I love mostly how the Chaos Insurgent model looks like, hell it just looks amazing. Kinda happy that they apparently reduced the polygon and other things in heavy. MIGHT increase my fps from 18 to 20.
I agree, it goes well with the lore. I really don't get the hate on either of them. Chaos looks outdated(as they are an underground militant group) and MTF looks futuristic as they would require such equipment considering the fact that they have to contain anomalies (rather than like the spec ops we have in our military)

SCPs escape once in a decade and then get stuck behind heavy-duty doors, Hostile attacks describes unarmed spies, and being on-site security means that they check IDs every morning. The Facility is mostly an office building with a very special basement. You don't walk around in combat armor and gas masks if you spend 99% of your time walking from one room full of cubicles to the next.
I disagree. In game they start with light armor for a reason, they're in entrance and aren't full geared 24/7 like you would at any other workplace. The gameplay expands on this with stuff like Light Armory being places where they gear up. And as for 'it not making sense' its a gameplay thing too + a lot of stuff in the game is outdated and due to be replaced and changed still. You don't need Heavy ballistic armor to escort unarmed inmates.

They keep the facility safe from armed threats and are to evacuate personnel until a Mobile Task Force arrives, they are the first line of defense, and much like actual defensive tactics- the first ones hit aren't the strongest point, they are there to delay for MTF, and then pull out if things get hairy or assist once the NTF arrive- at which point they can acquire better equipment then those available in the armories. They do in fact, do the job, that's why prison guards are capable. Their vest is a light vest like the in game one, and they easily can gather a better vest in the armories inside the facility like any actual guard would, they don't wear that stuff around 24/7, a lot of prison guards will not wear headgear until necessary.. like we see in game.

This design is just underwhelming at best, the least prepared you could possibly make a guard look at worst. Please at least make it LOOK like it's equipped for SCPs, even if the lore doesn't say so.

Yeah it looks something like a 5 year old might design. The guy said they aimed for a "distinct" look for the models, while the new MTF literally looks like a significantly worsened version of a Combine from Half Life. I doubt they're going to care about the criticism though. The devs will just lock themselves in their Discord echo chamber and let their Patreon supporters feed them regurgitated opinions that offer 0 criticism.
The security guard needs to look like the SCP: CB ones did, they looked like they'd kick your skull in, whereas the new one looks like he works there part time, and is struggling to pay his bills
I love that the new human models are just (for the most part) higher quality looking version of the mixer ones. Class D look so much more expressive. I still hope we get variations on the class D model.
I feel like there's not enough going on with Guard, and too much going on with MTF. that's just me though, and with the assumption that different ranks will look different at some point, I hope better care is taken into design, as Guard looks like a mallcop and MTF looks like GOC units rather than an SCP task force.
Andd what does an "scp task force" look like? Tacticool slop we've seen a billion times? I'm glad it is doing something different and makes them look genuinely like a specialized elite task force. Looks awesome. Guards fine, they are basic security meant to deal with Class-D- with better gear in the facility to acquire for worse events like Light Armory. You don't wear the heaviest gear to escort some unarmed inmates.
@@radium6962 No, I'm glad of the design, it's more so the colorful scheme matching that the Global Occult Coalition instead of MTF/NTF color aesthetics. GOC uses bright blues and whites. the foundation typically uses darker blues if any, greys, and blacks. plus now that i look at it again, it's not really that overcomplex as it initially seemed, just takes some getting used to. also, I still think that a Security guard that is the first line of defense from horrors beyond imagination should at MINIMUM have proper police grade gear instead of looking like their vest is made of cashmere instead of kevlar. but that's just me personally. because I personally would not give the guy tasked with keeping the D-class under control and hanling escaped SCPs till an MTF squad arrives should really look that Underequipped. it's a different story if it changes appearance when you grab different quality vests and such, but I doubt that's gonna be a thing... and they look like the Combine. which is fitting, but yeah they look like combine because Half life brainrot.
the d class and scientist models look gorgeous (and the modelling on all of them are real good i cant deny that) but i cant get over the security and chaos insurgency models. like other people have said security looks more like mall security than an scp facility guard and the chaos look. Very green and bland to the point where looking at it for too long overwhelms me. still excited to see them for real though (probably unhealthily excited.)

