Love this!! This song is actually dedicated to ARMY (wouldn’t be JK’s album without a love letter to us 😁💜)! DJ Snake said that the message is for ARMY and you can definitely see that in the lyrics. He’s telling us that no matter the situation with him being gone at the moment, he’ll stay the same person we know and love! Likewise, he’s telling us not to change as well! 💜💜🥹
God, reading this after reading about the huge fight yesterday on X, breaks my heart, I hope he is so busy and/or tired that he doesn’t know about it or have the energy to worry about it.

@@alex__andrei I think you are referring to the Jhope feat JK song. Everyone is only talking about JK. They could have also supported that song, Forbes even said it is on track to enter the BB top 10. It's a shame that they are focusing on silly things and not on the main thing. Whether they like it or not, having a collaboration with Jungkook could have helped him open up the market more and benefit both Jhope and the BTS name.
Weird I didn’t see any fights on twt abt Jhope and Jungkook (probably mostly solo arguing with each other or heavily biased ppl). Besides HOTS did very well for an OST album, could ARMY have done better, probably, but we have done amazing results still.
Some of the other members have released full eng songs like JK, but JK is the only one who has a full English album that was promoted, he also collaborated with Central Cee who is a UK rapper, and Seven is considered “UK garage” which is a genre very popular in the UK, and on top of all of that he was the only who chose to perform live in the UK. His promotions are the closest to western mainstream pop stars which is why his amazing eng songs get radio play to some extant. Each member decided to do something different bc their genres are different and their target audiences are different. V for example was the only member to promote his album in Japan. RM chose to only do 3 long format deep interviews abt his album and no big live performances just one in a very small venue in Seoul for armys and one in an empty museum. Suga was the only one who had a tour. J-Hope was the only one to participate/headline a music festival, etc…
Suga made it clear in Suchwita when he asked how JK (I think it was JK) was going to promote. (I think he asked V that, too). I honestly can’t remember who he asked for sure. I just remember he asked and I started thinking about all the biased fans who think their fave is mistreated. NO… I believe the guys are in control of their careers. Of course, they have help and people making suggestions, but it was pretty clear that they make these decisions. Just look at the difference in Suga and J-Hope compared to the others. It’s not that Suga “got” to do a world concert tour and the others were held back from doing that, or that he has a full documentary or show coming to cinemas while the others don’t … or that J-Hope also has a full documentary in a major tv streaming platform… no, those were the creative directions those two members chose… and brilliant directions, I might add. My point is they all chose different ways to promote and show their music to their targeted audiences. People should relax, trust BTS and enjoy the ride. Instead a lot are making themselves sick by concentrating on things they are only guessing about and have no control over. It’s futile.

0:50 Yes, RM gave him the nickname. The name of his album, 'Golden' was influenced by this nickname and also his Mother. She had a dream of golden rain when she was pregnant with jungkook. His mother and Namjoon have both attended this concert as well. There was a very wholesome interaction between Namjoon and Jk. Namjoon was praising and teasing him from the audience lol

In JK's last live concert, there were many crying Army, including me. Haha!We feel mixed emotions, we will cry, laugh, smile and be thrilled. There was a part that Army is very happy because Namjoon was there watching and was very proud of their youngest. 😊
Lory you have to watch this whole concert it was one of the last things he did for Golden Promotions and it was just him and ARmYs loving each other..I cried a lot during this. Of course right after we got the notification of the enlistment and looking back you can see that he was very emotional as this was his see you later to us 💜

2:10 JK is the Pop Star. His music is more pop (aka mainstream for radio) than the other members & all his songs are in English. Imo the top reasons he's more available to the western music market. He has been interviewed saying that he wants to be able to take the pop global music scene (paraphrasing), which makes sense by his music/song choices & promotional schedule😉

Jungkook has the appeal of a Western popstar. He always wanted to reach a broader audience. All the members addressed a different kind of audience with their solo music. Jundkook wanted to address the world :P He once said that he is easily able to switch between kpop and pop and is eager to try different styles of music, maybe even classical or musicals. I'm still waiting on some rock ;) And if I can give a recommendation, you should definitely listen to "My Time", which is one of his most personal songs. And if you dare you can watch the whole live version from the ON:E concert (incl. dance break) :D
He was already popular in us uk and other parts before solo debut but his voice, song of choices is the reason of popularity.. he always wanted to do this type of songs.....

I loved Standing Next to You, but Please Don't Change is THE track for me. I love this song soooo much, it's such a comfort. This feeling of unconditional love, and even though it's a dance beat there's a gentleness to it for me that feels like a lullabye. And this dance is just perfect!. My next fav off of Golden is Closer to You.

His songs are popular in UK maybe cuz he is extremely popular there and everywhere to be honest, like people just vibe to his music more and whatever he does always get massive attention from fans and even non fans ! And he totally deserve it as he is extremely talented and kind!
I think JK did some of the promo's in the UK...so that's maybe why he is heard more over there than some of the other members.... I like to think that between the 7 of them they have the globe covered !

