Exactly at 0:13 when Eric ends on the g note it falls to the lower octave ..... Anyone knows what the problem is? I'm having the same problem but mine being more extensive I have taken it to a repairman n he couldn't fix it He said it was a problem with the springs . Anyone have any idea?
It could be water in your octave key. Not the one on the neck but on the body. I used to use pipe cleaners to clean that out on my Selmer. I hope this helps!
Operator error. He just momentarily lost focus in his throat on the scoop. Nothing wrong with the horn. Stuff happens in live performance. He IS human ...
Hey Kenny, this is not due to anything being wrong with the sax per se. Sometimes notes 'split' up like that. It can actually be intentional. Sanborn does this a lot. If you want to get more control over that G and G sharp, I suggest doing plenty of long note practice and overtone exercises. Also, be sure that you're playing on a middle of the road setup (mouthpiece and reeds). Hope that helps!

If it was an accident, he is VERY good at covering because it sounded intentional to me.
