Extra moves and more levels is debatable, but all the rest would be a HUGE welcome, specially better graphics. I love Golden Axe 3, but it always bugged me how some of the levels have ridiculously plain and simple backgrounds, specially when compared to the artful ones in the two prievious games and even other levels of this very game!

Thus, when GA3 came out, to continue that sense of timeline, the only logical story option would be that this is a new generation of different characters. But yeah, perhaps that story decision was made late into the game's development because the character sprites are clearly styled after Ax Battler and Tyris Flare.

Got too old to keep fighting, plus he apperantly got injured or something. That's why he sends whatever hero you first pick up to retrieve the Golden Axe in his stead. The most he did aside from that, lore wise, was to free Proud Krager when the latter was imprisoned.

Please indulge me, I'm going to list here an idea for four playable characters that I would've loved to play as: - the classic Conan-esque Barbarian, but instead of a sword, he wields a double bladed battle axe similar to Gillius'. (c'mon, Conan was also famous for using those too!) - a quarterstaff wielding Amazoness that would be heavily inspired by Zula, from "Conan, the Destroyer". (one of the few good things to come out of that movie, if you ask me) - a Knight who would wield a broadword in one hand and wear a yellow/golden armor set similar to the one from Lt Bitter from the first Golden Axe, except his helmet would let you see his face. - *_this is probably gonna be the most out of place one, I am so sorry._* A Nomad woman wearing turkish clothes and wielding a thin kilij-esque curved sword. Basically, Amira Halgal from the manga "Otoyomegatari". *_(again, I am so sorry)_* Soooo, yeah. There's my list. :P All that is to say, I think at least ONE playable character wearing armor wouldn't be out of place in Golden Axe, as long as it wasn't covering ALL the body (leave the arms and neck exposed, for instance) and its overall design fit with the aesthetic of barbarian fantasy

Golden Axe 3 is a longer game thant GA2, with more playable characters, more enemies, and more movements per player. -Keep in mind that the memory avaliable in a Megadrive cartridge is very limited, the more things you want to put in the smaller and less detailed they have to be. GOlden Axe 3 sprites looks really well done, even with more details than Golden Axe 2 but everything is smaller in order to fit it in the cartridge. -What paid the biggest tool for having so much content was the backgrounds, that looks all squared. The music quality probably was lowered to be smaller, but the tunes still sound very well composed, specially in the first levels. -What it is indeed very poor is the sound design.

The worst Golden Axe game, cheesy happy go-lucky music, lame graphics, and a sad follow up to the awesome Golden Axe 1 and 2. I can see some liking it but I despise this game, especially the soundtrack. Only the character select music is good. But what is junk to some happens to be treasure to others.

In all three Golden Axe's the Skulls are always the most difficult enemies.

Just go left two time or go left for about 1 second turn around and do your special attack and it will do the super duper special
Its hard to do require full circle d-pad move or so but you can do it every so often if you just mash all your controller like supposed to..

Play the game on hard mode.
your credits must have 3
I think you just need to have a high enough score. This is easier to do on Hard mode since there's more enemies for you to kill.
