I have been shopping and eating organically and gmo free for 2 1/2 yrs. I have reversed my asthma and diabetes and lost 100 pounds. I educate my friends and family to eat the same way and to spread the word as much as possible.

Been doing it for almost 4 years now after getting diagnosed with thyroid nodules and researching our foods. Organic is not always more expensive and sometimes it might be 50 cents more.
People will complain about a pound of Organic Chicken being say 5.99 a pound but those same people will go and buy a McDonalds meal for $6-7 that will last them less than a pound of chicken.
Organic non-gmo chips will cost about the same per bag. Organic fruits cost more, but if you buy frozen organic fruits it is more expensive, but not as much as fresh, same for veggies. Trader Joes is a great place for organic produce.
People your health is worth the extra cost.

I have found that eating organically is cost effective for me because I also combine it with being in a state of ketosis. If I eat high carb/sugar (as I used to) I am on the hunger train but once into ketosis I am just not hungry and can focus on High nutrition per calorie and high quality organic food because I don't need to eat all day and night. Also once in ketosis it is so easy to do intermittent fasting and weight control is so simple. If I find at the end of a week I have put on a couple of Kg I simply reduce my "healthy" fat intake and/or increase my exercise and within days I am back to normal. Combining ALL these methods is AWSOME!!.

My kids have been into organic for a long time but I am just getting started. I was diagnosed with hashimotos 2 years ago. Doctors (internist & Endo) have done NOTHING to help me! I started researching on my own & learned diet is the big factor. I quit dairy, grains, soy, sugar, gluten & follow AIP diet. I buy mostly organic when I can and non GMO. I just watched your video on salt and oddly enough, I just bought Himalayan salt last week and threw out the regular salt!! I've lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks, lots of energy! I can't believe the difference! I also quit my cholesterol and antidepressants, only taking vitamins. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!

GMOs should be ILLEGAL EVERYWHERE! Instead of having labels saying the food is "non GMO," for heaven's sake, don't have these poisons ANYWHERE! Good heavens, that is common sense. Human, plant, and animal lives are far more important than money. It's really true that "the love of money is the root of all evil."

Everything you are saying is absolutely true. We do not use any chemicals on our fields but we are surrounded by corporation farms that use TONS (semi loads) of Monsanto chemicals. Small farms hardly exist here anymore. Our opportunity to buy foods without GMOs is very limited. We do eat eggs from our own chickens, milk from our goats, and raise beef without antibiotics, hormones, or anything else. They are strictly grass fed. But, we are a small drop in a big bucket here in northwest Kansas. We are so glad you are getting this out there!!!

I do shop organic and non gmo. I lieve in a low income community but through Sbcs we have an RLA (Resident Leadership Academy) class where they thought us how to eat and how to buy. We watch videos like forks vs. knives, food inc. many videos that are a mind opener. Thanks to that class my son became vegetarian. And me I always make sure that my food says organic and verified non gmo.

Hi from UK. We don't have gm crops here but they could be in animal feeds and proceced foods and our government has not banned the use of roundup. I don't eat meat now and l am seriously thinking about buying organic veg. I was shocked to find out all of the major cereal companies were using GO's to produce their cereals, a food that is most likely fed to children. It is sad that you now have to pay extra money to eat poison free foods that were at one time normal. My eye is now looking and checking labels . I am also surprised at the amount of people who are not even aware of what is happening to our foods . I feel like we are being led into a trap where our food supplies are going to be controlled by corporations.

Can't thank you guys enough. Dr. Axe, you along with another Dr. here on RUclips are the main people that got me thinking, questioning, and researching since 2010. You guys literally had a part in saving my life. I could be in a wheel chair and in and out of the hospital or not even here right now. I am sadly still un-diagnosed and on a long road to get official answers, but I'm pretty sure that I may have Celiacs. I've gotten rid of so many problems, but the thing that seems to be left are these stupid GMO's and stuff like that. I just keep on feeling sick during this time I'm supposed to be healing from the damage done by wheat/corn. Haven't been able to keep up my weight due to my sudden "sickness" due to this. So I cut out meat for a while and then mostly eating chicken. I have such a small list of foods that only seem to be getting smaller and it's pretty terrifying. Sorry for the sappy story, lol. I just wanted to let you know that you really do a good job at what you do. We need all the advice we can get and will continue to look out for more information from this channel. May God keep you all honest.

I never take in GMOs in any form and never have ...to my knowledge. But medicine is now almost all gmo. I recently had an ear infection and went to doctor. Told doctor I can't take gmo and she laughed at me. She told me to call her if I have any adverse reactions. I had several reactions and called the following day. I spoke to her nurse, promised doctor would call. No call. Instead, called my health insurance company and said I was mentally incompetent.!!! I'm 67 and in perfect health. My blood work is better than most 40 year Olds. I still work and own a 4 bedroom house with a barn and over acre of land. I outlived my children and husband. I do it all alone. I'm fine. I had a ear infection. Now, health insurance wants to come to my home and evaluate my mental status. I need a physician in my area. I'm in Chattanooga area. Please help me find a decent doctor.

