Today we're unboxing some of the Troy Books hardback books. These are some of my favourite kinds of books to collect and I wanted to share some of them with you in a video. While this version of the hardbacks is no longer in print, the paperbacks are available on the Troy Book website and their Special Editions and new version of Hardbacks are still available.

“I’m not buying anymore books.” Yeah me too. 😂
Do not calm down! I love your reactions. I’m the same with books!
I also hate dust covers
Hearth, from one witchy bookworm to another, your enthusiasm for books is warranted and wonderful. Never loose it.
thank you for sharing your book haul with us.
Irrespective of what genre we like as readers, there's one thing we all share - the tendency to break our promise of not buying more books until our TBRs are completed. 😂 Happy Reading! Incredible books!
I take the dust jackets off right away!..and I have the same obsession...my dad is always telling people that my house is gonna sink into the earth due to all the books ,rocks, and crystals I have absolutely everywhere..my bedroom walls are litterly book shelves and they are full some shelves are double rowed cuz I've just ran out of shelf space! Lol I love your videos you are the only youtube witch I will watch!..I was raised pagan and was taught witchcraft by my grandmother and your advice and teachings resemble hers so much and your just a very smart practitioner and I feel most if not all of our beliefs are alike..thank you for keeping it real yours truly...Willow Stone
you do not need to dull your joy for the video, it is lovely to see 💚
This could be subtitled: In Which Hearth Squeals With Delight So Many Times We Lose Count All While Grinning Madly Along With Her. 😂📚🤣🥰🥰
Such a fun video Hearth!
It's always good to see Hearth so happy
Anything that gives you so much joy is a great thing!
You've got a good excuse to keep buying book: We love to watching you geek about them. So go girl, buy all the books, it's for your work 💁♀
I also cannot stand the book jackets!!
Nobody ever agrees with me haha. I feel so validated 😂♥️
Hearth, you are going to have to get rid of your couch and do your videos sitting on bookcases instead. 😊 You were definitely making kid at Christmas sounds throughout the video.😄 Loved it.
I always take the dust jacket off and stash it somewhere so it doesn't get torn or bent
You're not alone, I also love these editions and am obsessed with books. ❤
Love from South Africa. I love you so much Hearth, I've been following you since 2021. You have taught me a lot about witchcraft and you have made me more confident in my craft. 💜❤️
It's great to watch a video filled with enthusiasm, so many are negative right now. I agree, I hate the dust jackets too, I always take them off.
It has the same energy as Link finding an item in Zelda. That was so sweet to watch
Is it fair to admit I love watching you because you're so beautiful and charismatic? I've learned so much from you. Your channel has helped me break away from the old, stuffy, traditional religion I didn't believe anyway. Your videos are so refreshing, it's magical. I really believe you send your magic right through the internet to your viewers. Well, I can feel it. Thanks for sharing the books! This was brilliant.
Your videos about witchcraft books are my absolute favorite videos!!! ❤❤❤ Please keep filming them!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I loathe dust covers. It's not just you!💗💗💗😊
Your enthusiasm for your book haul is delightful and I totally understand.
This really is a haul! The best witchy unboxing video ever. ❤ your rapture over all the deluxe Troy books. It's contagious. Maybe there's another video reorganizing your bookshelves?
Whatever you do, Hearth, do NOT calm down. Watching your enthusiasm opening these packages was so incredibly delightful! P.S. Your pronunciation of "psalter" is correct!
Your joy came though today. I am a little jealous of your haul though. I am having a hard time and watching you was so uplifting today. Thank you!
I hope you're feeling better. Love and light to you.🌈🦋🙏🏻
@@glitterandducttape thank you so much. I’m feeling better.
Those books are gorgeous! I’m with you. I don’t care for dust jackets. When I do read a hardback book I immediately take it off.
I don't have many witchy books but boy do I ever have a lot of non-fiction in general! I totally understand your excitement. Don't stop being you, Hearth!