The social media presence might be because he also has a lot of fan pages on every media, whenever any kind of mv is dropped you'll see a lot of JK memes for the mv. He also has the most mentioned celebrity hashtag on tiktok, youtube and insta (Even more than Messi and Ronaldo). Even the choreo of this song went viral to some extent!
Yes!! your husband would love this album, it's targeted towards global public, for those who don't even know of bts! Even though a lot of us still love his korean songs but I'm glad he set this challenge for himself and was very successful.
His songs often used to go viral even before this album. Last year there was a trend of aesthetic reels with Euphoria audio, some of those reels had 50m+, 60m+ and even 100m+ views! Still with you also blew up as soon as it came out! Dreamers and Left&Right were one of the most used audio on tiktok in 2022 as well

As others have said, the chats Jungkook has with ARMY during this concert are so sweet and endearing. It was during this concert when he told us he doesn't like being called cute, while simultaneously being the cutest human on the planet. On stage he can be sultry, sexy, fierce and perform with such aggression, but usually when he's off stage, he's soft, gentle and cute down to his very core. And all of it is genuinely him. 💜

One of the reasons that JK's songs made it to radio (and social media) is possibly because his solo work was in English. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. He would've been just as successful, had he released in Korean, but I think he wanted his solo project to have "global pop star" appeal, so leaned into this. Must've been difficult....fully singing in English. He also promoted primarily in the US and UK (in addition to Korea).
JK is also one of the members who listens to "global pop music" the most. So he has an ear for what makes songs pop and songs that have potential for virality. That is not to say that the rest of the members don't do pop music, but for their solo projects they took a more personal route, while JK decided to "trust others". So unlike the other solo projects, he doesn't have any songwriting credits for GOLDEN.
Nevertheless, every bit of success that GOLDEN saw was well-deserved. I love that every member gave us such a polished but perfectly distinct sound.
J-Hope, with his heavy rock/metal sound, and the urban hip-hop sound of HOTS.
Namjoon, with the poetic and introspective archive of his 20's.
Jimin, with his angsty-pop sound
Yoongi, with his profound social and personal commentary rap
Tae, with his lofi, feel-good calming vibe

Can't wait to see what Jin has in store for us. Because if The Astronaut and his solo songs of BTS albums are anything to go by.... we are in for a treat!
JK decided to "trust others" ?? I'm sorry but what do you mean by that ? Even though he has no writing credits , we know how much care he put into choosing the songs and how important it is to him . V also has no writing credits and it's completely okay. I'm sorry I don't want to fight but I hate when army insinuate that JK's album is less personal because it's not the case . As others have mentioned, his all English music was targeted at the west. He promoted it heavily in the west. It’s easy listening pop, in the English language, so it is going to be accepted more in the western music industry, and given more air time.
The fact that he has a beautiful voice makes it easy to promote. As you know, it is much harder to get BTS’s Korean songs to chart, or be acknowledged in the West. But Butter and Dynamite did extremely well here.
So, that’s why people that are adverse to “k-pop” and foreign language songs are accepting of JK. The average listener doesn’t even know he’s part of the Korean Band BTS.
I had no idea who the songs were by, to be honest. But I did hear them. Butter at the beginning I thought it was One Direction. 😂😂😂

4:15 my husband’s mostly listening to drum‘n bass or early german Punkrock, but he had to admit it’s good music after his first listen to jack in the box top to bottom (which was a few days after I discovered bts) And he hated that he had to admit it 😂. And since then, there was at least 1 or 2 songs on every solo album, and he likes a lot of older bts songs a lot productionwise.
On Wednesday I’ll go watch d-day movie with him, I’m excited and curious what his impression will be

Lory, JK is my bias and I am enjoying these individual weeks. But, I wanted to talk about something else. If you haven’t discovered Asian Culture and Entertainment channel, I think you would like it. She is so intelligent and doesn’t approach topics through emotions (which I would struggle with in her position). I TRUST and enjoy what she has to say about BTS, along with Boracity Magazine, more than any other channels. I know Suga is your bias and today she is doing a show solely on Suga. This is the final in a series of shows she has done about Suchwita and his interviews with the members. I just wanted to make you aware of her channel if you haven’t already found it.

To answer your question about why Jungkooo is a lot “public” so to speak is 1) he album is in English 2) jungkook promoted a lot more in the USA & UK 3) Jungkook is also the most active on TikTok 4) He became even a lot more popular after his performance at the World Cup
My theory but: 5) just the way reports, journalists, etc have been it has felt like they are trying to push for him to go solo, especially since BTS are on their “hiatus”…(just my opinion though)

I decided to look to see if I missed any reaction videos and I saw this one by Jungkook. I don't know if anybody has ever told you this. Because I didn't read the comments. But this song kind of has a double meaning it's dedicated to Army but also there was a program In The Soup where it showed a time period where V had gotten a little quiet and since Jungkook and V the two youngest members we're always so close and full of mischief they literally joked around and had so much fun that when taehyung or V got kind of quiet during that time period Jungkook was literally missing him and concerned. So he wrote this song also for V. And V even has said that this is his favorite song of Jungkooks. I think that's why because he truly reached out to taehyung and they got back to That fun place of being the true Brothers they are and dear friends that they will always be.
