Every time I visit the Cotswolds I have a new favourite place. This past summer my new favoutite was NAUNTON. Such a charming place! And we had a lovely meal at the pub.❤️
Thanks for showing us around inside the lovely church. My favourite part was the pulpit! I’m glad you were able to enjoy the local pub. Good food and friendly people 👍👍
What an absolutely delightful little documentary! As an American, I'd never even heard of Naunton, but I feel as if I know it intimately after your lovely presentation. Thank you so much! I'll have to check this place out when I visit Britain. Greetings from Los Angeles!
Even a proud Yorkshireman like myself can appreciate the beauty and tranquilityof these vilages. BTW, I have a Book of Psalms produced by Shuckburgh & Reynolds Ltd. Presumably your late brother's company?
Thirty years ago I remember looking down on Naunton when driving from the Fosse Way to Cheltenham, where I was working as a locum for six months. It looked very enticing. I didn’t get round to visiting the village, though I did cycle from Cheltenham, up the Cotswolds scarp, to Guiting Power and other nearby villages. At that time I did not know that some of my direct ancestors came from this area. I have ancestors who were baptised and buried in Naunton, Temple Guiting and Lower Swell, among other places round here. I visited Naunton for the first time last weekend. Thanks for your video: a very nice reminder of my visit. (I find your voice and delivery perfect for this subject.) I feel privileged to have a personal connection with such a wonderful area of England.
Next time we go to Stow we will have to make a detour there. Lovely video as ever and a treat for Sundays. Please could you spend just a little more time filming the streets and houses so we get a better feel for the place?
This week we're in Naunton! Next week, we'll be releasing our Easter special, so keep your eyes peeled 😊
Now that’s my idea of a quintessential English village. So beautiful. So peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
I love the cawing of rooks, a sound of an English spring. Thanks for another wonderful film.

Will be looking forward to the peace of Naunton when I visit later this year, thank you for the wonderful insight 😊
Fascinating!

What a peaceful place- thanks for sharing. Have you ever heard of a village/small town called Rosewood that existed as late as the 1820's?
I am afraid not. There seems to be some suggestion of a place near Winchcombe but I can find no real record. Sorry.
Robin