The HCZ rework... my eyes hurt... It doesn't feel like "fortified bunker" at all. The walls look like they are thinner than concrete in my house. Why would you have random huge pipes just in hallways in containment areas?! Chaos Insurgency headquarters is probably in a very similar formerly industrial building, but this feels so wrong for SCP Foundation. edit: this HCZ would fit in TF2

The new model and HCZ rework (alongside the revolver reanims) are just... so nice. It helps the game feel really fresh. Commented something similar on TheDeviousMelon's video, but, yeah. This is awesome. I just hope the nostalgia-preferring don't get miffed about it like I saw so many people when peanut's model changed.
Revolver is good, but I honestly have problems with the new HCZ. Call me crazy, but the bland concrete walls and dark pits with square catwalks makes it look MORE like containment breach- and the removal of 106's floating cube makes his chamber a crazy camping spot now, playing ring around the rosie with SCP's.
Are they really removing the platform from 106's containment? God forbid players have any spot they can hold up in that the SCPs actually have to be careful around...

Damn, on the one hand, it's certainly good that they decided to redesign the models, but personally I think some of them look strange. I have no complaints about the models of scientists and class D, they are made superbly, but the guards, MTF and Chaos insurgency look a little damp. Okay, I'll start explaining in order. 1) Security guard: let me remind you that according to the lore of the SCP universe, they are dealing with very dangerous individuals, since class D, in fact, are notorious criminals who signed their own death sentence. In particularly urgent situations, they should be among the first to stand in defense of the complex and contribute to the stable containment of anomalies. That is why, in addition to the vest, they should also have some part of the armor like a helmet, or at least a balaclava, to hide their identity. 2) MTF: the model is very cool, however, for me it seems too futuristic. I wouldn't change much about her, except for the villainous gloves and the stupidly big forehead on the mask. As in the case of the guard, a helmet would be nice here too. 3) Chaos insurgency: one of the most mundane models, but not without drawbacks. First of all, I really don't like the trench coat, which makes the soldier look like a Soviet soldier during WWII. Secondly, in fact, they are a copy of the HECU division from Half-Life, but they perform completely different tasks, therefore, on paper they should look appropriate. But in fact, the existing model looks a little damp and old. Despite certain disadvantages and personal complaints, in general, I am more than satisfied with the new models.

Not a huge fan of the Security Guard Model especially when you compare it to the MTF Model. You would never be under the impression that they work for the same organization. That might've been done on purpose though, maybe in this universe the SCP Foundation is trying to save money and have Civilians sign contracts to work at a Foundation Site, similar to how they have Death Row inmates sign contracts to become D-Class personel but instead with the Security Guards, they approached Police Officers, Security Contracters, Prison Guards etc to become low level Foundation Security

Today I woke up, went to school, and realised I’ll be going through hell for the next 10 months, so to cope I decided to be a bit of an asshole. Frankly, I don’t want the game to change this drastically; I can barely keep up with all the new SCP mechanics as it is. Also, I’d like to keep the old Heavy Containment Zone, because it’s easy to juke stupid SCPs. The game is starting to look less like SCP: Containment Breach or a proper, lore-accurate SCP Facility, and more like some sort of modernised, neo-SCP facility, which just doesn't sit right with me. I get that the devs want to make it look less like SCP: Containment Breach, but it already looks quite different from the original game. And don’t even get me started on the lack of that horror aspect we had a few years back. You couldn’t set foot in the heavy zone without feeling the paranoia that Peanut or Shy Guy might be lurking around the corner. Edit: Oh, for fucks sake, the Chaos Insurgency looks like some sort of Stalker from Chernobyl, but wearing a god damn WWI trench coat, the MTF looks like a fucking Combine soldier, and the scientist looks like an utter retard! At least the old model had a bit of a meme vibe, but it was iconic. The wonky animations and bizarre movement were what made me and so many others fall in love with the game in the first place. Now it's starting to resemble any old SCP game you’d find on fucking Roblox. What’s next? Are they going to turn 049 into some generic doctor you can find on Google?
The guard looks like he could be overwhelmed by only one class D, he doesn't look threatening at all, that's the type of guy that's supposed to escort death row inmates to the SCP chambers btw, keep that in mind. a mall security looking guy with JUST A VEST against a death row inmate that probably did some horrible stuff to be put on the facility as a class D, in a containment breach? yeah... that poor and weak guard would get destroyed.

