This is so wax on wax off, because it applies so many ways as you start doing this in different positions. And starting slow is the master's path. Respect and gratitude for solid lesson, Teacher Brown.
Thank you for the exercise. I do need to think of the notes of the major triad and the relative minors. Restricting it to the first 5 frets helps it from feeling overwelming.
I like what you did there at the end. Where you took that exercise and turned it into a funky rhythm.. I'll be sure and try this tomorrow. When I wake up as I'm heading into work. 'cause I work nights, but thanks.😊
Thank you for the lesson! So much appreciated. Just listening to you gives me a good chill mood, ngl. I wouldnt mind a bit more complex stuff for 6ers, too! But I get that most people here wont need that.
How complex?😏 Try using this method to cover all the notes of a triad on all six strings, then play the major triads in all 12 keys without going above the 5th fret.
Life changing exercise, how de we expand on it? Two new chords in the same position and key? Add just one new chord? Or Add more range to these two chords only? This is amazing, I can actually feel my brain growing
How do we expand on it? Well, we have the one chord and the six chord here. Now add the four chord (Cmaj7), and the five chord (D7). Find all the notes of those two triads and play this 4-chord progression in the same way. That's a 1-6-4-5 (I-VI-IV-V) chord progression. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for watching, and have fun with this stuff.

You are therapy
You're too kind.😊 Thank you very much.
Rich Brown, you are in Canada?! For some reason I thought you were in LA. I was gonna see if you were taking any students.
Yes, I live in Toronto. Not taking on private students at this time, but thank you for asking.
Hello, still on RUclips?
