds of certain emulators may be fully compatible with these new GPUs (basically hoping that there will be no graphic glitches).
I have a similar rig (but an i7 8700) and emulation is fine. Switch is good, RCPS3 mostly works well but Xenia is a no go, and that's partly because Xenia and Arc don't get along well yet lol
Love the vids, but I would love to see you bring back emulation benchmarks, especially RPCS3, when testing these builds. That made your reviews stick out more than other channels. Awesome work nonetheless! 👍
Hey dude, imagine asking a gaming PC enthusiast in 2015 if it's possible to use Intel GPUs on AMD CPUs and they would say "You mean pairing a Intel HD iGPU on an AMD FX CPU? haha😂 what a dumb person.😂" but fast foward to today and this happened, we proved him wrong!

I am loving the value of the Arc A750, RTX 2070, and RX 5700-XT. They are in my opinion, the best GPUS to buy for budget-mid tier gamers in the first half of 2024. They all cost under 200 USD, and they have the same performance as an RTX 3060. Right now it's the most popular GPU on the Steam hardware survey, yet it costs over 300 USD.
Just did a build with some of those same parts. The TEAMGROUP T-Force Vulcan Z RAM is always great with good pricing. I have had issues with that ThermalTake 500 Watt 80 White PSU, last one was under-volting and caused the PC to get in a boot loop on power on, had to replace with something else. Plus, that ThermalTake PSU model uses ketchup&mustard cables at the connectors (yuck!).
Piece of advice: stay away from that Thermaltake PSU as much as possible! Got 3 of those for 3 different builds and every single one of them ended up burning and melting their 8 pin 12V ATX connectors! 2 of them yielded their respective mobos unusable as you could no longer connect a different PSU into their burnt/broken ATX ports. There are safer options out there from more reputable brands. Beware!
It's interesting how much the intel ones have improved. For instance the A750 is listed as neck and neck with a 3060 in the techpowerup database. I don't think they track improvements with driver updates. So according to timespy, your a750 is about 40% faster than my 3060
This is VERY similar to my current build, but I used an i7 8700. ***EXCEPT*** I NEEDED to go higher than a 500w PSU. With my original 550w I kept getting glitches and screen blackouts. I upgraded to an 850w Gold PSU and haven't had any issues since.
Apparently nobody in the chimeraOS team has a arc gpu but they said it might work with arc cards you ahould dp some testing im building a budget steam os system but cant find any good deals on amd gpus near me, just a thought!
I have almost exactly this setup (5600X3D and 650W PSU instead), and aside from FF11's launcher being a garbled mess, I've had no issues playing any of the games I want to play. I also have an RX 6700 XT which I swap in from time to time to compare performance, and while the AMD card pushes more frames, it also pushes more wattage in general, and I always find myself missing things like QuickSync and the AV1 encoder for any video editing work. So, the Arc card always goes back in after a week or so. At this stage, my AMD card is there as a backup in case of an issue (like it or not, the Arc is still a first gen card, so it's definitely still got some, uh, teething issues), but overall, I'm very pleased with the performance. And the whole thing cost me $750, including tax. Edit: I also bought everything new at Micro Center, so $750 for all new is pretty impressive for the power.
PCIE 3.0 SSD's don't need heatsink. I'm running a similar setup, R5 5600 + A750 on an Asus prime B350M-A, and tweaked my 32GB of RAM to 3800C18 and it works very well. The A750 don't need PCIE 4.0 like the Navi 23, 33 & AD107,106 does, because it uses all 16 lanes.
I am certain they will. But they have much more wood to chop with driver improvements before adding brand new features. Until that time, AMD's AFMF works on ARC.

If I could have one request for your Cyberpunk benchmarks: please go into Dogtown if you have the expansion because it’s the heaviest area in the entirety of CP2077. The rest of the game and the benchmark aren’t a good way to tell what the game will run like anymore

Hey i loved the video and I had a curious question. Do you think there is any benefit using a AMD CPU over a Intel CPU? Cause I looked up and found that the i5-12400F is a intel equivalent to the R5 5600 and i was wondering if there was any kind of boost have 2 intel paired vs a amd and intel part.
A Corsair at 750w is going be double the cost of what the one used in the video is. Personally, I'd have gone with a 500w-550w 80+bronze model from EVGA or MSI which are in the same price range as the one in the video. Both would be a better option. For the components used in the build. 500w-550w is fine. It will limit upgradeability in the future, though.
If I'm looking to get a PC for games like cyberpunk or fallout series and such to run with mods I'm okay with 1080 60 fps would this kind of budget build be good for that or should I set my sights higher

The Arc A750 is a really great videocard....for people who don't have to pay their own energy-bills. This card uses at least $100/year MORE in electricity than AMD- or nVidia-based cards.
He means that ETA has become more of a showroom than a reviewer with standards. Meaning, ETA just takes anything and gives it a glowing review with barely any criticism to discuss the products downsides thus making him look like he has no integrity. Like using the word "powerful" in almost every video.

The motherboard and PSU are both garbage. That PSU is known to be trouble. If going with a ThermalTake PSU you want a Toughpower. You can get a much better EVGA or MSI PSU for around the same price that will at least be rated 80+ Bronze. That ThermalTake isn't even that. It's only 80+. As to the motherboard, you can get a much better Asrock, Gigabyte, or MSI for around the same price or maybe a slight bit more on Newegg that will have better heatsinks for the VRM power stages, better rear I/O, and possibly a front USB-C header. For example, I bought my Asrock B550M PG Riptide at Newegg for less than the price of the ASUS Prime shown and it has better heatsinks, rear I/O, and front USB-C. No one should be building this system with the PSU and motherboard shown! There are better parts options in that price range.

I was also hardly ranting. I posted criticism of what parts were used. Some people would see that as a constructive act. If I would have been on a rant, I would have attacked the claim that the ARC 750 is a 1440p video card and had every sentence contain profanity. You will notice I did neither of those things. As for the "proof" you require, how would my posting a video of a gaming rig's FPS performance do that? I could easliy point to my over 20 years of experience building and repairing PCs as a qualification but I doubt that would satisfy you, either.

They can! would google benchmarks of your favorite emulated titles but I can confirm that arc cards can emulate.

i would unscrew the fan from the cooler and turn it 90°. screw it down and the AMD Logo is not on the side anymore. looks way better, i always do that

Intel is killing it with these GPUs the performance to price ratio is great, especially when considering how cool and efficient they run.

Just to clarify the link for the motherboard says Asus b550 but it is in fact b550M, this is a micro ATX build

I/O you can just Google yourself and you'll soon see if he's right. One thing you need to understand with these micro ATX mobos is sometimes they lack really basic crap like Bluetooth or WiFi onboard - or even an easy way to upgrade if they don't.
@@sinizin Again, you show an inability to read or understand how RUclips works. I told you exactly what website to look at. I also can't exactly post a link that may have an item for sale as RUclips tends to frown on that. I have had comments deleted by RUclips's algorithm for doing just that. I even gave an example of a motherboard that would be a better option and where to find it as well. All it would take on your part is a simple search of said website to find it. I was also hardly ranting. I posted criticism of what parts were used. Some people would see that as a constructive act. If I would have been on a rant, I would have attacked the claim that the ARC 750 is a 1440p video card and had every sentence contain profanity. You will notice I did neither of those things. As for the "proof" you require, how would my posting a video of a gaming rig's FPS performance do that? I could easliy point to my over 20 years of experience building and repairing PCs as a qualification but I doubt that would satisfy you, either.
