- One of my favorite street food stalls in Hong Kong: great location in Mongkok, friendly people, cheap and tasty street food: spicy and non-spicy fish balls, beef intestines soup, dim sum shamai, fried squid, deep-fried pig’s intestine, fried tofu, fried sausages and veggies -

Are the foods in HK still good and affordable? I haven't been in HK in 10 years. Some of my friends who just came back said the food in HK aren't as good as before and not cheap.
se7en Zee for me (indonesian) it's really expensive. it's $6-$8 for a breakfast (noodle)

Someone tell me if the intestines or tripe actually taste of anything? Or is it the texture and a vehicle for the sauces? Aden snip snip very funny, well done.
La Barone if they’ve been simmering that long in that broth it will mostly carry the sauces. But most innards have a “fatty” taste to it . So it’s a combination of a fatty taste and the broth.

I know the Hong Kong people love there street food, but unless I know what I’m eating I won’t buy it, I will have too ask my friend what their selling, next time I visit....I’m missing Hong Kong and my friends, hopefully I’ll be able to visit for the moon festival next year.

WHY! Don't touch money and then the food you are cooking! Who am I kidding! I'd eat that stuff up in a heart beat!
Im a picky eater and wouldn't eat any of this, but what alarms me the most is just how dirty the pots/utensils and friers are. Clearly a lot of this stuff hasn't been cleaned in months of use, rather than daily at the very least. Food poisoning just waiting at every stall it would appear.
I thank the 'Heavens above' that I don't live in Your world !!...... but have a nice day though.
