Love this shirt and love all your videos. You are one of the best tie dye people on RUclips I truly enjoy your projects and I've tried several of them unfortunately mine never turn out as nice as yours. keep up the good work!
Going to give this a shot on a black denim jacket that I never wear! It fits nicely but it's pretty boring and I want to liven it up! Hope it turns out this rad!
Clear instructions on how to mix the bleach and the neutralizer. I don’t think you have that in your how to playlist. That would be a good tutorial to share. Beautiful rainbow. 🌈💜
Shirt looks awesome! You did an nice job. I tried to do reverse dye & then put color on it. I used tulip dye & it did not show up at all. I even had my shirt light enough too. So next time I’m going to use dharma dyes.
Thank you very much! I used tulip in the very beginning and my results weren’t very vibrant on a white shirt, so I can see where they wouldn’t work on a reverse dye. Dharma’s dyes barely worked!! Try to get as much excess water out before adding the dye. That’s super important!! 😉❤️🌈
I was interested in what this would look like when it was done. It looks great and I'm not sure you could get this from a regular tie dye. You should try this technique for the Aurora look that you were doing...I think that would really work well with this using some light blues greens and yellow where you apply bleach
That’s a good idea, Scott. It’s certainly something to play around with. I’m definitely going to make some more spirals. I’m really happy with the way this one turned out. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😁❤️🌈
Can you just allow the shirt to dry for a few days before adding the dye? Even tho your colors came out really bright do you think they would be brighter doing the shirt barely damp?
I tried that and the soda ash turned rock hard and crystallized so I had to re-soak in the soda ash. I don’t really know how to get around the excess moisture other than untying it and spinning it out and retying it. That doesn’t sound like fun. ❤️🌈
Uh oh. Are you rinsing out the bleach really well? Do you soak it in soda ash again? Don’t give up. Make sure you choose colors that are heavy hitters. Light pinks and baby blues, yellows,,, don’t cover over the bleached area very well. Good luck. 🍀♥️🌈
WOW!! I didn't know it could be so gorgeous. I had the black turn into that orange and it was hard to cover. I'll definitely give bleaching another chance. Do you think Out white Bright would do as well?
Thank you, Peg! I found the bleach hard to cover as well. Primarily because it’s so full of water since I can’t spin it out. OWB would do even better than bleach. It really removes the black!! If you carefully dip the one side it should be fine. I don’t know if you saw the other reverse dye I recently uploaded… OWB removed too much black. 😬❤️🌈
As the now proud owner of this shirt, I can say the video doesn't quite do it justice! The colors pop way more in person and I LOVE it! :D
I’m so happy you like it!!! Thank you so much for this wonderful comment! You made my day! I’m thrilled! 😄❤️🌈
Wow! You’ve got the magic touch. I didn’t think the green would be so pure with that funky contributing pigment of the bleached shirt!
Yeah, the bleach reverse dyes have that strange orange color. They surprisingly turn out pretty cool considering. I really like this one. 🤩❤️🌈
Wow! Too many steps for me but I like to watch you do this. The outcome is amazing. This turned out awesome! Thank you for sharing.
You can do it! They are extra work, but so worth it when they turn out. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😁❤️🌈
Are you kidding me!!!!!! This is the prettiest spiral of the year. I LOVE IT 💗🌈
Wow, thank you, India!!! I don’t know if it’s the prettiest but it’s certainly up there in the top 10. 🥰❤️🌈

I love how all the colors are spread out so it really makes them pop.
Me too! 🖤♥️🌈
I love the bleach tutorial a whole lot. The way you talk through your thought process is super helpful. Loving the Pride spiral. Thanks for the video!
You are so welcome, Ann! I’m glad you found this tutorial helpful. 🥰❤️🌈
This is awesome. Very clear and informative. Thank you for another one. 🏳️🌈
Thanks, Bob. Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️🌈
Wonderful job my friend! I knew you’d nail it! Love this shirt and great video as well! 😊🌈🖤💛
Thank you very much, Riah! 2 out of 4 isn’t so bad for a first try. I’m not giving up yet. 😉❤️🌈
This turned out really nice. I’m surprised at how vibrant it is considering how orange it looked to start with. Great tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you! I’m very pleased with the outcome. 😊❤️🌈
Turned out sooo rad! Makes me want to give bleach dyeing a try too 🌈🌙🎨
Thank you, Lila. You should give it a go. They are time consuming with the extra steps but so worth it when they turn out. 🌜❤️🌈
Very clear instructions and a beautiful outcome. Great job!!!! ✌🏻
Thanks so much!! I appreciate it. 😊❤️🌈

Tie-dyeing is a great way to upcycle cloths that need a pick-me-up. The black makes the colors POP! 😎♥️🌈
I was so worried about that yellow!!! It looks great.
That's funny because I was thinking the exact same thing. I was thinking it would be kinda beige
You and me both! I way over saturated, and it paid off. Thank goodness. 🥰❤️🌈
I was worried it would look orange! 😜❤️🌈
This is beautiful, Steph. Good work. Great video! Thanks 💙💙💙
Thank you so much, Shannon! 😊❤️🌈
Thanks! Awesome results!! Gonna give it a try 🔆❄️
Have fun! ❤️🌈
This turned out pretty cool.
Thank you, Robert! 😊❤️🌈

Beautiful.
Thank you, Lynette! ❤️🌈

Great suggestion! I think I’ll make one. Thank you, Jules! 😁❤️🌈

🤗 Spiral rainbow 🌈💜👏
I love spiral rainbows!! Thanks for the comment! 🥰❤️🌈
Gorgeous!!
Thank you very much, Laura. 🥰❤️🌈
It seems like a lot of extra effort but I think the result is worth it. I really like the rainbow against the black.
It is too much work! I never make them, but yes. They are gorgeous! ♥️🌈
I like this a lot! Great tutorial. Thanks.
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching and commenting!! ❤️🌈
LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

I agree! I have done aurora borealis doing reverse dye with fairly random vertical folds and spraying bleach solution
Can you recommend a type of black shirt that bleaches very light, like ivory or white? Thank you
I use Kirkland or Gildan brand. 😁❤️🌈
Thank you!
This turned out amazing! But what shirt is it?
Do you know how different results might be if I don't have peroxide and instead very heavily rinse before soaking with the soda ash?
Can you get peroxide? I think the bleach will eat holes in the fabric if it’s not neutralized. Try it without and report back. ❤️🌈
I love it , you did a excellent job. Do you sell your shirts?
I do have an Etsy. ❤️🌈 www.etsy.com/shop/BelladonnaDyes?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

Did you soak the black shirt in soda ash prior to discharging?
@@medolark She said she did have to re-soak the shirt in soda ash because it dried out and got to hard and could not tie it like that
Do turn the shirt inside our?
Sylvia, I did not turn this shirt inside out. Typically I do. Especially with the white ones. ❤️🌈
Do you reverse the t shirt to dye it
Yes, It’s a “reverse spiral rainbow” ❤️🌈
Pride Rainbow Colors? Last time I checked it IS and will forever be GODS RAINBOW!
I’m sorry. I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. Everyone is welcome on my channel. ❤️🌈
How long is your hot water cycle?
About 18 minutes. ❤️🌈
I’ve tried to add color twice and they won’t stick 😭washes right out leaving the ugly (imo) orange bleach color
