He's making all these hits but I wonder why he doesn't perform them himself because he is every bit as good as the performers that recorded them! I wish he would come back with the hits he writes! I was a big fan of his back in the 90s!
I believe he made an album in 2006. If you aren't already aware the album it's called Down South, and he made an album along with Dallas Davidson (the title is really long. Just look up Rhett Akins: Bone Collector and it should pop up) with a great song called 'My Baby Looks Good in Camouflage.' Sadly 'Down South is not available on Spotify.
He is so awesome. He and his son Thomas have the exact same mannerisms when they sing. The move the same way, rock to the music the same, get up off the stool the same way, that is cool.
