- INSIDE NORTHERN CAVE -
Head down the spiral path down to the bottom of the crater and enter the lower door. Go right and make your way down the icy ledges and take the lower exit.
Drop down the initial ledge, then go right and drop down to the cave below, then head inside it. Head down to the next exit below in the cave and go through it to find yourself on the ledge below in the previous room. Now continue following the path by dropping down to the very bottom of and take the southern exit to reach the main intersection.
Now make sure your party all have a strong weapon equipped and a Wizard Bracelet along with 2 x HP Plus materia each. Give Cloud the W-Item x 1, EXP Plus x 1 and the Enemy Lure x 2 materia and a Ribbon accessory. Give the 3rd character 2 x Pre-Emptive materia and a Ribbon accessory, then give the 2nd character a Safety Bit accessory. Then save your game once done.
Once ready, leave via the southwest exit, then go through the east exit to reach a room with a large swamp with broken paths amongst it and a few chests. Take the south path first which will lead to the southeast chest that contains a Magic Source x 1. Go back to the entrance and take the north path to eventually jump in the water and automatically jump out to the east. Follow the path up and then left to reach the northern chest for a Remedy x 1. Then take the northeast exit.
Follow the path north and take the Vaccine x 1 from the northwest chest. Then go back east slightly and climb the rock to the north to grab the Shield x 1 materia which is glowing green. Climb down the rock beside the materia you just collected to dive into the water and reach the southwest chest. Take the Imperial Guard x 1 armour from the chest and then swim back to the rock. Now go back to the middle path and take the Hero Drink x 1 from the southeast chest.
We will now farm the enemies in this room until we reach level 97.5 with a single character as the Magic Pot enemy can spawn here which gives a massive 8000 x EXP each and the Master Tonberry will drop 6000 x EXP. You will kill only the Master Tonberry and Magic Pot enemies that appear and escape from the rest. If you encounter the Magic Pot enemy, you must use an Elixir on them first before you can damage them but this is very simple if you use the W-Item materia exploit to duplicate items.
To perform the W-Item exploit (this materia allows you to use 2 items at a time for the cost of 1), you use the 1st item, then when selecting the target for the 2nd, you simply cancel back to the item selection and this action duplicates the 1st item, it’s that simple! Then just pick the 2nd item, cancel target selection, pick the 2nd item, cancel target selection etc to keep duplicating the 1st item. You can use this to amass a full stack of Elixirs x 99 quickly which are usually quite a nuisance to obtain.
So now keep running around to trigger battles and defeat the enemies until your level 97.5. You can go to level 99 if you wish, but the final boss will push you from 97.5 - 99. Once done, go back and save your game, then return to this room and head through the northeast exit.
In the room with a large glowing light in the middle, go south and follow the path west over to the central glowing light. Then interact with the top of the glowing light to obtain the Counter x 1 materia. Now grab the W-Magic x 1 materia from below the northern leaves. This purple materia is very hard to see, it will be beside the leaves at approximately the 1 'o'clock direction from the middle of the glowing light. Take the west exit once you have everything to reach the bottom of the crater.
Another platinum done, all thanks to this guide. Keep up the awesome work. :-)
Incredible guide Opti. Very easy to follow and everything was perfectly explained. I was never confused. Happy to add this to my collection. You've mentioned your Final Fantasy 8 guide a few times now and how good is that guide? Is it similar to this one? I never planned to play FF8 but if it's as easy to follow as this one I might check it out.
its a great deal older so not sure how my commentary is, but same sorta thing yea
That’s a good way to defeat Emerald weapon . I think I managed it with a nights of the round counter at max with cloud . I can’t remember the exact strat . I’m looking forward to re platting this game in a few weeks . Awesome guide so far
What a way to speed platinum! 🔥 All that time I previously spent on racing and breeding chocobo 😂 prepping up battles for the two deadly weapons zzz.. Now you're probably as rich as a Shinra with 1billion gil, thanks a lot for the guide as always! You're a gem ❤️
thanks for the 100 percent again bro!
Fantastic guide, much appreciated!
Great guide thanks, hope you do ff9 one day
do cyberpunk 2077 plz
Thanks! :)
You are the goat of gaming guides. You inspired me to start my own gaming channel. Keep up the good work.
Marvelous game opti and good job sir thank you 🙌🕺
I’m missing the Gil trophy. Is there a video that says how to get that one?
@@Keese46. Yea we did it already, we sold every ALL materia, about 70 of them, dont you recall? Should be in this one
@@Optinooby I haven’t watched them all yet, so was wondering if there was a point I could skip. It’s the only one missing from when I got all the other trophies a few years ago.
if you have all the other trophies, then the way i do it wont work for you, you maybe want too use my farming spot at the end to level the ALL mtetias
Great fucking guide, my man. thanks a lot!
I'm not quite at platinum yet. Just taking a break from grinding Clouds levels and wanted to write this comment real quick. I don't think I would've played this game if I hadn't seen your guide. I followed your MG1&2 guide after I unknowingly bought it together with MGS1 (thought it was only part of the entire collection) and I had a blast following you to see a classic game that I originally missed out on.
I'm definitely gonna go through your library and look for some more of these older games I might wanna complete with your guidance, so keep them coming :D
Pleasure mate, great games those are ;)
Any plans for Elden Ring DLC in future? (someday)
Local bosses kinda insane...so your tips and tricks might save the day here. :D
@@kiranis2174 Not currently, I cant shake off the fact that anytime i put into it working on builds, will be completely wasted when they come along and patch it again, which they said they will. So i may wait until the patches have finished, then come back and cover it....
Thanks for another platinum!
Well done mate!
another game to add to my list to Plat ;)
