i love how realistic this "what if" is. in most scenarios, vegeta would just kill everyone and destroy the earth, but since he has no spaceship to escape in (also no scouter to comm the freeza force/saiyans), he is basically forced to live on earth and train cause killing goku/everyone would leave him stranded on a planet with nothing

Basically this, but it goes even further. In canon, Vegeta spent most of his life under Frieza's influence, that's how he ended up so excessively ruthless and cruel even by Saiyan standards. In this What If, he's basically been rescued from that, and while Frieza would have still had some influence on him it wouldn't have been as much as in canon, and he'd also have more time to break out of his indoctrination.

@@WrathfulSaiyan Yeah... one of the biggest issues with Dragonball is how it became the "everybody but Goku is useless" show. This was always the case to some extent but the other fighters could at least contribute. With Super having it so that everybody but Goku and Vegeta don't even bother anymore because they have no chance of keeping up with them. As someone who is working on my own fanfiction I'm trying to put the humans and everybody else to keep up without overwhelming the various threats, but it isn't easy.

Like why did goku in the original timeline not tell them from the afterlife where New namek was and they go use those balls to stop the androids on planet earth. or you know they could just have king kai use his telepathic power to ask the namekians to do it.

I only do Dragon Ball What-ifs from MasakoX and Smugstick because they are the only people whom I've found over the years to have enjoyable What-ifs related to Dragon Ball. The Amagi has great Naruto What-ifs that also make me happy. But this guy here with this one story has left me yearning for more much like my top 3. I appreciate your story and I hope for more great What-ifs on your channel.

Whatif idea, if youre taking any: Somewhat inspired by Masakox's krillin as a saiyan whatif, what if yamcha wished to be like goku? Things would go differently in the pilaf arc to allow Yamcha to steal the wiah from Pilaf last moment instead of Oolong. And instead of wishing for underwear like oolong, he wishes to "be strong like goku"
So basically, Bulma saved the world, universe, their family, their friends, and future, just by wishing for a boyfriend. Thanks to that wish, they get a happy life and ending. Insanity, it’s so good.
Bulma probably had the same expectations out of a man she thought equal to her own ego. With qualifications genetically improbable, and expectations that makes us less human. There were none to be found on the earth, albiet plenty of fish in the sea, to the point she felt the need to use a mystic dragon to make one for her.
Honestly this is how they SHOULDVE handled the human characters in real DBZ. the easiest way to get people to care about these characters is make it so theres some threats Goku is needed for and some threats he either isn’t needed for or someone else is needed for.

Decent What-If but you're forgetting going Super Saiyan for the first time means you've broken a barrier and you get a permanent boost to your base form which would have blown Vegeta's power level even further out of proportion during the 23rd.

Dude, I randomly crossed paths with this video, read the tittle and thought it was to be a short one with some jokes. See the length, "why so long?", advanced the video like 10min and start watching it to have a general idea. Loved it. Went back to the start and started enjoying every second. Being in almost tears at certain emotional points, even. I love this "What if?" so much, as I lost interest in Dragon Ball as it became a loop of "Goku being the strongest in his life, new stronger for appears, Goku loses, Goku trains, Goku wins. Rinse and repeat." While always having Vegeta being "almost there", and all the other Z fighters being just in the background… Here Vegeta is the elite warrior that also trains, what makes him the stronger one, with Goku being the closer second, while having his canon wish to fight stronger rivals always unfulfilled thanks to Vegeta and not the new foe that appears every few years. So Goku can always have his training pal, and Vegeta be the proud leader of the group, having to keep an eye on not being surpassed by the others. Also the "background characters" are much more used and interesting, like being them the ones training with Kaito. (Also also, I really liked the "ashamed tsundere" personality he had at his younger age with Bulma, very fitting anime-wise.) One thing I missed was the Android saga, it would have been very interesting to watch it with the changes you had. With the difference in power, how things would have happened? And what about Cell? Vegeta wouldn't have been fooled by his pride, allowing Cell become stronger. And what about Krilin? Would he have lost his potential waifu because they destroyed the androis in the first place? I would love to see that saga made by you, PLEASE!

