The fact that country is now this beautiful mix breed of music proves that these artist that were once just being introduces to the "country" genre are now proving to be true musicians. Now don't misunderstand me when I say that. They have always been musicians but to me I think a musician should have no set genre. Music is music. Genre is just a word to organize songs into categories that would most fit the listeners listening style. Music is ever changing and we don't like change. But if you can take a song, slap a country tag on it, classify a sub genre into it such as pop or rock then your not only appealing to one specific style of listener but creating a new fan base of different listeners and creating something new and awesome... so why not?

That part is all good, but when people take it to the point that this artist should be ashamed of even making this song... that's too far haha You make music cuz its beautiful, soulful and to make yourself happy not to make anyone else happy. The fact that it makes someone else happy is a blessing to that artist. if theres one language in the entire world that everyone can speak no matter if your Spanish, French, German no matter your race you can understand music. I work at a casino where they play music videos all day/night long. This song comes on from time to time, last night I saw that one of the older employees was mesmerized by the music video and the song, I said to her “good song, huh?” I didn’t even know who sang it or what it was called. She asked me if I knew and I said I didn’t. So I shazamed it for her and I caught the attention of other employees and they all said thank you to me because they were wondering what the song was as well. It was a pretty wholesome moment because we all had no idea about the artist but loved the song.

I'm 53 yesrs old and have grown up with so many different music types and styles. I must say that Thomas Rhett you are hands down the most awesome musician that i have heard, listen to and follow. Dude you are awesome and I love how you have taken your family and have had them involved with it all! Keep doing what you are doing dude! To me you are the best musician out there! Hands down without a doubt. I have found it a habit to listen to your music as soon as I put the radio on. PS, I took my wife and daughters to see your concert at Met Life Stadium last month.
