I sometimes have the same problem with clip studio when using the pressure sensitive feature. This usually happens because I clicked off the program, right clicked off it or some other matter of getting the input for reading the pen stuck. Usually it fixes it self if I right click on the window of clip studio while it's active, if I reconnect the pen, or save my current work and just restart the program (as a last ditch effort before just restarting my computer). Perhaps if you are using this on a mobile device, the input that judges touch might be stuck or the app choked at one point and will not allow you to change the thickness because it thinks you are still drawing.