I feel like Shenron not teleporting someone is more about them knowingly denying it. Goku knows what Shenron was and thus could intentionally deny being brought somewhere else, but in this, Vegeta wouldn't even realize what was happening.
The whole thing of he cannot teleport someone if they are stronger isn’t really confirm as Shenron gave Goku a choice and not forcing him back to earth at the end of the Namek saga
Who's to say that the dragon would even take Bulma's wish to the point of bringing specially Vegeta to earth? If she wished for a boyfriend the wish could literally have just made her ideal man appear out of nothing meaning she wouldn't end up with Vegeta. The wording on her wish makes a huge difference as even if she did wish for a boyfriend there's also the chance that she might tire of whoever the dragon gives her to fill that role and break up with them for someone else later on.

Bulma probably had the same expectations out of a man she thought equal to her own ego. With qualifications genetically improbable, and expectations that makes us less human. There were none to be found on the earth, albiet plenty of fish in the sea, to the point she felt the need to use a mystic dragon to make one for her.

Honestly this is how they SHOULDVE handled the human characters in real DBZ.
the easiest way to get people to care about these characters is make it so theres some threats Goku is needed for and some threats he either isn’t needed for or someone else is needed for.
Exactly we can’t have Goku or Vegeta solve all the problems. I don’t like how they gave up the idea of Goku trying to prep the other fighters to protect the earth without him 😭

Decent What-If but you're forgetting going Super Saiyan for the first time means you've broken a barrier and you get a permanent boost to your base form which would have blown Vegeta's power level even further out of proportion during the 23rd.

If I am not wrong wasn't Vegeta's power level was always 18000 from his childhood and he never trained so he never grew ahead of it.
Nah theres talks that he was around 10K at the very young age, he may have never trained but no doubt he could've gotten into fights where he got zenkais even if they were little

It was 10l when he was a child and you literally see him training against Saibamen at that time. I don't know where the idea that he never trained came from. That was Frieza that never trained.

I love how unique you made this story instead of it being a constant cakewalk and snowball effect; like a lot of DBZ what-ifs.
I like to make the what if more story driven
Dude, I randomly crossed paths with this video, read the tittle and thought it was to be a short one with some jokes. See the length, "why so long?", advanced the video like 10min and start watching it to have a general idea. Loved it. Went back to the start and started enjoying every second.
Being in almost tears at certain emotional points, even.
I love this "What if?" so much, as I lost interest in Dragon Ball as it became a loop of "Goku being the strongest in his life, new stronger for appears, Goku loses, Goku trains, Goku wins. Rinse and repeat." While always having Vegeta being "almost there", and all the other Z fighters being just in the background…
Here Vegeta is the elite warrior that also trains, what makes him the stronger one, with Goku being the closer second, while having his canon wish to fight stronger rivals always unfulfilled thanks to Vegeta and not the new foe that appears every few years. So Goku can always have his training pal, and Vegeta be the proud leader of the group, having to keep an eye on not being surpassed by the others.
Also the "background characters" are much more used and interesting, like being them the ones training with Kaito. (Also also, I really liked the "ashamed tsundere" personality he had at his younger age with Bulma, very fitting anime-wise.)
One thing I missed was the Android saga, it would have been very interesting to watch it with the changes you had. With the difference in power, how things would have happened? And what about Cell?
Vegeta wouldn't have been fooled by his pride, allowing Cell become stronger. And what about Krilin? Would he have lost his potential waifu because they destroyed the androis in the first place?
I would love to see that saga made by you, PLEASE!

I feel like Shenron not teleporting someone is more about them knowingly denying it. Goku knows what Shenron was and thus could intentionally deny being brought somewhere else, but in this, Vegeta wouldn't even realize what was happening.
The whole thing of he cannot teleport someone if they are stronger isn’t really confirm as Shenron gave Goku a choice and not forcing him back to earth at the end of the Namek saga

Who's to say that the dragon would even take Bulma's wish to the point of bringing specially Vegeta to earth? If she wished for a boyfriend the wish could literally have just made her ideal man appear out of nothing meaning she wouldn't end up with Vegeta. The wording on her wish makes a huge difference as even if she did wish for a boyfriend there's also the chance that she might tire of whoever the dragon gives her to fill that role and break up with them for someone else later on.
Yea I just brought Vegeta thinking he would bring the person she would end up with and bringing Vegeta would be fun to have him on Earth early on