The new skins in my opinion are well, pretty strange. Theyre a big change from the earlier ones and are clearly not lore accurate at all. I wouldnt particulary say that secruity guard is gonna with stand any bullet, even 9mm. They could use the iconic Guard look like in SCPCB, which is 1000x better. The MTF looks like CP from Half Life 2 and to be honest isnt in my real taste. CI looks like someone from DayZ or Escape from Tarkov. Overal looks like more upgrades we didnt ask for. Other than HCZ
I do gotta say, Chaos kinda looks like if your local airsoft group decided "fuck it lets go raid an scp facility!". cheap as fuck hardknuckle gloves, comtacs that barely fit under the helmet, and the shitty velcro mag pouches combined with out of date military surplus really sells that I wanna look "military" but I dont wanna break the bank look perfectly.
I do absolutely get updating the human models but I think the guards should at least get a helmet or a simple visor or something. After all they're helping keep anomalous horrors locked up, need that face protection.
Some of the faces give me uncanny valley and I do think the Guard needs a little something more. Not this crazy shit like "Give them full tactical/riot gear!" because that doesnt make sense with SLs lore, but they could atleast give the guard a better vest w/ a basic ballistic helmet with some knee and shoulder pads just to give extra protection that doesnt weigh him down. I feel like the Foundation would atleast invest in that for their guards when they have to haphazardly send a bunch of dangerous SCPs to a site not built for containing them.

no the current game looks trash, it had charm back before 12.0, but then they updated the lighting so the map is now outdated and looks weird in the more realistic lighting

i dont get the hate around the guards, they spawn in EZ, yknow, the area where there is almost ZERO threat. If you look at SCP lore though, there are subdivisions in the SD, like the Tactical Response Unit. TRU are the ones who respond to breaches, and usually are even more prepared than AMTFs.

SCPs escape once in a decade and then get stuck behind heavy-duty doors, Hostile attacks describes unarmed spies, and being on-site security means that they check IDs every morning. The Facility is mostly an office building with a very special basement. You don't walk around in combat armor and gas masks if you spend 99% of your time walking from one room full of cubicles to the next.

I disagree. In game they start with light armor for a reason, they're in entrance and aren't full geared 24/7 like you would at any other workplace. The gameplay expands on this with stuff like Light Armory being places where they gear up. And as for 'it not making sense' its a gameplay thing too + a lot of stuff in the game is outdated and due to be replaced and changed still. You don't need Heavy ballistic armor to escort unarmed inmates.

These look like pretty standard prison guards in white instead of green black or blue. They don't 'kill class-d' daily.. where are you getting that from? They just keep them in line unless you mean the whole 'killed after their term' thing, which depends on your canon and isn't fully explained in SL lore iirc. They do not contain scps, that's not their job. They keep the facility safe from armed threats and are to evacuate personnel until a Mobile Task Force arrives, they are the first line of defense, and much like actual defensive tactics- the first ones hit aren't the strongest point, they are there to delay for MTF, and then pull out if things get hairy or assist once the NTF arrive- at which point they can acquire better equipment then those available in the armories.
They do in fact, do the job, that's why prison guards are capable. Their vest is a light vest like the in game one, and they easily can gather a better vest in the armories inside the facility like any actual guard would, they don't wear that stuff around 24/7, a lot of prison guards will not wear headgear until necessary.. like we see in game.

They shouldn't be dressed like normal prison guards when they are tasked with keeping highly dangerous anomalies in check. They don't need to be juggernauts but at least give them a basic loadout for such threats. The old guard model was damn near perfect. they weren't over armored but had a basic loadout to deal with class-d and low level scps.

