Hi Eric I will agree with the users below - this was an excellent and simple presentation about system architecture concept. it is fascinating that "a company" e.g. a customer - often is not aware of its own systems and how they interact together. I was always fascinated by the fact that in some cases, companies do not have a single piece of documentation on how a system, that they own, works, not even a simple manual for new-hires to get into the gist of the system fast, so to speak.
Dear Mr. Kimberling, Thanks for your insightful videos! They are quite useful to understand ERPs and DT. My question is how did you learn about multiple ERP systems? I am an S/4 HANA consultant in a big 4 firm. S/4 itself is so vast that I don't know how I would manage to learn about other systems such as Oracle or Dynamix. Could you tell me the approach that you took ? I want to be able to know the pros and cons of different ERP systems on a module basis.
Maybe this is too in the weeds, but would you want to create events based off of these occurrences? So that when you create a transaction in the CRM, there is also a record created that represents the salesperson getting commission in HR system?
