Dude, all I can say is Hoolie freakhoolies man, the only thing we are missing is being there. I can almost smell the fish and the salt air! What a killer trip, you guys spoil us every time. LOVE THE CHANNEL JOHNNY & CHRIS !!!OVE IT.
Im a newbie and a weekend angler.. First time jigging and Got my first 13kg Grouper and Rusty Jobfish by watching your vids.. Slow pitch jigging.. Yeah.. Thanks man!!.. Fan from the Philippines. 🇵🇭💪💪
Great video, awesome trip! Congrats on the Mystic, and a stud Snowey! Outstanding stuff Johnny. Wish list trip for me, ‘one of these days’! Jig on! ❤️🎣
Looks like a great trip, wish I could have made it! Just did a run in Jamaica and slayed some grouper with that new Temple Reef rod I copped from the store. Looking forward to coming by next time I'm in Pompano!
I am curious on the reels that do you do use when you slow pitch jig. Say if you fish 100 to 300 ft to use the same reel depending on the jig if you fish 300 to 500 ft do you use the same real that you used on 100 to 300 I'm just curious because I have your jigs and I'm just wondering what reels and where to buy these reels at.
Hey Donald, You can use the same reel from 100-500'. It is all about line capacity. We do have a video on reel selection. I would highly recommend watching it before making a purchase. As for line selection, we look for the thinnest line with the highest breaking strength. The color is not important, and the multi color line you have seen us using in the video is metered for knowing depth as we drop our jigs. Please feel free to call the shop before making a purchase. We will be happy to spend the time with you in order make sure you get the best set up for your fishery......Johnny
@@JohnnyJigsTV all the time!!! I came out this year in May and got blown out! Stopped by the shop picked up a couple hooks and jigs for the San Diego tuna scene. I really want to do either the patriot, or the yankee capt trip one of these days. But I just booked a 6 day to cedros island off of Baja for 2023 that will be my big trip for the year so maybe 2024, as you know the cost of travel and luggage is not cheap right now!
@@JohnnyJigsTV you mentioned (in another video) Rod rash. If your rods have some light rashes on their gel coat, that’s no big deal if you start using sleeves right?
@@JohnnyJigsTV I been out on headboats and my rods have some slight scarring, I just want to know if the rods will be ok I start using wraps? Is the scarring a big deal?
Another massive deep sea beast! Some very fine eating 😊

Good video, you forgot to show us the pile of fish at the end!
Next time.

Thanks Jerry 😊
Life it’s better in Bahamas 😂😂
Yes it is
So, to be safe at that depth, you need to be able to handle 700gs?
It's not a terrible idea to be geared up for the worst-case scenario. I did have 800g jigs with me just in case
@@JohnnyJigsTV you mentioned (in another video) Rod rash. If your rods have some light rashes on their gel coat, that’s no big deal if you start using sleeves right?
Yes, Sometimes I use a jig wrap to pad my ribs but, that is primarily on head boats.

When jigging queens are they always off the bottom some? When we have caught them on bait we are always on the bottom.
your videos is amazing. I really like it. Can i talk with you?
Thank you. Yes, you can call the shop at 954-889-4915