I concur regarding dust jackets on books! I feel like they were an idea made by manufacturers who don't really spend time doing actual reading. They are good for absolutely nothing, unless they have a great picture on them ... maybe for a Mod Podge craft... but pretty much a waste of paper as well. PS Hearth ... I am 53 years old and I have always and to this day go nuts over new and special books. Being too excited about books is just a possible perspective based on the possible opinions of others. When I get together with my adult daughter we go book shopping and we both get very expressive about new finds or replacements for books that we've lost. Sometimes people stare but we just smile and laugh. You are not alone in your expressive love for books. Blessed Be. ✨🕯️🌙🪐😺🐈⬛🧙🏻♀️🔥⚡❤️🔥✨PPS: You pronounced Psalter correctly, like 'salter. Lastly, I've looked into the Psalms' history a bit and some occult researchers are certain that particular Psalms may actually have a connection to Egyptian magic that carried over into Israel. So it goes back much further than just adaptations due to the advent of Catholicism in order to escape persecution. I'm doing an informal study of the hidden occult meanings that are actually within the Psalms and it is amazing.
Your glee and giddiness over the books cheered me up SO much. They're beautiful!! Enjoy!! ❤
I always take the dust covers off, I hate it when the edges get all crinkly 😂😂😂
They are absolutely beautiful books! You can never have too many books! 📚
Books! Yes! I have over 1,000 now and have lost count, but still buying more. I've used up all the space for bookshelves and have 8 crates on their side stuffed full of books and they're wedged in corners, inbetween the french windows and other furniture, and I also have quite large piles on the kitchen table, on top of the fridge and strategically placed on the living room floor, in the hall and on the hall table. I might have to move out soon to give them more room, lol. And yes, I really hate dust jackets too; they're so uncomfortable to hold, make the books slide all over the place and totally in the way. Great book haul, Hearth. They are so beautiful. As an earth pagan, I'm really into earth mysteries, genius loci, reading about the dragon project, etc, along with courses on archaeology and ancient history, so the one I'd really like is the Etruscan one. Cheers from Devon and thanks for all you do. :)
I went into the Troy Books website. Not to buy books but just to look. I came out after ordering three, lol. I'm really excited as there's one about Devon witchcraft by Gemma Garry, one about the Black Dog and a book about wassailing. I can't wait! :)
I love that you're a book lover as well. I'm getting a kick out of how excited you are I'm all happy for you. I'm lucky if I get to go to my local bookstore called second time around books once a month. I can't stand book covers either but I do know if it's a older or more popular book with a decent cover on it it worth more to most collectors. Blessings to you my friend 🧙🏽♀️📖📚
I get all my best witchcraft book recommendations from you! And I’m such a sucker for a beautiful book. I love these videos!
your joyous reactions are contagiously wholesome. not to mention, your taste in books is unceasingly exquisite, as always. ☆*♡
I do get books with jackets but I do love books with the artwork directly on the cover. Jackets are just another thing to keep track of, I usually take them off while I’m reading the book then put it back on when I’m finished.
Hearth, I love and look forward to whenever you share your book hauls. So many interesting books you find and I will add them to my list of books I will keep an eye out for.
Keep being the wonderful person you are ❤️
I have a Troy book paperback coming Traditional witchcraft a Cornish book of ways. So excited as my Ancestors come from that way.
I love your book haul videos! I end up buying so many of them!
I am also a book collector. Most of my hardcovers do have dust jackets and that doesn't bother me at all. The jackets often have beautiful artwork and almost always provide interesting information about the author. Also, if the book comes with a dust jacket, the actual cover will usually be dull and boring because the publisher figures nobody will ever see it. (Unlike your books here, which have beautiful covers precisely because they do not have jackets!) So overall, I guess I would be on Team Dust Jacket. 😊
I remember being almost that excited when I purchased books. All mine are gone now 😔. Stupidity of peer pressure when I was "saved" in 2011. Regrets abound. I love your enthusiasm and am envious.
