Dos veces medallista en Juegos Panamericanos (plata en 2007 y bronce en 2011) compitiendo en la clase snipe, Defazio comenzó a competir en Nacra 17 con el objetivo de participar en los Juegos Olímpicos de Río 2016. La meta la cumplió junto a Mariana Foglia. Afrontó su segunda campaña olímpica junto a Dominique, cumpliendo con el objetivo de la clasificación.

Velerista olímpica de la clase Nacra 17, clasificada a Tokio junto a Pablo Defazio al obtener el cuarto puesto en los Juegos Panamericanos de Lima 2019.

Well done. Congratulations. But what kind of record have you set here? Some explanation would be great.
Took some research but here you go: By road, it's about 134 km from Punta del Este to Montevideo which takes about 2 hours, 6 minutes to drive. The coastline is slightly concaved so the distance by water would be somewhere around 129 km. To do that in 4 hours they would have to average a bit over 32 km/h, or a bit under 17.5 knots. Of course these boats can go much faster but that's for short distances. It takes a lot of work to sail them and 4 hours of that level of effort would be taxing.
I think the record is 56 knots done by a french.. the trimaran hydrofoil..