I'm on board for the organic foods unfortunately where I live in Pennsylvania Scranton to the exact there isn't much variety of it. and it's very hard to convince the people that live here family friends to eat organic. I stand alone in my group. I'm all for organic. and down with Monsanto Chemical Company get rid of them let's get rid of them

I don't drive and I need to be eating a keto diet, to improve my health. I know Aldis is inexpensive, but they always seem to have organic food. What do you guy's think? I think this video is amazing! I wasn't on the interest until 2015, except for Facebook. I've never been on a computer, still to this day. I first heard about GMO'S, from Alex Jones. I try my hardest to buy everything organic, that the store has. I took a flu shot in November, 2010 and within 3 day's my breathing was so bad, that I couldn't walk from my bedroom to the bathroom. I had to make 2 stops, in the living room, for 5 minutes each stop. Our government is purposely trying to make us sick and kill us. They are using slow kill methods to kill us. GMO'S are just one way of making us sick. We need to stop buying them.

Here in Europe, EU allowed seed companies to use the same technology as GMO seeds, when making organic seeds. The seeds are called CMS-hybrid. When you buy organic produce in Europe, there is a chance it’s CMS.
I’m wondering if they are doing the same thing in America?
Most people don’t know about it.

I don't eat corn due to fear of eating GMO. I actually grow a lot of my herbs(rosemary, dill, sage, oregano, thyme, tarragon, basil), medicinal herbs(chamomile, rue), mints(sweet mint, lemon balm, bee balm, orange mint), fruit trees(lemon, papaya, guava, apple), fruit(strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes), veggies(carrots, garlic, chayote). I don't have much room in my plot it's small but I make most of it by growing vertically, pot, and plant planning. I added a drip system that saves on water. Have my own little worm bin for worm compost, and welcome good bugs in my garden,no pesticides, I added a lot of non chemical fertilizers. If I fail on growing something I can always try next season and do research on how to change things.

Unfortunately, not all farmers markets are cheaper than the grocery stores. Many farmers base their prices on what is being charged for the same produce at the big food store next door. Not worth the extra stop for $.05 off my peppers, even feeding a household of 6+. It's all about lining their pockets more than it is about providing more people access to less expensive, healthier foods. This is especially true for those growers who do not have the additional cost of non-GMO or organic certifications. While I agree with free market capitalism, it's still unfortunate that many of these small farmers aim more for bigger profits for the same time and material investment as conventional farmers rather than concentrating on supporting healthy eating habits in their communities. (Why exactly did they go into farming in the first place?) And to see the waste that ends up in the compost heaps at these farms is disgusting! Not even local food banks (due to regulations) are allowed to receive these "fresh" foods. I am, however, very thankful that we DO have the option to buy local.... so far.

I eat shoprite onions and carrots (raw vegetables) regularly. I sure would like to know if they have been sprayed with round up. There is no labeling- no indication one way or the other. I desperately want to avoid roundup, because I've developed a digestive disease from eating unlabeled, commercial corn chips. If any one knows wether carrots and onions are roundup ready, I'd sure like to know. Thanks

I'm a 💯% vegan for the past 10 months have only been buying organic and non GMO Foods, it's very expensive but cheaper than the doctors visit!! since I became vegan I have not gotten a cold, before that I used to get every cold that pass by because I deal with little kids!! however when I go to the vegan restaurant almost everything is made out of soy!! I heard you Dr Axe said many many times to stay away from soy!! I used to be cheese bacon and chicken wings abuser!! I found a vegan restaurant that serves ham and grilled cheese sandwiches and the ham is made out of soy of course and I love it!! LoL so I trust that the soy is non-GMO... is there anything as non-GMO soy Dr Axe?

Yes eating organic & GMO free is important and can a major factor in infertility. Currently I buy all my plant based foods (fruits & veggies) organic, dairy organic however it has been difficult to find grass feed meat so I only focus on wild caught fish. There is not an abundance of farmer markets in NYC.

Like the journal, thanks. Also, get rid of Microwaves! so many people are dying of cancer, do they drink cokes? dah... Need NON GMO

Awesome Educational Video! After watching on Netflix "What the health" , "Cow" & "Food,Inc".... I am aware of all the harm the entire Agriculture Industry using GMO seeds, Monsanto is the culprit, the greedy company who is damaging our soil in the farms, genetically modified seeds to be pesticide proof, so crops won't die, farmers still spray pestide for crop insects making that a double dosage of poision. So what happens? All this corn goes both ways animal feed consumption/ human food consumption. The farms win by getting their cows, pigs, chickens, farm raised fish like Tilapia, catfish etc to all Americans. Just like Dr. Jeff stated, this pesticide makes holes into these crop critters and also makes tiny holes in our bodies when consumed.
Excema- Leaky Gut- Auto immune diseases- heart, lung health issues. All caused by GMO.
Dear Humans, Stay away from this horrible food, the industry always makes food commercials seem fun, happy, delicious but truth to the matter is people are getting seriously sick.