Your enthusiasm is simply magical and every time I watch your videos I am one big awkward smile and I end up thinking "so happy I am not being filmed right now" 😂
Your facial expressions of excitement are giving me life! 😂
Many well wishes from New Mexico, USA. Love your videos🖤♥️🖤
Haha!! I've done this from Troy Books myself! They had to send me about 4 boxes at the time! 😂 So worth it!
Side note: My god, your makeup is beautiful in this video! 😍
Edit: The hardback Devil's Dozen is thicker because its the revised edition with an extra chapter added.
I agree with you I do not like dust covers.
Love your excitement.
I just enjoy you being happy with books ❤ ❤❤😊😊😊thank you made my night 😊
10:14 I _love_ your energy.
Ive been itching for you to do another book haul , your recommendations are my favourite , Ive bought a few of your beginner recommendations , great vid ❤
I just love your enthusiasm for witchy books! You've got me wanting to expand my library! 🤓💜📚
Your love for books makes me happy. You're so sweet in this video! ❤
100% agree on dust covers. I cannot abide them.
Your new books are absolutely beautiful! I love them! As a fellow book worm, I relate to your joy and geekiness over them. Books can take us anywhere. And yes, you are pronouncing Psalter the correct way. 😊
Really Love that dark rich green colour of your nails. 🐾🦇
Just watching you happily unpacking these boxes is worth watching this video😂
I just ordered a few Troy books! So beautiful.
I agree about the dust covers. I prefer the traditional covers with the copper foil. 🤩
Hearth I love your videos and I especially look forward to your book videos but I have to say watching this video and the expression on your face. The pure excitement and joy. Are priceless.i bet the best part of the holidays for your family has to be watching your expressions.❤❤❤❤
Huzzah for those of us with the “book problem” gene. 😘 Also, you are normally so composed and thoughtful in your choice of words that it was wildly delightful to share in your excitement during this unboxing. ✨ Also, dust jackets go straight in the bin. I loathe them.
I love this so much. This has "this is my guilty pleasure hoard" energy!
I love your enthusiasm so much in this video! It made me happy even though I'm halfway around the world! 😊
I definitely share your love of books! I currently have over 200 in my witchcraft collection and many more on my wishlist!
Your videos always brighten my day! 😊
Loved this video! I'm a bookworm too! I also find dust jackets horrible! Although cheaper, they just plain stink. I often remove them to read the book and then find them 6 months later totally destroyed! Love the foiling. They should have stuck with that. Witches everywhere should protest!! I love the historical and folklore aspects of books that I buy. Thanks for turning me on to this publisher!!
I am a cataloguer and classifier in a university library and we always remove the dust jackets from books partly because of the reasons you said but mainly because it would be pointless putting a call number label on the dust jacket when it will be taken off or lost. Even at home I remove dust jackets from my books as I think the plain covers look nicer on my bookshelves
I hate dust jackets too 😂. Those foil books are beyond gorgeous 🎉
📚✨Christmas in May? Hooray!✌🏽🥳🍬
Such pretty gifts 🎁 Enjoy❕
Thanks so much for sharing the beauty 🎄
Love this video! So happy I am not the only one to get over excited opening my book deliveries. I also agree, dust jackets are awful!!
I like hard back no dust jacket but in the States I have trouble finding books with out a jacket cover. Paperback most times for me. I would strangely say the blue one as one of my favorite colors is blue. Thank you for the video! It was wonderful to watch.
Watching you open these was so fun! I love how excited you were. I wish I could afford beautiful books like these. In the US, most of our pretty books have dust jackets. I like them for display, but have to take them off when I read them.
I've been a subscriber for quite a while now, but this might very well be my favorite Hearth video ever! 🙂
Trying to control my envy, converting it into happiness for you! Enjoy your new good fortune! Blessings and solidarity!