Not in the game… like at all… not even a tiny bit… the names are literally “Facility Guards”... even the guards in CB are more equipped than the new design, and they also “deal with d-class”...
Facility Guards are the first line of defense regardless, they should be designed to look like it. They are usually the first to encounter the SCPs if they are fast enough. This design is just underwhelming at best, the least prepared you could possibly make a guard look at worst.
They somehow made a hated class even more hated, like they LOOK USELESS now… as if they ARENT USELESS ALREADY.
Please at least make it LOOK like it's equipped for SCPs, even if the lore doesn't say so.

Yeah it looks something like a 5 year old might design. The guy said they aimed for a "distinct" look for the models, while the new MTF literally looks like a significantly worsened version of a Combine from Half Life. I doubt they're going to care about the criticism though. The devs will just lock themselves in their Discord echo chamber and let their Patreon supporters feed them regurgitated opinions that offer 0 criticism.
Looking at the pictures we have for the new HCZ and the reworked Human models, combined it looks amazing, cinematic almost.
The security guard needs to look like the SCP: CB ones did, they looked like they'd kick your skull in, whereas the new one looks like he works there part time, and is struggling to pay his bills
I love that the new human models are just (for the most part) higher quality looking version of the mixer ones. Class D look so much more expressive. I still hope we get variations on the class D model.

I feel like there's not enough going on with Guard, and too much going on with MTF. that's just me though, and with the assumption that different ranks will look different at some point, I hope better care is taken into design, as Guard looks like a mallcop and MTF looks like GOC units rather than an SCP task force.
Andd what does an "scp task force" look like? Tacticool slop we've seen a billion times? I'm glad it is doing something different and makes them look genuinely like a specialized elite task force. Looks awesome. Guards fine, they are basic security meant to deal with Class-D- with better gear in the facility to acquire for worse events like Light Armory. You don't wear the heaviest gear to escort some unarmed inmates.

GOC uses bright blues and whites.
the foundation typically uses darker blues if any, greys, and blacks. plus now that i look at it again, it's not really that overcomplex as it initially seemed, just takes some getting used to.
also, I still think that a Security guard that is the first line of defense from horrors beyond imagination should at MINIMUM have proper police grade gear instead of looking like their vest is made of cashmere instead of kevlar.
but that's just me personally. because I personally would not give the guy tasked with keeping the D-class under control and hanling escaped SCPs till an MTF squad arrives should really look that Underequipped.
it's a different story if it changes appearance when you grab different quality vests and such, but I doubt that's gonna be a thing...

the d class and scientist models look gorgeous (and the modelling on all of them are real good i cant deny that) but i cant get over the security and chaos insurgency models. like other people have said security looks more like mall security than an scp facility guard and the chaos look. Very green and bland to the point where looking at it for too long overwhelms me. still excited to see them for real though (probably unhealthily excited.)

The HCZ rework... my eyes hurt... It doesn't feel like "fortified bunker" at all. The walls look like they are thinner than concrete in my house. Why would you have random huge pipes just in hallways in containment areas?! Chaos Insurgency headquarters is probably in a very similar formerly industrial building, but this feels so wrong for SCP Foundation.

The new model and HCZ rework (alongside the revolver reanims) are just... so nice. It helps the game feel really fresh. Commented something similar on TheDeviousMelon's video, but, yeah. This is awesome. I just hope the nostalgia-preferring don't get miffed about it like I saw so many people when peanut's model changed.

Revolver is good, but I honestly have problems with the new HCZ. Call me crazy, but the bland concrete walls and dark pits with square catwalks makes it look MORE like containment breach- and the removal of 106's floating cube makes his chamber a crazy camping spot now, playing ring around the rosie with SCP's.
My hope is that Larry's room is still in the works, and that they haven't gotten around to making his box yet.

