The players want Freeman. The recruits want Freeman. Boosters want Freeman. Understand Jack’s over due diligence as a lawyer but this doesn’t need to be over thought on. The recruiting classes will be so good that if Freeman doesn’t get it done then the talent will still be plentiful for say a Fickell down the road, if need be.

If true Bryan, if Rees is waiting to see what Freeman does. That just shows how much respect Rees has for Freeman with the small amount time they've known each other on the staff over Kelly that brought Rees into the program. Kind of says a lot on what Tommy thinks of Brian personally! Tommy can easily be on the next flight out to the Bayou but to wait. Raises questions!

Just like who ever we hire. Most likely we will get his coaches too. That's just the way it goes. The Irish will rebound and get through this. Go Irish!

Mostly of Kelly's own doing. He definitely brought the program back to consistent high level, top 10/top 6 football.
He also proved that his own poor game coaching, lack of motivating big games, and inability to get rid of a few awful asst coaches who are his buddies every year...that he's not a championship coach. He won't do it at LSU, either.

Bob Davie and Charlie Weis are outdated, bad examples for your argument, if that's what you're saying.
      - Bob Davie was not even a great DC
      - Davie was also a poor recruiter, and proved to be an awful coach on a much smaller stage(showing he was a bad coach altogether regardless of experience)
      - Charlie Weis was a bad hire because he was a NFL OC, who was disorganized, and unprofessional. He lacked the will to grind and develop players at the college level.
Comparing a Marcus Freeman to that make little sense. He a proven college high level asst coach, whom many programs see as a head coach now. Recruiter, motivator, highly respected by all the players(they're all asking for him now) and all the coaches.
Ready to miss out on potential next first time highly successful HC, for who?; Brohm? Campbell (laughable)?