Here I am getting super excited right along with you!!!!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing 🖤 and completely agree about dust jackets, they're so unnecessary and cumbersome
Oh I'm so happy you got thr standard hardbacks and some special editions! I was bummed because the ones I wanted sold out instantly 😂 I agree with dust jackets and was sad they're getting rid of the foil in favor of the dustjackets.
I am a book lover too and your excitement is totally warranted 😁 I cant wait to see what you think of these lovelies as you read through them.
Hearth, you sound like me when just browwing Llewellyn’s website. I’ve been trying so hard to hold myself back from buying more books so I could be a bit more financially stable. 😂 So glad I can live vicariously through you. Dust covers are horrendous
Val Thomas's books are amazing! Of chalk and flint is excellent and I loved bounded in a nutshell. I'm saving Hallowtide for Halloween 👻
Love your book videos! More of these!!! ❤❤❤ 📚🐛
Congratulations on getting a good deal
Oh man no dust covers and it’s textured I love it already
Dust covers are important to protect the cover from wear and tear over the long term. You can make your own to cover the whole book. The important thing is what is inside, not the nice artwork.
I love this! So glad I'm not the only one that has this obsession 😊
Hi Hearth, after watching this video several times I had to go to the Troy Books page and buy the book: Traditional Witchcraft - A Cornish Book of Ways, I'm glad they ship to Europe, I'm so excited, I guess it won't be the only purchase I will make on their page 😊
Im enjoying to see how happy you are!!!!! 💜
I also hate book jackets, the exception being when the book itself is hideous, but the cover is pretty! I tape the edges together so the covers stay on for those books, and I toss out the rest.
So jealous. I found out about them discontinuing those too late. Hopefully whatever format they republish them in is nice looking without the dust covers.
Oh hearth, I've not seen you for ages.... I love old history books too, your awesome I love your you tube too hearth witch, respect ❤️
A good haul is always entertaining
Thanks for creating another joyful video. 🙂 I have learned so many lovely things from you. Also, by the way, 🖤 your shirt looks epic cool.🖤 “Have a gentle heart and peaceful mind.”
Blessed be Lady Hearth. How goes your day, Your Grace? Love and light to you always. Many blessings and merry meet. ✌️🧙♀️
I hate dust jackets too 😃plus, a little dust adds character 😆
This was delightful! Thank you, thank you for sharing your enthusiasm.
I bought the book of traditional witchcraft, a cornish book of ways during your spectacular video! Love you in the US ...wish i could shop !!❤🎉🎉
I love you and your glee for books. I had similar squeals on mothersday when many books on my booklist were gifted to me.the problem is I want to read them all at once! "Weyward" looks like a fabulous fiction trip. Anyone read this one yet? Thanks for your new book tour!!
So jealous of so many gorgeous books. It's not easy finding books on witchcraft here in Denmark unless you go online. I totally agree with you on dust jackets. A shame Troy books have decided to go that route
Love book hauls and foil books!
From Brazil, thank you so much for your videos! ❤ I learned a lot from them
Love your content 🖤
Lol how much you enjoy this experience is more so much fun
I also hate dust covers, pointless trash wrappings is all they are
I hate dust jackets too! The last 2 look very interesting to me
On the First two books:
Devils Dozen sounds like an expansion of the end of New World Witchcraft, and covers the ground about Pacting ie DnD Warlocks, and Hekate as The Devil in a Red Dress.
As the Psalter, when I worked at Reverand Zombies we sold a lot of Magical Uses of The Psalms. And a fair number of Witches are still Catholic, and Psalm Magick is Awesome 😮
I love books too!
I hate dust covers. Sure they “protect the book” I guess…but at the expense of being fragile and annoying themselves. I have been known to throw them away hahaha. But you could also look into library binding them. A local library may be willing to do it for you, but you can DIY it. Basically it’s an extra plastic cover that gets adhered and keeps the dust jacket itself protected and attached to the book. Is it annoying to have to create a solution for a problem that didn’t need to be a problem? Yeah. But it is an option!
