Even though Sly 3 is my favorite game in the series, I totally respect your opinion! I can defiantly agree that the flashback style, was not the best choice by Sucker Punch! but keep in mind that Sucker Punch developed Sly 3 in 11-12 months, compared to the 2-3 years that Sanzaru spent to develop Sly 4.
Sly 3 was the first and last consistently challenging Sly game, and I loved it for that at least. I cannot bring myself to hate any Sly game, but objectively none of them rise above 7.7 (a very solid 7.7).
Weird thing about me is that I like all the games, but that is probably because it’s Sly and I don’t really focus on the story that much. Sure there are flaws in the stories but I just don’t focus on it that much, I’m not one for critical analysis and I’m not too good at it.

I love Sly 3 but I gotta agree with you, flashbacks wasn't the best course on that one and the story is kinda hit or miss 😂
