Gohan and Super Buu are caught in an epic battle, but when Goku arrives to help, and throws the Potara at Gohan, the young saiyan can't catch it! But what if that all changed? What if Gohan CAUGHT the Potara earring and FUSED With Goku during the final battle of Dragon Ball Z? How will it change the events of Dragon Ball Super? Lets find out!

The rival boost seems too arbitrary to quantify. A half breed boost seems like it would be stronger honestly, especially since this fusion would have its potential unlocked.
Alongside that, if we're to assume theres a rival boost, there should be boosts involving how willing the participants are, and compatibility. And i feel like a loving familial relationship should be stronger than a rivalry. Plus official guides are meaningless imo, pokemon releases loads of them, and they often contain huge errors. Also did it ever come from akira toriyamas own words that a rival boost even exists? It's all tenuous and honestly obnoxious of a talking point

There's no official fusion name, it's just the name most of the fanbase agreed on the most. The only official name we have is for the metamoran EX fusion in "Dragon Ball Fusion" which is called Kuhan

Honestly, I see Gokan sending Buu’s candy beam back at him like evil Buu, and eating it. Vegito did not do that, but his goal was to remove the absorbed beings, Gokan was willing to destroy them and revive them.
I could see eating Buu affecting them both. Not turning them into a Majin-like 21, but gaining the abilities of Buu, like Uub. Once they split the god ki and the grand supreme Kai traits will also split. Letting Gohan keep the god ki of the grand supreme Kai, but Goku would have the knowledge, experience, and techniques of the grand supreme Kai, with some of Buu’s mixed in, I could see him keeping the healing factor once the SSJG ritual is done on Goku.
I always hated the gokuhan sh*t but it's not like they can find a better alternative. it's either goku, gohan, gokuhan, gohanku, kuhan or hanku. none of them is close to be any improvement.
even with the rivalry boost between vegeta and goku, I'm quite confident that goku times gohan is far greater than goku x vegeta + boost.
given how absurdly more powerful gohan was compared to vegeta... what kind of boost rivalry gives? vegeta barely could go against fat buu, gohan managed to fight one vs one against super buu.
let's say that gohan was 20% more powerful than vegeta. that means the rivalry boost would need to be, at least, 20% of goku times vegeta.
THAT'S A MONSTER OF A BOOST!!
other than that, I enjoyed the story and the fact that, while gohan became far more active, it didn't became a character that solves everything because I trained even more and forgot to be a father and a husband.

Personally I would have to disagree on the Vegito being stronger part in the beginning. As we know, the forms have multipliers to them, at the time of the Buu Saga, Gohan was the strongest, with Goku being second with SSJ3 and Vegeta being last.
While the Rivalry boost would make Vegito stronger, wouldn't Gokhan also get a boost. I mean, they are father and son, and as much as the Goku being a bad dad joke is popular, wouldnt that bond be stronger than the bond he would have with Vegeta?

Sorry but there is no rivalry boost for vegito. And don't start with guides that were never written or approved by akira toriyama. The old kaioshin said those are two of the strongest fighters of course they are powerful. The next he said it doesn't hurt that live to outdo each other. This sentence doesn't mean Vegito is that strong because he is further boosted because of their rivalry but because of their rivalry they got individually so strong that this fusion makes this powerful warrior.
"Official" Guides they just call themself official so you would buy it instead of others guides. There is no official guide whatsoever. Akira Toriyama never wrote something like that.
I feel like this fusion would go insane from having the memories and feelings of both Goku and Gohan, father and son, as a lot of those memories and feelings would be conflicting…

an A timws B never made any sense bacuse the power would be higher than anything in DBS so far. the best I've heard that makes some sense is the best of A plus B than multiplied by tens of times which if I'm not mistaken Wados uses for Kefla.
I have a better idea! What if Goten and Trunks used The potarra instead of fusion dance! They both could have time to train themselves in the time chamber and the resulting fusion would be more powerful than Gotenks !

I've finally found the perfect name for a Goku and Gohan fusion. His name is is Khan. He takes the K from Kakarot and the Han from Gohan. I never wanted to say this name for years because of Shao Khan from Mortal Kombat but it definitely fits better than all other names