Damn, on the one hand, it's certainly good that they decided to redesign the models, but personally I think some of them look strange. I have no complaints about the models of scientists and class D, they are made superbly, but the guards, MTF and Chaos insurgency look a little damp.
Okay, I'll start explaining in order.
1) Security guard: let me remind you that according to the lore of the SCP universe, they are dealing with very dangerous individuals, since class D, in fact, are notorious criminals who signed their own death sentence. In particularly urgent situations, they should be among the first to stand in defense of the complex and contribute to the stable containment of anomalies. That is why, in addition to the vest, they should also have some part of the armor like a helmet, or at least a balaclava, to hide their identity.
2) MTF: the model is very cool, however, for me it seems too futuristic. I wouldn't change much about her, except for the villainous gloves and the stupidly big forehead on the mask. As in the case of the guard, a helmet would be nice here too.
3) Chaos insurgency: one of the most mundane models, but not without drawbacks. First of all, I really don't like the trench coat, which makes the soldier look like a Soviet soldier during WWII. Secondly, in fact, they are a copy of the HECU division from Half-Life, but they perform completely different tasks, therefore, on paper they should look appropriate. But in fact, the existing model looks a little damp and old.
Despite certain disadvantages and personal complaints, in general, I am more than satisfied with the new models.
I think theyre going with them being the more casual desk job entrance zone and checkpoint security guards with the higher level security guards being dead or otherwise [lore reason] missing. chaos agents and 079 are canonically fucking with this facility, it could be just as likely that they altered the schedule slightly to give everyone a vacation today.

Not a huge fan of the Security Guard Model especially when you compare it to the MTF Model. You would never be under the impression that they work for the same organization. That might've been done on purpose though, maybe in this universe the SCP Foundation is trying to save money and have Civilians sign contracts to work at a Foundation Site, similar to how they have Death Row inmates sign contracts to become D-Class personel but instead with the Security Guards, they approached Police Officers, Security Contracters, Prison Guards etc to become low level Foundation Security

Today I woke up, went to school, and realised I’ll be going through hell for the next 10 months, so to cope I decided to be a bit of an asshole. Frankly, I don’t want the game to change this drastically; I can barely keep up with all the new SCP mechanics as it is. Also, I’d like to keep the old Heavy Containment Zone, because it’s easy to juke stupid SCPs. The game is starting to look less like SCP: Containment Breach or a proper, lore-accurate SCP Facility, and more like some sort of modernised, neo-SCP facility, which just doesn't sit right with me. I get that the devs want to make it look less like SCP: Containment Breach, but it already looks quite different from the original game. And don’t even get me started on the lack of that horror aspect we had a few years back. You couldn’t set foot in the heavy zone without feeling the paranoia that Peanut or Shy Guy might be lurking around the corner.
Edit: Oh, for fucks sake, the Chaos Insurgency looks like some sort of Stalker from Chernobyl, but wearing a god damn WWI trench coat, the MTF looks like a fucking Combine soldier, and the scientist looks like an utter retard! At least the old model had a bit of a meme vibe, but it was iconic. The wonky animations and bizarre movement were what made me and so many others fall in love with the game in the first place. Now it's starting to resemble any old SCP game you’d find on fucking Roblox.

The new skins in my opinion are well, pretty strange. Theyre a big change from the earlier ones and are clearly not lore accurate at all.
I wouldnt particulary say that secruity guard is gonna with stand any bullet, even 9mm. They could use the iconic Guard look like in SCPCB, which is 1000x better.
The MTF looks like CP from Half Life 2 and to be honest isnt in my real taste.
CI looks like someone from DayZ or Escape from Tarkov.

I do absolutely get updating the human models but I think the guards should at least get a helmet or a simple visor or something. After all they're helping keep anomalous horrors locked up, need that face protection.

Some of the faces give me uncanny valley and I do think the Guard needs a little something more. Not this crazy shit like "Give them full tactical/riot gear!" because that doesnt make sense with SLs lore, but they could atleast give the guard a better vest w/ a basic ballistic helmet with some knee and shoulder pads just to give extra protection that doesnt weigh him down. i dont get the hate around the guards, they spawn in EZ, yknow, the area where there is almost ZERO threat. If you look at SCP lore though, there are subdivisions in the SD, like the Tactical Response Unit. TRU are the ones who respond to breaches, and usually are even more prepared than AMTFs.
